It's pretty quiet in here which is a good thing, means hopefully people are doing stuff that will help take their mind off this 2ww.

afm - I've been ok, it always gets harder as time goes on. You wonder just how much time, energy and emotion you're possibly wasting if it's all for nothing, then you push it from your mind get distracted but it creeps back. Had a busy night at work so that certainly stops me from thinking about it. My friend is coming with her twins on Monday, so having talked to DH I suspect that we'll do a HPT on Tue 15th...and even though Fri is 2 weeks, I can't wait over a weekend for a BT result so I'm just going to my GP and getting one done on Thursday, so as to get results on Fri.

I feel the same as my 3 stim cycles. No side effects. I remember clearly last time saying to DH before we got the positive result that 'this could go either way'. .. and I feel that way again. I'm sitting in bed awaiting for pessary to do its thing....but soon I'll have to get up and cook up lamb shanks for dinner and deal with my furbabies too.

AFM been keeping busy this weekend which is a good thing. Going out with friends tonight then movies tomorrow with DH. Really haven't had any symptoms which is ok cause every other cycle I seem to imagine things happening. I did have some mild cramping really low down on the left side yesterday and my breasts are difinately feeling quite heavy I've put that down to all the medication

well girls..if anyone happens to pop in, i need to vent. i had a bad bad night at work. i've woken up with more spots on my nose so look like i feel which is rubbish. feel very low, maybe pmt??
i have this reoccurring situation at work that all the people that i work alongside find difficult to understand and deal with professionally sometimes, inc myself, but i hold a higher position so have to set example. as my name implies i work for an airline. virtually every flight and i am not exaggerating in any way shape or form because often there's more than one per flight, we have a grandmother who is from another country, generally speaks no english who requires assistance as she is taking back to the home country an infant. the scenario is the same and repeated day after day, the parents are students here, they know it's free to have a baby (aren't they the lucky ones - while the rest of us pay through the nose) and then they say (cos we have asked in a friendly way, 'how can you send your little one away???') 'oh it is too much to study and work and look after the baby.'!!!!!!!! some of these little ones are only 8 weeks old!!!!!!!!!! Even those members of staff I work alongside who are also from this country say to us it's terrible and they are being honest not just playing lip service (trust me the discussion about it happening occurs all the time) they say it's not cultural (normally the whole family helps bring them up INC. the parents) or religious.

sooo for someone in my position who is so desperate to carry, hold and raise my own child and trying to find money to pay for all that and getting to that point in the first place...this is soo difficult to watch play out every night.

ok vent over sorry everyone,but the last 24 hours have been the 2ww slapping me in the face.

That really sucks. Who would have a child if they couldn't be bothered raising them in the most critical time of their development? I feel for you, having to be exposed to this, especially considering your circumstances. If I had an 8 week old child, I would have great difficulty letting him/her out of my sight even for a minute. It just doesn't make sense.
At the moment, I am feeling really stupid. I played soccer yesterday. Half my team emailed to say they couldn't play and we would have had to play with 7 (against 15) or forfeit. I had to go to the game because I am manager and captain, and so, when I got there I couldn't help but play. I'm trying to justify to myself that people wouldn't know they were pregnant at this stage and would go out and play soccer anyway and they still manage to have children, but I just feel so guilty. I didn't get hit in the stomach (got hit in the hip once as I turned away), but I have been cramping a bit ever since and there was a very very small bit of very light brown discharge on the pad I was wearing. It was also pretty cold because the game was at 3pm so I don't think my body temp got too high (although I was sweating). I don't know, can you guys tell me honestly what you think? Am I really stupid? I guess I was feeling really negative that I was sure the IVF didn't work and so I thought it wouldn't matter if I played, but now, if I have jeopardised my chances, I won't be able to live with it. BT tomorrow morning, I guess at least something will be revealed.
Sorry I don't really feel up for personals this morning, but I really am thinking of all of you and wishing you the best. Don't be as stupid as me!

Airline - I know and understand how hard this LTTC life is and I am sorry you have to go through something which seems so hurtful and selfish at a time we would all give everything to hold our own child in our arms and never let it go. I can entirely appreciate this must seem really selfish, but if it gives you some comfort, I don't imagine for a second that they don't miss their babies every day, but want to give what they perceive the best start in life to be because they are so far away from their families. I am sure they would swap with us the ability to have their family and home life in the same country in a heartbeat. I am so sorry you have to experience this though as that would hurt.
Minime - don't worry for a second. I know it's soooo hard not to, but you are living your life, which is entirely normal. It takes a lot for us ladies to get pregnant, but in reverse, once you are pregnant, it is relatively hard not to be! Try to relax and thinking of you for tomorrow!

I understand how stressfull all this TTC is, there are so many life situations that seem to crop up all of the time to give us a slap in the face. Some days I found it hard to get out of bed, I had been told not to completely revolve my life around having a baby, but how can anyone say that, if they only knew, how impossible that was. To forget, or to relax.
Girls hang in there, you are all being so strong and doing this with more grace and dignity anyone can ask.

thanks for words of support, that's what makes this forum soo great. My day is was fine, the twins cute of course and my friend didn't ask about my situation at present which was good cos only 2 close friends know about this particular FET.

Minime - thanks for your response...I just needed to vent. I'd literally woken up feeling rubbish, popped in gross pessary and tapped away on the laptop in bed. I think it enabled me to get up and get on with the day. As far as your soccor I think you'll be fine. My FS is very matter of fact. He says think of all the mums who have kids already that they're lifting, carrying, playing with etc. He says it's also very difficult to overheat your body and get the core temp too high. He said I could exercise no problem at all.

Lairdoz - you're right of course I know they want to better themselves which in turn will one day impact their kids, but honestly, I've never seen a tear shed not one, and when I say there are probably on average 7 a week leaving on our airline at Bne airport alone....that's crazy numbers! Airline - I hope you don't see anymore babies tonight without their parents - you deserve a break from that!! I used to think pessaries were OK (I didn't have any side effects apart from the obvious leakage which as you point out is a bit excessive!), but the last cycle and this one they have made me really tired. Last cycle I thought I was pregnant I was so tired, but this time around I know better!

Possums - It would be great to see a natural BFP in here, so I will be thinking of you and hoping this one is the one for you.

AFM - Nothing to report, can't say I have had any cramping (I don't normally) and just been crazy tired which seems to be caused by the pessaries or the fact my body has had enough of all the hormones I have been pumping in month after month.

Airline - I so get this!!! I am really really over them. This afternoon I decided to lie in bed for an hour after taking them, fell asleep and now I have to finish all my marking before I go to bed... grrr.. It just takes so much time out of my day! And I have a cold. When I sneeze, it all comes back out again! Yuk! Not to mention when I stand up I have to rush to the bathroom... which is kind of hard to do as our bathroom is being renovated and the toilet is in the laundry in the backyard... grrr!!!
Hope work is ok for you tonight. I understand the need to vent, I do it ALL the time!! My DH is over me! Thanks also for your kind words.

Hi ladies

Firstly wanted to wish both Minime & Mum2be the best of luck with their blood tests today. Lets hope that the 2 of you get the BFP ball rolling. Minime as everyone lese has said I don't think the soccer game would have made any difference.

Airline I completly understand how you feel when you see little babies without their parents. Somehow it just doesn't seem fair but at least they are trying to keep their kids safe and give them hopefully a better start in life. I know its had to watch when you want a child so much yourself. I too get upset seeing little kids not dressed well or reading articles in the paper about how 2 parents a day bash their children. Just try to hold onto the thoughts of knowing how much you want your child and what you have been through it have it.

Lairdoz hope you have made it through the first week ok and are ready and positive to tackle the countdown.

AFM had a pretty busy weekend and managed not to think about my situation too much. One week down and another to go this is where I normally start to go slightly insane but I have managed to make my weeknights busy so I don't stay home and think apart from tonight DH is home so that's ok. Once again no symptoms to report but hoping that's good cause each other time I've felt things and it hasn't worked.

My hcg is 1160 :leap:

I did HPT last night CD34, which was BFN :cry:
Im gunna take a break from BB and even TTC until we do our next IVF/ICSI cycle, probably in Oct. I know its pretty negative but Im not going to TTC naturally gunna give up and just hope that by not thinking about it we may get a surprise natural pg. Hoping I can do it.

Good luck to all the lovely ladies left in here....today was 12 days after FET and DH and I just did an HPT, BFN. Just numb right now. No tears just feel like been punched in tummy. will get BT done but it's just for procedure.
