Hi everyone,
Hope you don't mind me joining in here. Here are my details for the first page (Sarah, I have emailed these to you)

Tonight I had my first specialist appointment after getting a referral from my GP who was concerned I wasn't yet pregnant after 16 months. Both mine and my DH's tests are all perfectly fine and my specialist doesn't see why we shouldn't be pregnant already. He said that IVF is the way to go and there is no miracle pill I can take as I already ovulate etc etc..
I guess I am confused because it probably isn't the outcome I expected from my first appointment - straight to IVF. Has this happened to anyone else before?
He has given us referrals for follow up blood tests, another SA for DH and I have to have an ultrasound. Once the results from those are known then I have to go back and see him so we can discuss a plan of action. He also said that given my age (29) I have a high chance of success on IVF and that is another reason not to wait around and keep trying naturally. The Dr seemed quite agressive in his approach but I did like him, and I guess it's better than having someone who takes a more relaxed approach and is in no hurry.

Sorry for the long rambling post, I'm a bit all over the place tonight.

Please bare with me while I get to know all of you lovely ladies!
