Thanks for the welcome. I'm in my 2WW now. So we'll see what happens this cycle. I've ordered the Pre-seed ready for next cycle. I've got nothing to lose. And I'll try anything to avoid my Lap lol.
MezMoz - Good luck with your lap. Have you had one done before?

Tammara - get some chocolate if you don't already and don't give up, I understand it is very emotionally draining but you you just have to keep on going. Fingers crossed for you in the future.

Yet again it has been a while for me on here. I’ve been off work for the past couple of days as I have a rash on my legs, I’m allergic to something in my new garden and I’ve got no idea what, oh fun fun!
Oh Tamarra you poor thing, do try to cheer up love, this stress is not good for you. I’ll be thinking of you on Monday, hopefully IVF is the answer for you, it was for Frustrated remember! Hope you are feeling a little better today after your chocolate pig out. We do understand though, this road is a hard one, I’m confident we will all become stronger because of it. Also, thanks for the info on the ovarian drilling, see…you are able to teach us all something which you wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise.

Hey Jess, so what did they do about your cyst love? Did they remove it?
As for me…well I am enjoying my time off at the moment, I think it was just what I needed. Whilst I was very hesitant to take time away from TTC as I hate wasting time, I do feel that it has really helped, and who knows…I think I actually ovulated this month anyway (that would be the first time ever unassisted) so I should know by late next week.

Thanks everyone, im good today think i just needed to have a melt down and get it all out.
I am looking forward to talking to DR monday about ivf and looking at my options. Im thinking i wont be able to concieve with my own eggs unfortunately because they are just not being stimulated but my incredibly generous cousin said she will donate hers - she has two children and had no probs concieving and is done baby making and im very lucky to have had my sister and sister in law offer too. Sister has PCOS and had trouble concieving so my cousin is the best bet.
So with hearing her generous offer last night makes me feel heaps better.
Hope i get it like frustrated :)

I will def let you know how my lap goes. But I'm hoping I get UTD! I'm going to give it my all next cycle so at least I know we did all we possibly could!
I would love to have some time off! I'm soo exhausted all the time. Work and TTC and all the other stuff like LIFE!

Sorry been so flat out havent even had a chance to come on and read whats happening.
Tammara dont give up, ivf doctors are miracle workers, it is such a long hard process but its all worth it in the end. Been thinking of you.
So i'm just over 11 weeks now, everything is going well, still the occasional nausea and tiredness but over all pretty good. Go for 12 week scan next week, im so scared that something is going to be wrong, im guessing that is normal after trying for so long, we just expect things to go wrong. :( Dh has been counting down the days till we get to see our bubby.. :)
Been thinking of everyone and hoping to come back to some good news. Dont give up coz it will happen, just waiting for the right little bubby for each and everyone of you. :)

Well my 2ww is pretty much over as I started spotting today and had some light cramps, which means AF is on her way with more torturous cramps to come. I'm feeling very emotional and fighting back the tears...I guess you all know this feeling! I've just booked in to see my FS next Thursday to schedule my lap... I've never had one before so I'm a bit scared.
I've been studying Tibetan Buddhist teachings as part of my yoga course and typically today was the day I was learning more about 'attachment' (yes universe, I'm trying to learn!!!). In a nutshell, Buddha teaches that attachment brings suffering because nothing lasts forever, so if you are attached to something it will inevitably bring you pain. This has made me realise how attached I am to having a baby - if I wasn't so attached I wouldn't be an emotional wreck each time AF arrives. But how to let go of this attachment and be at peace with whatever happens in life??? That is the hard part! Anyway, sorry if I'm sounding like a freaked out nut, but all this philosophy stuff is coming at a time when I'm really starting to question how hard I should be 'trying' to conceive. Perhaps it's not meant to be my journey???
Sorry ladies, PMT is obviously getting the better of me at the moment. Time to indulge in chocolate, wine and coffee! At least I can safely have a few champers over xmas and new years.

Hi Porche, yes even tho I am off Clomid for the month I am still exhausted, it must just be the silly season. Good luck for next cycle, fingers crossed its a new years gift.

Oh Mez Moz I'm so sorry to hear that, are you sure your AF is def coming? Could it be implatation? You dont sound like a nutta at all, I like your train of thought, I try to think that myself but it can be hard sometimes.
I'm still waiting, today is day 27 and although there was no Clomid this month I am still hopefull. Have been super tired this past week and also super hungry, but I never can tell :-)

I had bad news over the weekend, my montlies came on Saturday :( i knew it though, but the hope was still hanging on which i tell myself everymonth not to keep em so high but i always do.. they came on my 30th day, like clock work..
Me & hubby are having this month off, which i think we both need, we are both going to my specialist app next Wednesday, i want her advice about Cysts & some other tests that i want to ask her about.
Hey Keli, ill speak to FS & see what she says about Cysts, hows your time off going? its hard to be unhopeful right?
Tamara- its great you have people around who are so willing to help! i really only have my sis i can talk to about all this. Can i ask what would that procedure be? using some one elses egg?

Its been a while! I've just been reading up on all your posts, so much has happened.
I've had a set back, clomid is no longer an option. I have my first appointment with Dr Derek Lok tomorrow at Syd IVF. Has anyone had any experience with him??
I'm pretty nervous about it.
Emily - im in victoria so ive not heard anything sorry. But try not to worry :
And Jess - so sorry to hear your setback. It is just egg donating and it basically the same as normal ivf but my cousin has to have all the needles and meds to get her ready to ovulate. We both have to go on the contraceptive pill but not take the "period" tablets. we need to get in time with each other so my linings are ready when her eggs are removed. It is quite involved actually, her partner has to have bloods done and also they have a councelling session then me and hubby have a session then we all have one together, there is police checks and child checks - like a working with children one.
Ummmm i cant think of anything else really? but if you have questions ask cos i probably know the answer but my brain is just mush at the moment :)
Wow Tamarra it sounds like the ball is really rolling on it then, that’s wonderful. I truly hope that this is your answer and it works first time round for you. Yes please let us know more as you progress with it. How bizarre having to go back on the pill to get pregnant, silly isn’t it?
Hi again Emily, nice to see you back on here again. Can I ask why Clomid is not an option for you, no stress if you don’t want to explain I can totally understand. That seems to be all we ever do…explain to people why we can’t get preggas, well that’s how it feels for me anyway.
Hey Jess, yes my month off has gone pretty well. Think I’m coming to the end of it though. Pretty sure AF will arrive by the weekend, but that’s good new cos then that will mean that I ovulated on my own. Good luck with your month off, it’s a great break, I really feel like I am back to my normal self with Clomid totally out of my system. Oh well here comes crazy Keli again, ha ha!
Hi Keli - Nah its cool. Turns out I'm not the only one with a problem. My hubby has a very low count and its not due to anything we can help. Its genetic.
Had our first appt with ivf specialist today - he was very positive so that was reassuring. We both have to do a series of blood tests and scans. One of the blood tests is going to cost 800 do you believe!! Its to test my husbands genetic makeup. Its amazing the stuff they can do. Go back next year to begin process.
Tammara - Good luck!! I hope it works out for you, you are very lucky that you have such a wonderful cousin.

Thanks for sharing. Wow, has he never been tested before? At least it’s good to know that you can move onto the next step now. OMG $800 for a blood test is crazy. Can I also ask if you have private help insurance?

No he hasnt. Thats the most frustrating thing about it. Last time I was at the ob I asked him - said shouldnt hubby be tested. His response was oh i'm pretty positive your the problem but just to ease your mind i'll give you a referral. So we've been wasting our time on clomid.
I have basic health care. I was on a higher cover previously.
That is disgracful, so frustrating for you. At least you're on the right path now.

How is everyone doing?
I'm just over half way through my 2WW not that I hold much hopes. I've made an appointment with Dr W DeAmbrosis (QFG) for February to consult about possible IVF (lap results permitting anyway) have any of you ladies had him for a Dr before?
It just feels like one set back after another.
No it doesnt cover at all. But I've had a lot of feedback from people saying that they dont actually give much back, majority comes back from medicare. One of the reasons I decided to go on the basic cover.
