    Hi Ladies

No a real lot happening here. FF has put O day back so I'm 4DPO lol.

Anyway had my appointment with QFG today with Dr DeAmbrosis and he is suggesting IUI. He also suggested IVF but DH wants to give IUI a shot first and see how we go. I'm happy with that.

He did the dildo cam (Iwas not expecting that) and showed DH and I my uterus and my ovaries (yes that's right DH was there in the room while I had the dildo cam). My condition of PCOS is confirmed although I have none of the symptoms except irregular AF.

So I'm waiting for this dredded 2WW to be over so we can start on our IUI path.

porsche- glad the appointment went well and you have a diagnosis of PCOS (well not glad, but you know what I mean) Hopefully IUI works for you. Dildo Cam! What an hilarious term! It's slightly shocking though isn't it? Hope DH didn't faint or anything!

    Hi Ladies

Lol yeah dildo cam. DH took it in his stride nothing fazes him although I'm not sure he knew where abouts to look. And I don't think DH was ready for the drop ya pants lets have a look at ya bits lol. I guess if we don't laugh we cry might as well have a bit of fun with it.

I was diagnosed with PCOS but it was never confirmed the first dildo cam i ever had was focused on my large ovary veins (which is totally normal for someone who has had kids) so they just took it as highly suggestive that I have it. It's great to finally have it confirmed.

Ive never really thought of it from the mans point of view because my hubby hasnt been with me for any ultrasounds but i can imagine the uncomfort they must feel having someone - specially a male giving the ultrasound, poor fellas lol

glad you have some sort of answer now hopefully there will be some solutions to help you out

oh and on a totally different note i must say how nice, friendly and welcoming all you ladies are to each other and new comers, i went to another forum to talk to people going through the ivf and first post i made didnt get a reply and the second i only got 2 replys - much different to this one

Oh Tammara, Its hard isnt it.. DONT do a pg test yet, I did one after i got my blood test results that said positive just so we could see it with our own eyes, that was on day 10 and the line was still very faint took a few days after that for it to become darker..
I think it was day 3 that i felt a little cramping which was the attaching, only lasted a couple of hours and was just like little pinching in my stomache, maybe something to look out for..

    Hey Ladies,

OMG Tammara, I am so excited for you I cant believe how quickly this has all gone. Everything is crossed for you, I so so so so so hope that this works first time around for you. Counting down the days until the 25th, as I'm sure you are! 1 week to go. That sounds way better than 7 days, yippee!

Frustrated, so glad to see you pop back in here. How's everything going? Wow you must be over half way by now? How exciting!

Porsche, love dildo cam that is hilarious! Yeah hubby has come to one of those with me years ago, didn't seem to bother him but it was a lady for me so prob a lot better. Yeah he was funny though when we got he looked at me and said "I couldn't see a thing on the screen, it just looked like a stuffed TV to me", very cute I thought.

Hey Bec, how do you find the acupuncture? I have thought about doing it just as a way to help me relax sometimes. GL TTC this month, fingers crossed for you
AFM: Well AF arrived on Friday (On day 28, almost to the hour) which is very bizarre for me as I have a 35 day cycle, or at least I have for the past 6 months on Clomid. So perhaps the lap has worked. I did a BT on day 21 and yes I O’d so that’s fantastic news (O with no Clomid, woo hoo). So I started 100mg of Clomid this round (Gyno just wants to give us every possible chance to fall before we go to IVF), have only ever been on 50mg or 75mg so am a little nervous as to how my moods are going to become. Just trying to stay positive though, I have a good feeling about it at the moment. DH and I are off to see IVF specialist (Gyno) on March 4th to get more info, what it involves (for both of us), costs etc. From that point at least we can look at making an informed decision with a bit of time up our sleeves whilst we still try.
A couple of questions: I know we have already talked about it but now I’m totally confused. I bought Pre-Seed and am now not sure weather to use it. Does anyone know for sure if it is better TO USE or NOT TO USE, THAT is the question, ha ha I make myself laugh. I don’t NEED to use it but I thought it was good for the sperm (help them get where they’re going).
The next question is about taking vitamin B (either in tablet form or injections) whilst on Clomid. I just want it to pep me up a little but don’t want to use it if it’s an issue.

Sorry about the long post (again).
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the stage they are at (as much as we can).
It’s defiantly time for some BFP’s on here, good luck girls!

Porsche - Best of luck with IUI, I hope you have success and don't have to go to IVF. I heard they do about 4 cycles of IUI then if no good, you go to IVF - is that true? LOL @ the Dildo Cam! Is it similar to an internal u/s?

Tammara - So glad you feel welcomed on this thread/forum. Sometimes you feel so alone/isolated that you need a support forum (like this one) and if nobody responds to you, you just feel worse

Keli - Sounds like the lap was a success! I hope things go well for you on the higher dose of Clomid. Do you take it at night before going to bed? That's what I do (although I am only on 50mg) and very rarely do I have symptons, except for hot flushes, which sometimes wake me up & donna comes flying off! I would love to hear about your FS appt - what is involved etc.... I have only drawn conclusions from snippets of other peoples appts, so not sure if the process is 'individual' or standard procedure?

In relation to using pre-seed - I have heard not to if doing IVF...I think it would be beneficial to use it whilst on Clomid since Clomid drys mucous up....

Vitamin B - Usually assists with lengthening your LP. I don't know if it will interfere with Clomid. Have you tried googling it?

AFM - Got cramping and a sore back - which is usually a sign of AF on her way. Hoping it is just a coincidence but something tells me it won't be She is due Saturday and if she doesn't arrive I will test Sunday with FMU.

    Take care all
    x

hey keli re: vitamin B - if it helps i have VERY low iron and i had been on iron tablets and also 1 vitamin B shot a week for 4 weeks and my iron levels did not increase they actually went down, i started eating spinach and my levels went from 1-2 up to 5 in a month and i noticed a huge difference in energy so might be worth giving it a go. i hate spinach but found it eatable cooked with onion and garlic - took the spinach taste away and just try and add it to everything

Hey Tammara, ok cool thanks so much for the info! I might give that a try b4 I go and ask gyno FS if I can go on vit B. I don't mind spinich so that could work well.

Hey Rhichichi, yeah I do take clomid at night and that really helps me out, but I get a bit crabby later in the month on Clomid, hopefuy this month will be better! Yeah for sure I will give you all the details once I have seen FS about IVF. Good luck for Saturday!

    Hi RhiChiChi

Dildo cam is the internal ultrasound lol. I think we'll do 3 IUI's and then move on to IVF. I'm not sure if it's 3 or 4 IUI's before IVF.

Keli - Hopefully the higher dose does the trick for you. lol DH's are funny aren't they. My DH probably thought the same.

to all you other ladies lurking around.

    Hi guys,

Glad to hear of all the positive stuff happening and get some giggles from the dildo cam!

Not much happening with me (except too much work)! Still no idea if AF or post op bleeding. Have begun taking temperatures again to see if ov but they are (once again) all over the place so I doubt it. Looks like I will be back on clomid soon.

    Tammara - good luck!!

Re LAPAROSCOPY peps... has anyone's belly button cut taken a while to heal? I feel like mine will still split and it was 3 weeks ago! Also, has anyone's belly button "structure" changed? Weird question but mine is now of an oblong button rather than round and is really deep!

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend!

Hey all, just letting you know that I am out for this month - AF showed this morning (I thought as much). DH is having his swimmers tested on Tuesday, so maybe some answers will show up there as to why we can't get pg? If not, on clomid for two more rounds then back to OBS/GYNO for lap.

Have a great weekend all x

    Morning Ladies,

Hey Tammara, only 5 more sleeps, I am so excited for you, good luck, good luck, good luck

Hey 20094me, sorry to hear AF arrived, you ok? That will be good for DH to get tested, cant believe they have't already done that, tell him good luck. As for my scars, my side one on my tummy (I had 3) took the longest to heal properly, I pulled a desolving stitch out of it the other day (TMI I know I'm sorry). But I found all 3 healed at very different paces, FS has seen them though and not concerned about it so I think it's kinda normal. As for my belly button, yes it did go from a cute round deep one to a long funny looking thing but it is starting to look normal again, had lap 4-5 weeks ago now, so maybe just some time will help it heal & return to normal

AFM, today is day 5 of round 4 of Clomid, hot flushes started the other day but no mood changes yet which I'm so excited about, woo hoo!

Good luck to all, hope you have a fabulous weekend with your DH's
