Mrs P - thanks for the info. Just a quick question though..........I'm on my period as we speak it is my 3rd day..is it too late for me to start my ivf cycle?my appt is on tuesday.
I wish you a BFP!!!
I also understand about babies everywhere....my godsister just had a baby boy 3 weeks ago and my cousin had a baby girl last week. Is it wrong to feel jealous??? They are much younger than me and were lucky enough to find THE ONE early in their lives. I met my DH late in life and now it just seems like this baby thing is not going to happen for me.........sorry to vent all this negativity....and thanx for listening.
How many follies did you have? how many did you transfer? sorry about all the questions.

Hi TWWaiters,
Hello Dellydoo - I am so very sorry for your loss of Charles. Good luck with this cycle, I understand the feeling of BT being a thousand years away - hoping your wait goes by speedily and ends in a BFP.
Peresphone1 - I know what you mean about 3WW. I feel all I've done for the last four years is wait!! See you in here at the end of the week. Fingers crossed this is the one for you.
MrsP - I'll POAS next Saturday which will be my actual AF due date - so shouldn't be too early. I week to go now so hang in there. I've had two close pregnancies announced - 1 in my last TWW and one in this TWW. I go to pieces, it is hard. Hopefully you'll be announcing your own pregnancy soon.
Emerald Star - I'm 1 week in and BT is 15th June. My first IVF cycle (which was ages ago so apologise if it's a bit vague) was an Down regulation cycle and took seven weeks in total. PM me if you want more information. Your FS will go through your particular protocol as they are all different. I'm sorry but I don't think you will be able to start immediately as you already have AF - you might need to undergo testing or counselling before you can start also. I could be wrong though, your clinic might be different. also I'm hoping the jealousy is normal, if it's not I'm quite possibly evil - sometimes I am so jealous I'm sick and its a real pain inside. Vent away if you need to - helps to get it out.
Sticky Vibes to all the TWWers. xx
-
Ladies - firstly thanks so much for your lovely welcome, am a bit teary reading your responses.
Persephone - I am studying too and this is just such a great procrastination tool, if you need someone to rouse on you to get back to work let me know (I am supposed to be revising right now so maybe I am not the best person)
Mrs P - great breakdown - the Orgalutran is for an antagonist cycle (faster, more expensive and very slightly higher chance of success) at my clinic they usually use synarel which is a thing you sniff morning and night to stop your pituitary gland releasing hormones and literally puts your body into menopause for a while.
Emerald Star - best of luck I hope we can all help you with any questions you have after you see your FS.
Infinity (and everyone) - Jealousy is totally natural - I had a lot of help when I lost Charles and one thing I was surprised by was how angry I was - with the universe, with my body, with my friends who had no trouble falling pregnant, I felt like the thoughts I had were so evil I was going mad. Thankfully not, it's just pain and that's how it manifests itself sometimes, we have suffered and it's hard to understand why others don't.
Much love to all and may the next couple of weeks fly by.
Delly

Hi again,
Thank you all for your welcome.
Dellydoo - yeah, my assignment is due just before the end of the TWW, so hopefully I'll be too distracted to google every symptom. But then, only if I turn off the internet and just focus on the assignment...not working yet.
Emerald Star - what sort of IVF cycle are you going on? I was on a down-reg stim cycle which lasted 8 weeks from Day 1 (AF arriving) to the BT. OPU and ET were in the sixth week. I was on the pill, then synarel, (nasal spray) then daily gonal-f injections, and then triggered with pregnyl. I also had OHSS which was F.U.N. :b
And babies everywhere...it's not so bad at the moment, but there was a point last year when three of my colleagues (in a team of 18) were expecting within 12 weeks of each other, and I knew of another 11 people who were all expecting (I'm not kidding). There was a baby-boom in Melbourne in April last year - and I knew all of them! My most recent annoyance was a woman I know who had Baby #2 one week after EDD, which was 'lucky' because she was 'just too busy' to give birth any earlier. Grrrr. If only getting pregnant was so 'convenient' for everyone else...
And finally - I've been having strange jabs in my left side. Think there's a big egg growing on that side, should expect the Big O in a few days.
Best of luck...

Emerald Star, come and join us in this thread, you will gain heaps of knowledge and meet heaps of lovely gals

I have been watching the thread seeing if anyone I know would pop up in the TWW.
Infinity all the best I hope this is the one for you ;)
Everyone else....hang in there it make take longer than you like but don't give up!
Baby dust to all xx

Had my Day 15 scan a day early cause FS is unavail tomorrow. One good size follie on LHS as I predicted, and lining is good. Still expecting the surge tomorrow or Thurs. Bring on ET4!!!
-
Hello fellow TWWaiters!
Dellydoo -you just summed up how I feel really well, thanks for pointing out that it is just pain. I never really thought of it that way and it should help me so thankyou x. How is your TWW going? anything to report yet?
Persephone1 - I'm studying too. Can't concentrate when TTC & the TWW are sooo much more important. Hope you surged today!
MrsP - :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:. Thinking of you.
Jodz - thanks for the well wishes, hope all is great with you.
AFM - nothing, nada, zip. No sore boobs, no cramping, no nausea, absolutely nothing. Same as usual, still trying to be positive but it's hard when you dont have anything to pin that hope on to. I just wish someone could tell me either way right now yes or no!!!!
-
Infinity - Darling I am driving myself crazy looking for symptoms and it sounds like you are too. I woke up at 3 this morning and kept grabbing my boobs, my pulse (in TCM it should be slippery?!?), every twinge is either a cramp or implantation. I honestly do not know how I am going to get through the next few days!
Persephone - NICE ONE - we love a good lining!
AFM - will be spending the day trying to revise for exams and running to the mirror to see if there are any veins in my boobs - yay for me
delly!
-
Surge! Surge! Surge!
Did the LH surge poas this morning, jumped in the shower while it cooked. DH came in & said "only one line." I got out of the shower, looked at it and there are two strong lines! Remind me not to get DH to check the HPTs!
So I'm surging!!! About the only time I get to see two lines on a stick, so I'm excited! FET on Saturday! Woohoo!
TWW here I come!
-
Hi girls,
Am without internet at home so will have to make this quick at work!
Emerald star - I'm not sure if it would be too late to start for you this cycle. Fingers crossed though! I had aroun 6 dominant follies and got 5 eggs, 3 fertilised normally and two made it to blastocyst. So I have one on board and one in the freezer!
infinity - I am the same as you. No real symptoms, going crazy, feeling negative. Blah.
Dellydoo - get back to studying! Hee hee.
AFM - yep, going nuts still. My clinic rang yesterday to check on how I was going, which was nice of them. I'm taking Monday (test day) off work and have booked in a facial which should be lovely and hopefully distracting!!
-
Hi girls
went and saw FS yesterday and i have to wait this month out and start next month!!!
we will try naturally this month and hope we won't need IVF...thats just wishful thinking.
all of you on the 2ww - good luck and BFP to you all.

Emerald Star - I really hope that's the case for you honey! Either way you will be in the TWW soon enough.
Mrs P - I AM...but these boobs won't check themselves!
Persephone - Woohoo - Keep your clearly blind hubby away from sticks in future.
AFM - just trying to think about something else...right am going to wash my hair
hugs

Who is AFM?
Okay, you're gonna think I'm a loser, but I have spent weeks on here wondering who AFM was. Yeah, I actually thought AFM was someone's online persona. That AFM chick is popular! She's on every thread!
Delly, you make me laugh. I spend my tww prodding my bbs until they hurt and then convince myself that it's because I must be pregnant. How are those veins?
Emerald Star - I hope you're not too disappointed with having to wait another month, but I always tell myself that it's another month to enjoy a wine or two...and gives me another month to try and ween mysellf off caffeine. Make sure you take some to care for yourself while you still can!
Good luck on the TWW. I've got my fingers crossed for everyone...and can't wait to join you (actually, I can't wait for it to be over! I think the TWW should be a certified temporary psychiatric illness).
AFM (As For Me!!!) - A few twinges, enjoying knowing that this time is my laaaaasssssttt ovulation for 9+months!!!!
Seph
-
Persephone - you are hilarious - I would never have admitted that in a million years you are so brave!
And it's a great idea that the TWW is a confirmed break from sanity - anything you do during it, speeding, touching yourself inappropriately, spending an inordinate amount of time staring at the gusset of your undies, looking for veins, pretending you know what you are looking for when feeling your pulse, eating anything you want and hoping to God you don't have to exercise it all off because it's for the baby (maybe that one is just me).
Hugs to all of us wearing our crazy pants

Hi Girls,
I love reading all your posts, I think having a sense of humour is so important in the 2WW. I hope to join you here next month.
Just popped in to wish everyone waiting to test lovely BFPs this month!
:pink-babydust: and :stickyvibesboy: to you all.
Beata.
-
Hi Ladies,
I too love popping in to read the posts and see how everyone is etting along. The last couple of posts have definitely made me smile..... plus I agree the TWW should be a certified temporary psychiatric illness! It really is a crazy hopeless time, saying that I can't wait till I can join you here again soon.
Anyway, just thought I wish you all well and throw a little more :bluedust: and :stickyvibesgirl:around. x
-
Hello
Persephone - it took me ages to figure out who AFM was too:redface: now i think I'm really cool and use it all the time. Good luck for FET on saturday - hope it goes smoothly.
Dellydoo - pmsl!!! I am so wearing my crazy pants right now. I'm a boob checker too but it's not about the veins for me - its nipple colour. I'm obsessed with the colour of my nipples in the TWW - so glad no-one has caught me checking them yet. I'm hanging out for darker nipples!!!
AFM - (hehe Persephone) getting closer to POAS day and don't think i really want to - at least for now I can pretend there is a possibility of a BFP - not sure if i want that taken away just yet..... No real symptoms, some progesterone pessary related (i think) nausea & cramping. temp was 37.3 this morning - that's high - maybe I'm sick?
Sticky vibes to all TWW girls. Can't wait to hear some BFP's soon. x
-
Thanks infinity - I will be looking at colour change now too - I am not going to get a freaking thing done today. And temp elevation is a good thing! Maybe your NOT sick.
Seph - Bring on the FET
AFM - I have managed to avoid BB all day am trying to study but as I sit typing I keep 'accidentally' pushing on my boobs to see if they are bigger (they're not) but they are tender. Ooh and my hair is shiny!
hugs
Delly
-
You girls are hilarious.
I've decided I'm gonna POAS tomorrow! Eeeeeeek!
Ok, but if it's neg, I'm not gonna freak out as it maaaaay still be too early, and if it's pos, I'm not going to be convinced. So, why am I doing it? Because non-IVFers don't have to wait for a BT and they get to POAS, so I am TOO! Ha ha.
Wish me luck ladies!!
-
Mrs P - best of luck for your POAS today - did you do it yet? ? I have everything crossed for you today x I even have a chant for you - it rhymes too as a bonus - here it is:
"MRS P B-F-P, Mrs P B-F-P" includes 3 hand claps on the BFP part too!
-
Infinity - thanks for my chant ha ha. I love it.
Ok, so I did it. And............ there was a SECOND LINE! Eek! Of course since I'm super-not-experienced with POAS, after the first 30 secs when the control line came up so fast I was like Oh, it's negative. Then I went to feed my cats and came back into the bathroom - and the second line was there! The test said to read at 3 mins and that was about 3 mins. Line wasn't as dark as the control, but test says it doesn't need to match.
DH doesn't want to get too excited yet, neither do I really.
So I'm 9 days post-transfer. Would the pregnyl be out of my system? I have 2 tests left so will try again tomorrow and hoping it will be darker....
You still going to POAS tomorrow?? Good luck!!!!!
-
Mrs P - when did you have your last show of pregnyl????? I am toe tapping in anticipation????????
-
Infinity - marvelous chant - incidentally I am going to a meditation and chanting thing tonight so I know that while I am supposed to be praising the moon or something I will be singing your chant instead...I am sure the universe will get the joke.
Hugs
Delly
-
I only had the one shot of pregnyl the night before my transfer - so 10 days ago.... just been on the progesterone cream since then...
-
Well honey....it takes 7 days for pregnyl to leave your system (I am assuming your dose was 1500 because that's what they come in) so.....as progesterone has no impact on hcg levels I am thinking it's good news honey.
Keeping everything crossed honey - when are you supposed to test??
-
good luck ladies!! hoping to see more BFPs soon
-
Mrs P - That sounds REALLY promising! :crossfingers:
Good luck to everyone else in here.
Lots of :stickyvibesgirl:
Tania :D
-
Technically Sunday should be BT day but clinic isn't open so it's Monday.
Man this waiting thing is so HARD! Thanks for all the good luck wishes!!
-
:bluedust::stickyvibesgirl::pink-babydust: cheering you all on to your bfps.
good luck girls you can do it
-
Hi all
Mind if I join you guys?
I'm currently in my tww after my 5th IUI. It was the first one with injectables, so I'm  that it'll work this time.
Good luck to all of you still in the tww. Mrs.P I hope you get a darker line tomorrow morning!
-
Guess what?! Only one more sleep and I get to officially join the TWW. Woohoo! DH and I did the BD last night, just to give ourselves the best chance.
Mrs P! Good luck, that is really positive ('scuse the pun). :crossfingers: And I know what you mean about poas - I think I'm going to buy three extra tests when I get a BFP, just so that I can see those two lines!
Infinity - not long now! Can't believe you've held out on the poas for so long. Good luck for Monday! Bring on the BFPs!
Delly - If shiny hair has anything to do with pregnancy, Pantene should change their marketing! I am so changing my shampoo tomorrow! Get back to the study!
AFM (ha!) tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow! This is the most positive I've felt about a FET so far, and that's partly because of the fun I'm having on Bellybelly. Now, I have to go and dig out my crazy pants and put them on.
And a question for you - if I get a BFP in a fortnight, do I get to keep wearing the pants? Or do I have to swap them for the vomit pants and booby shirt?
-
Oh, and welcome Gogga! Good luck for your TWW! Where are you at? When do you test?
And, have you put on the crazy pants yet?
-
Mrs P!!! Second line is great news. Hope that it keeps getting darker. A tentative 'congratulations!' - the pregnyl should have been out of your system when you POAS. I think you've done it!
gogga - Hi and welcome. How far into your TWW are you? Hoping it goes quickly and ends in a BFP.
Dellydoo - I've added you to the chant - it's now "MrsP - BFP, Dellydoo - and one for you" Hope you're getting lots of symptom checking done :)
Persephone - Best of luck for your transfer today. Hoping you get to change into vomit pants with a booby top in two weeks time - sounds like a fab outfit.
AFM - I've changed out of my crazy pants and into my 'cr*pping myself' pants - didn't want to ruin the crazies... I am too scared to POAS, I don't think I'm UTD and will be a real mess if I see a BFN. I saved my wee from this morning (i know ewww TMI) but just can't do it. I really need to do it today so I have time to pull myself together to go out tomorrow night - and don't want to wait for BT because I don't want to hear BFN from the Nurse. Will wait for DH to get up and see what he thinks. Will bbl and let you know if i could do it or not.
-
MrsP, I hope Monday's test confirms that +hpt! :goodluck:
dellydoo, my pregnyl trigger was 10,000iu so it doesn't only come as 1500iu. My booster shots have been 1500iu but you can get 500iu as well.
-
Hi All
Thanks Juniper - I have only ever seen the 1500 - how DARE they keep things from me!
Gogga - welcome sweetheart may your stay be non stressful and successful (ooh rhymey!)
Infinity - don't mess up the crazy pants - good on you for changing them...you saved your wee???? And now your scared of it - That's hilarious! I am imagining this close up shot of a cup of wee with scary music in the background. Have you done it yet - do you want me to hold your virtual hand as you do it?? And thanks for adding me to the chant - I love it.
Seph - how did the transfer go? I actually think we then graduate to crazier pants...something with tassles
Mrs P - Anything more to share???
AFM - went shopping today and spent money I don't have on things I don't need and hope to grow out of anyway. Am trying to study - I really am...really I mean...it's such a lovely day and everything...
hugs
Delly

Lucky Legs 11
I'm dying to know what happened to Infinity's cold pee. I hope you're doing okay and have some good news to share.
AFM - so, I think I'm psychic. I'm brushing my teeth this morning, and out of the blue this thought pops into my head - that they've had to thaw two embies because one didn't survive the thaw. I then thought 'don't be stupid, how would you know that? And besides, even if they did have to thaw two embies, we'll still have ten in the freezer.'
So we go down to RWH and whilst DH is parking the car FS takes me in to the little room. And he says "We've had to thaw two embryos today, as one of them didn't survive the thaw. But not to worry, you have ten left after today."
Ummm...okay...sure. And of course, I'm a little sad about that little embryo, falling asleep shivering in the cold all on its own. But I'm also a little freaked out about my apparent psychic abilities. Do you reckon I have some sort of psychic connection with my embies?
Anyway, Lucky Legs 11 was transferred this morning. Ten frosties left - that's a good number, right, but that's where they're staying for now, because Legs 11 is gonna be a keeper.
FET went fine - FS listened to me when I told him that the speculum (sp?) needed to be the medium kind, and it was smooth and straight-forward. Little Legs 11 was 6 cells at transfer time. Is that good? I've never bothered to ask.
I spoke with the Nurse afterwards and she said a few things that none of the others have said - besides 'don't eat soft cheese' she also said:
- don't have hot showers or hot spas (wha? Does she live in Melbourne? It's frickin 5 degrees outside!)
- don't have intercourse for at least a week (because having intercourse is the last thing you want to do when you're trying to get UTD) and
- no heavy lifting.
Does anyone else find these things a bit weird? I'm not going to find a hot spa anytime soon, but I like my hot showers (as opposed to luke warm or cold). And intercourse? Well, the chance would be a fine thing as TTC has ruined any romance in our lives.
And finally, I get a day's grace on the TWW - my BT will be on Friday 26 June, because the Clinic will be closed on the Saturday. Woohooo for me! I feel like I've cheated on exam!
Can't wait to see some BFPs in here soon. Keep us updated, and :crossfingers:
-
The no heavy lifting I understand but my FS tells us to DTD as soon as possible after the transfer (I tell her we will at least wait until we get to the car). The hot spa - yep also fine - but nothing about hot showers - does this person like you??? That just sounds mean especially seeing as you are in Mel - OMG I can't feel my extremities-bourne.
You said 6 cell - what day was your embie at?
Of course you have a connection there our snow bubbies - I have a picture of mine on the fridge and I have a magnet on it that says - When I count my blessings I count you twice - oops that won't mean twins will it??????
Hugs and so glad it went well honey welcome to the official TWW!
Delly
-
Day 2 Embie transferred. Is 6 cell good?
-
Yep - by day 2 they are usually 4 cells so six means you have a fast mover on your hands - nice one seph!
