Ohh big  and special thoughts for Janee Cherie and Alex. The TWW is bad enough without having such an anser at the end.
My thoughts and best wishes are with you all for next round. Hmmm come to think of it, it is a bit like boxing. Ding Ding Ding
Shan - I have my fingers crossed for you.... the TWW is so long !!!
I had one emby transferred on Friday and 6 frozen. One was a bit lazy and got left on the couch (takes after DH already !). Initialy got 12 with, 8 fertilising.
It feels really wierd this time in the TWW, the constant thought that there is an emby on board and wondering what is going on is doing my head in !!!
Sending lots of luck and happy vibes out to every one.

Oh Alex hun ... I'm so sorry to hear your news. Words can't say how sad I feel for you :hugs:
Well now that Alex, Janee and me have all had BFN's, surely that has to be the end of 3 bad things ... and that means that some BFP's are on the way :bfp:
ETA: I know I'm supposed to be having a break ... I just had to jump on and see how you went Alex.
-
Hi Lovelies,
Just popped in to say a big Thank you to all you wonderful ladies for your kind thoughts and support. It's not an easy thing to go through, but having you all to lean on through good and bad times is really a great help.
We have to take at least a months break to get all the meds out of my system before we can go for our FET. I will definately be popping in though to check up on you all....so get cracking with those :bfp: 's !!!!! I have a really good GF who is embarking on her first IVF/ICSI cycle in the next month or so and I have already recruited her to BB so we'll have another runner!!!!
Anyway hope everyone is feeling great and can't wait to chat to you all very very soon :)
Lots of Love to all
Alex xoxoxo

Cherie, janee and Alex,
sorry I've been MIA but wanted to belatedly say how sorry I am that your cycles didn't succeed. Like Tam said, it's a numbers game, so while you may not have had the result you wanted this time, your next cycle has every chance of being the one to work, as does each transfer. Keep strong girls, though I know it's so hard to. IVF does work, it sometimes just takes time.
love

Good morning ladies,
Well it's official you have a new member, ME! My appointment didn't go very well yesterday. The second I saw my ovaries I knew I had PCO. Cysts were everywhere. I had blood tests this morning to see if I have PCO or PCOS. I have my next appointment on July 3rd to see what treatment we are going to be stared on depending on what my blood tests show. On a positive I don't have to take my temp every morning anymore. My gynie doesn't see the point of it. I found that interesting.
I'm going to read back over all the posts and catch up on you ladies and your stories. I already know one or two from another thread.
Shan - Where do you live? How do you find Dr Giltrap?
Sari - Best of luck in your TWW. Stick little embie stick :crossfingers: .
Cherie & Alex - thinking of you
Hi Sushee
Danni - Best of luck catching the eggie petal. Then that horrid TWW begins.

We're going to be going for a harvest this year, but are not planning on going the emplant straight away. There are a few things we want to do before we try to fall pregnant. We're harvesting so that the eggs are only 36 instead of say 38 - 40.
Drew and I haven't sat down and worked out exactly when we'll start the hormones etc, but it will be this year.
-
Hi everyone....
Dan - I'm near Bright. I got onto Dr Giltrap through my GP as a referall (sp?) and i've been seeing him (well pretty much just the nurses) since the end of September last year. He did my lap for me in November but other than that, i've probably only seen him 2 other times. The girls are great though so i'm not too concerned about it.
Sari - yes this TWW is soooo long.....it's been nearly a 4WW for me though and still no AF. Don't know whats going on there. I might POAS again in the next few days. Maybe i o'd later than i thought...
Danni - Thanks for the freak comment...:p DH calls me that too sometimes....hehehe
Hi to everyone else that i've missed, chookie, alex, cherie, sushee......thinking of you all.
-
Hi all, thought I'd pop in and say hi again after my meltdown of last week. I now noticed there are more BFN's...Alex and Cherie, my thoughts are with you and I know how you feel....let's hope for better luck in the future!
I am currently chilling out, I have picked up the broken peices of my soul, sticky taped them back together and hoping that the future will be more optimistic and positive for all of us.
Take care everyone.
Good luck Sari, I do hope your little embie is a sticker!
Janee
-
Hi Janee....glad to see you back. Take all the 'chill' time you need and just know that we are all thinking of you and that sticky tape does wonders doesn't it....LOL
Well girls, i caved and POAS today. Once again i got a BFN, so i rang the clinic to let them know and they are sending me for a BT tomorrow morning just to make sure, as they were a bit suprised that AF hadn't shown up yet....
Have a great night everyone..
-
Shan, do you usually have 'normal' cycles?
-
Good luck with your Blood test tomorrow. Praying it's a BFP for you.
-
Good luck with it Shan - hope you get some answers...(of course, preferably a nice +ve one!)
-
Hi everyone
Sorry I have been MIA a bit (too many assignments due plus meltdown)
Shan - just wnated to wish you all the best with the test and hope that you get a pleasant surprise
I'll post over the weekend when I have more time
Hope everyone is well
Cheers
-
Thanks guys.......i had my BT this morning, so have to ring through for the results in about an hour and a half. Hopefully they have them in. Last time they were late and considering that that test was taken on a Friday too, i had to wait until Monday to get the results. Hope that doesn't happen this time....
Tam - My cycles have been pretty normal whilst on the clomid. I had a lap done in November last year and that delayed my cycle for a few weeks and AF didn't come until the end of Dec. Then i had continuous bleeding for 56 days, which appartenly was due to a cyct, so other than that (and cosidering i wasn't even on the clomid then) my cycles have been pretty regular.
I'll let you all know asap after i get my results.
-
:crossfingers: for you Shan!

:hello: Just thought i would say HI and ask if anyone has any suggestions on how i can stay SANE during my TWW. Im only half way through and my mind is playing tricks on me alllll the time  I keep thinking i am getting period pain but the nurses told me even if i do, it can still be quite normal to get some pain and still be pregnant. Not sure if thats the case or if they are just being nice  Has anyone else ever experienced some pain or twinges when they were pregnant ??????????????
But until AF shows up im still  for a positive result !!
Hope you are all well and have something EXCITING planned for the long weekend.
Cheers
Char
-
Char - the only advice i can give you is to relax and keep yourself as busy, busy, busy as possible. The more your mind is occupied with other things, the better it will be.
Good luck hun....hope it's a BFP for you soon...
-
Char,
pg cramps and af cramps are almost identical, so it could be either. Hoping it's the former for you!
love
sushee
-
hi everyone.... :hello:
Just letting you know that my bt results are in and it's a BFN...
I knew it would be, so now i'm going to concentrate on getting myself fit before tackling AIH...
Thanks for everyone's thoughts and i'll jump on tomorrow to catch up...
-
Oh crap Shan, I'm so sorry. Did they give you any indication of what's going on with your cycle?
-
Nup...the plan now is to just wait for AF to come along, but i'm taking an extended break from the AC for now, as the next step would be AIH, but i want to lose some weight and get myself mentally prepared before jumping into it. I know that my weight is an issue, so i'd rather get fit if i'm going to be spending money i don't really have and giving my self the best chance at concieving.
I spoke to the nurses at the clinic about this, and they actually commended me on my decision, as they said that they have soooo many people that don't accept their weight as an issue and won't believe that this could be a factor in why they are having so much trouble with AIH, IUI and IVF.
So thats the plan....we're out of the shop on the 20th (10 more sleeps...YAY!!!) so when DH's first pay cheque comes in from his new job, i'll be off to join the gym and spend the next three months in there for about 4 hours a day. Hopefully i can get rid of at least 10kg....and by then, i'll be loving the gym and the feeling that i get from excersising, that i'll have no problem keeping it up. Maybe not 4 hours a day, but at least a couple of hours every second day etc....
Well that's what i'm telling myself anyway...hehehe
-
Shan - Lovely we are very much in the same place. I am really into my gym routine now and I don't think I have ever enjoyed exercise so much in my life! I go 3 times a week for an hour to an hour and a half. Tuesday & Thursdays straight from work and Saturday afternoons. It's been 3 weeks now and I have not missed a day, so proud of myself. I haven't weighed myself since my initial appointment but I know I am sure to have lost a couple of kg's already, I think I might wait another month before a weigh and measure. I have tried the gym a few other times in my life and just hated it but this time it's different. Because I know if I keep this up it's all for the greater good and when we go to IVF I will be giving us every possible chance of getting pg. I accept that my weight could be an issue with us not being able to fall pg and I am determined to take that out of the equation!!
:hello: everyone else!!
I just went and brought the Lonely Planet guide to Europe, only 10 months until our trip, time to start planning what we are going to see!!

-
Hey Chookie.....good to see you. Let me know how you go with your weight loss. We are definately on the same wavelength, and you will be my inspiration....xxx
-
Shan & lil Chookie, I am doing the same as you guys at the moment. We are planning to try IVF around August and I am madly excercising and have joined WW. If I have to go through IVF I also want the best possible chance of it being successful. I am about 20kgs overweight so I am really focused on this at the moment. I have to give us the best chance at a family and becoming fitter and healthier is an added bonus.
-
Welcome to the club Megan...we'll all have to go and join the health and fitness threads with all the other girls down there....best of luck to you and i hope you reach your 20kg loss goal soon...
-
Awww Shan :hugs: I wish your BT had come back with different results hun.
And well done to Shan, Chookie and Megan for your weight loss efforts ... I am determined to lose some weight before our FET in July, even if it's only a couple of kgs, I figure that should make a difference. I have started going to the gym again (it kind of went by the wayside during my last cycle).
-
Yay Cherie... :confetti: Welcome to the club.....
-
well done everyone with working on weight, this has been a pet project of mine this year and I have lost 7 kgs so far, I have not lost much the last month or so because I have been sick and studying so much. I was doing WW and found the counting was starting to do my head in a bit. I am going to see a dietician on Wednesday to look at my diet and re-jig things a bit so I can keep losing weight and not feel deprived (I have a lot of issues with food and dieting) They say a loss of 5% of total body weight is often enough to get things moving, which I have managed to do. So I have 7kgs to go. You have all inspired me to pull my socks up, gosh comfort eating doesn't help does it.
Hope everyone is well.
-
Congrats on you loss so far Jane....i have always been under the impression that it is 10% of body weight that can make all the difference, but 5 sounds good to me...good luck with the remaining 7kg....
-
Shan, that's what my dietician said to me, she does a lot of work with PCOS girls and I was 89 kgs when I saw her last (before I started to lose weight) and she kept saying "there's only 5 kg's in it for you". (which is roughly 5%)
Like you say 5 is a good start, perhaps she says it to get people started? 10 can be a huge difference can't it?
My dietician also does work with the Big GIrls Group through the Royal Womens Hospital here in Melbourne, if anyone wants her details let me know, I think she is great.
