LTTTC Two Week Wait 2013 # 3

Hi everyone

I am new to the forum (hope I posted in the right place) and am seeking like minded people to share the trials and tribulations of being long term ttc and an ivf old timer (lol). I have always been a site stalker but this time feel I would benefit from some interactions with others.

This was my 8th cycle of IVF (FET#4). Two embryo's put in today and hoping for a little miracle. Blood test scheduled for the 11th October.

I am on Crinone & Progynova and like everyone else I am just feeling sluggish.

Now to just relax and keep my mind as busy as possible....

Me (37) H (38)
TTC since Feb 2010 (unexplained infertility mild PCOS)
IVF #1 (3 great embryos) 1 inserted BFP (no heartbeat 6 weeks)
IVF #2 FET 1 inserted BFP (no heartbeat 6 weeks)
IVF #3 FET 1 inserted BFN
IVF #4 (2 great embryo's) 1 inserted BFN
IVF #5 FET 1 inserted BFP (no heartbeat 6 weeks)
IVF #6 (3 great embryo's) 2 inserted BFP (no heartbeat 6 weeks) (put the other on ice for a little longer)
IVF #7 (4 great embryo's) 2 inserted BFN
IVF #8 FET 2 inserted??? hoping it's my turn

I'm 3dpo today, got very sore boobies from the puregon I suspect!
Had a scan on Fri saying my endometrial lining was 8.5 1dpo .. is that good?
Just about to start progesterone .. oh joy, I've been looking fwd to all that yukky white cream!
I got a few ripe follies this time but it'll be a miracle if I just get 1 live bubby!
This is second cy on prednisone im hoping it may help with the chemicals , what the hey, grasping at straws!

Hey ladies,

I have no idea if this is the right place to post - but I'm having a minor stress attack.

Falling preg naturally for us would be a miracle - but we DTD on day 15 and then I ovulated on day 17 (I know this thanks to the clear blue ovulation predicator that gives you the smiley face).

My question is - is that 48 hours of DTD 48 hours pre ovulation too long a window to fall pg?

I only ask because I feel like I've had a bit of ovulation or light period pain since then.... Even though it's a week since ovulation and period is still just over a week away (33 day cycle). I'd love a natural pg (even though it would be number 5) - which makes me feel guilty and selfish for even asking the question.

I'm interested in what you all think? I don't want to hope for something that's impossible - even though falling pg naturally would I feel be almost impossible......

Thanks in advance. I guess technically I'm in the TWW, but while I'm holding not much hope I just wanted to know if it was possible. Even though we DTD on day 15 and I got the smiley face on ov test on day 17 - it's probably I didn't ovulate until day 18? either way it would be 48 - 72 hours between DTD and the Effie being released.

Also once the smiley face appears on the ov test - does that mean ov is happening that day or the next? I also tested day 18 and still got a smiley face.... Shame DH wasn't here to DTD on the actual day.

PS - good luck Mrs OM! Sounds like you had a beautiful blastie transferred! You have no reason not to feel positive?

After my 5th (where I had one blastie transferred and ended up with identical twins) I had symptoms from about 2 - 3 days post 5th. Just felt like mild period pain. Aching back, almost mild ovulation pain. But never sore boobies or ms or anything.

I have everything crossed for you....

No eggies to freeze unfortunately. Really bummed as we still had 11 good looking embryos at day 3. Anyway fingers crossed this time works.

Crossing my fingers for you kel that you have some to put away.

3tl- I am never sure with ovulation predictors. But if sperm are ok for up to 5 days and the smiley face is a predictor for ovulation in the next 24 hours, seems like you are in the tww. Good luck

The short answer is no, but it really depends on the couple... A friend of mine just had a baby (in the last 12 hours) that was conceived accidentally because they had sex almost a full week before O...

Wow juniper ... That really happens?!?! Gosh darn it I wish!
I tried doing the "girl diet" method ttc my daughter (9yrs ago) and it said to baby dance 2/3 days before O ... After 8 months of nothing happening doing that I got tired of it and got pg with her on day before and o day.
Gosh I was so spoilt back then even brave enought to try and sway odds for gender!
... if it was "only 8 months ttc" this time!...bloody marathon

Someone else I know actually had the same thing happen recently - BFP from sex a week before O - so that's 2 women I know doing that in under a year... Damn frustrating when we're getting our timing as close to spot on as possible and getting nothing but BFNs. Wish they'd share some of their fertility around...
