LTTTC Two Week Wait - April - June 09

Hi girls - have been out all day so only just got online.

Infinity - I hope you are doing ok hunny - did you end up testing?

Persephone1 - GL with your 2ww!!

Gogga - welcome and GL with your 2ww too!

Dellydoo - keep up with that studying hunny! I also shopped today and bought a cute work top that will totally fit a pg belly hee hee.

AFM - well, I think I should have held off on the POAS too like Infinity. I really only did it so that I would be prepared for Monday's result phone call. Today I was barely awake (been waking at 4am with the nerves/excitement and not getting back to sleep) and actually found it hard to hold the stick in the stream, PMSL. So I don't think it was 'wet' for the required 5 seconds, esp as the control line took a lot longer to come up than yesterday and it wasn't as dark.
Anyway, the second line was still there, but not quite as dark as yesterday. Also, not able to help myself, I decided to buy a stick-in-a-cup version at the shops and just did that one (I know, it's 4.30pm...) and it was a super-faint positive.

So now I'm thinking either a) it's pregnyl still leaving my system after 10-11 days (1500 shot) or b) I was pg but it's gone or c) I am pg.

ARGH! Why did I do this to myself? Because I couldn't stand the suspense I guess.

Also I'm still getting random twinges and cramps in my ovaries, and a little bit in the general 'womb' area - doesn't exactly feel like AF coming but doesn't feel great either. I know I'm still recovering from EPU but that was 2 weeks ago yesterday.

So, to sum up this monologue - I have NO freaking idea what's happening and am fully wearing the CRAZY pants. Thank god I took Monday off work. Thanks girls for helping me through this!!! xo

That sucks honey the TWW is just awful because it messes with us so much - I so hope it's great news on Monday sweetheart and am shaking my fist at the universe on your behalf. AFM - I was talking to my DP and saying that I thought I was doing well this time - and he looked at me (wearing full body armour, hiding behind the couch and waving a white flag) that the second week is when I usually go totally bats! Great!

Hi everybody. I'm brand new to this site and was happy to find a bunch girls, also stuggling to survive the 2ww. I'm actually almost coming to the end of mine. I test on Tuesday 16th June. I had a FET of 2/3day embies. I don't know which end of the 2ww i like the least? At least the first half i can dream. The second half is just down right scary. I have had AF type pains for at least a week. Certain that it will come at any minute. Cramping has been my only sign so far, more painfull that my av period crams but i'm also on Prog Supp's? Anyone got a test date coming up? would love to hear from you. Good luck to you all out there,

Welcome Wavegirl! Sweetheart twinges are natural and can be the result of your little embie bedding down in your endometrium for nine months. We have a few testing soon so hoping you are letting us know about a big BFP on Tuesday.

Mrs P - I can fully sympathise with the HPT insanity - I once 'saved' my last HPT for 14DPO, only to get no result at all - no control, no BFP. I then had no pee left and had to wait until the following day to test again. And my problem with the HPTs is that if it's a BFN, I over-analyse and wonder whether it's REALLY a BFP, and just too early to test. I hope it is a BFP for you chook, good luck. Are you testing tomorrow?

Delly - I know what your DH means :redface: I go increasingly mad in the second week. My DH helpfully suggests that I 'just stop worrying about it,' which is such useful advice IF ONLY HE KNEW WHAT IT WAS LIKE. I've suggested that he mind his own business :p

I'm cracking up reading this thread. At least people can keep a sense of humor, lol.
Wish i had have discovered this place two weeks ago. Just googled something re 2ww. Of course i should have realised there would be many of thousands of girls out there, doing their heads in just as i am now. It's funny how some people experiencing no symptoms, worry for the lack of symptoms. When the moment you experience syptoms, you worry also. Can't win really. Whoever said relax (well, everyone says relax), but really.
I'm trying to edit my details but i suck at computer navigation.
I am 32 and this will be my second attempt at ivf with FET, After maybe three years of ttc. I have a large fibroid - docs not overly concerned about this. I also have some scaring that has completely blocked one of my fallopian tubes, and mostly blocked the other. I was told that ivf would probably be our only hope of concieving. Today is day 14 post ovulation for me. Today last cycle i actually got my period before the test (today!). Just a wee bit on edge, lol. It's great to have other people to track and think about besides myself. Thinking of you all xo

Wavegirl, my test day is Tuesday too. I hope you get the right result.

Hi all, I so have been awoiding this tread as trying so very hard to chill out during this TWW. But I have now officially put on my very large crazy pants. Like infinity my final BT is on monday so as impaitent as we all are I POAS today. Got a second line yeah, but still thinking it is the pregnyl from my last boost shot last monday. Oh who the hell am I kidding i am planning my maternity leave and that after that i will take my long service leave and all the great things i will do with DS now that I wont be working and I must go and enroll him in 3 year old kindy now that he wont need to go to day care anymore. See what I mean very large crazy pants, HUGE. Well off to have pizza for dinner will update you in the morning with POAS number 2.

Saph! I've been planning my Maternity Leave for three years now, and saved up all my Rec Leave to the point where I haven't had a proper holiday for ages! I haven't been on for awhile as my computer had come down with a virus...all fixed now and back to my threads..i was starting to get withdrawal symptoms......not having access to read whats happening with you guys is worse than the 2ww!

AFM - I have to wait till AF shows up around 2nd July to start my first cycle. My FS has put me on the Antagonist Cycle and we are doing ICSI with 2 embies transferred. Lets hope we get at least two beauties:pray:
Just wondering if anyone else has had any success with my protocol? I would love to hear from anyone who can lift my spirits......i am excited about IVF #1 but at the same time i am worried about not getting enough follicles and good eggs because of my age.

Meanwhile i did an OPK and i am ovulating so DH and I are going to do some serious BDing in the next few days and hopefully we will get our miracle...

AFM POAS #2 update, I cant make up my mind if it is still the same or if it is slightly lighter. Yesterdays has gotten darker because it is drying out. So I think it is the same as yesterday. Gees this makes you nuts.

Oh Infinity - Darling I so hope you are wrong I am so sorry.
Emerald Star - My last cycle was antagonist and while I did not get pg we got 3 great blasties and I am carrying the 2nd one now. I found it easier as synarel gives me a rotten headache.
Saph - best of luck honey fingers crossed for tomorrow - I have a good feeling!
Gogga - Honey honestly none of us know how we get through two weeks of craziness but we do with the hope of a bubba at the end.
AFM - well I have just been ironing for an hour and a half - how's that for procrastination?!?

hey girls. am new to this place. as we are in our 2nd cycle thought it might be nice to let it all out this time, as i dont think i handled the bad news well last time and this might help.

we picked up a frozen blasty yesterday and will have bloods on 25th June. So, the wait begins. Cycle is pretty regular and i would be due on the 22nd, so i figure will probably have a little sign before the 25th anyway. Did last time.

last time had a hcg reading so it had started to work but then something went wrong. so of course i convinced myself it was something i did.....so, thinking positive thoughts this time and trying to do all the right things, no coffee, alcohol etc..........

will keep you posted.

Thanks Saph and Dellydoo - but I know it is definately BFN, AF only hasn't arrived as prog pessaries keep it away for me - as soon as I stop these its here within 24 hours. My AF was due yesterday, I've used a very sensitive POAS so there would be a line if I was UTD. I have no doubt.

Infinity - my heart breaks for you sweetheart, I am just so sorry.:comfort:

Infinity hun - looks like we're in the same boat. POAS today and was BFN. Twice. So yeah, pretty damn sure I'm out too. Can't believe I got a +ve on Fri and Sat and now -ve.

I really got my hopes up too - had been so good throughout the 2ww and then those damn +ves, when I thought the pregnyl was out of my system (10/11 days prev), just gave me that glimmer of hope.

Am completely devastated today. Spent an hour sobbing on the couch. Trying to snap myself out of it. Just glad I don't have to go to work tomorrow and I can just get the BT done and know for sure.

I really hate this. I honestly don't know how many stim cycles I can put myself through.

Infinity, I'm so sorry for you. I've been thinking about you all day and hope you are doing okay.

JayeJaye - Welcome, and all the best for your TWW. I've had three ETs before my fourth yesterday, and the last one we had was a high prog reading, so something had started to happen before it failed. I was devastated - so close, and yet so far. It was that week that I joined BB, and have been so grateful for the support.

Mrs P, I'm sorry about your BFN. Pregnyl really screws with your mind, I'm sorry you've had to go through that.

AFM - Had a lovely day in the sunshine with my camera up at Montsalvat, and even managed to forget about yesterday's FET for a few moments. If only the rest of the TWW would be so relaxing. I know I've been feeling really positive about this FET, but I'm also really afraid that I'm TOO positive, and that if it's a BFN the come-down from that is going to be really tough. There's no winning with this thing.

Hey Juniper. I too had a 3dt of 2 embies, same day as you. Was yours fresh or frozen cycle? You might have already said? I'l have to look at your storey page. Mine was frozen. Wow, our little guys might have been thawing out together. Or waiting in a lab dish for us at the same time. Isn't that sweet? Tehe. Only two more sleeps. xoxo
This is the closest i have come as last time AF came well before test date. This time im on pregnyl for luteal phase suppot. 2 x inj's at 4 and 8 days post transfer. So not only can i not test, but i have nothing to compare this cycle to. AArg!!

To the girls who have just had negative tests, i'm so very sorry. Don't give up all hope though as my friend didn't test positive til day 18 after o. That was with a test that claimed to be very sensitive and test before a period was due, and she only got the lightest of light positives. Her doc confirmed with Blood Test. You just never know for sure? As torturous as it may be. xo

I think I have truely sent myself insane. I have convinced myself that it is a sure thing tomorrow that if I get a BFN I am going to be completely devestated. I keep checking my BB yep still sore, poking at my ovaries that is ovary pain and not AF cramping yep. I dont think I can even make the phone call tomorrow. Do you think they will give DH the results? See completely nuts. Hopefully I can sleep tonight. Sorry for the rambling.

saph204, I know someone who always had them ring her DH with the results so she wasn't upset at work so you might be lucky. All you can do is ask. GL :goodluck:

wavegirl, this was a fresh cycle for me because we didn't have any to freeze last time. I did 2 pregnyl shots last time and AF still tried to start at 11dpo (day of 2nd booster shot). This time we did 3 booster shots (6dpo, 8dpo & 12dpo) and we're doing 3 crinone/day. So far so good - no spotting. That's a step forward at least...

Hi all thanks for the positive thoughts. Well about to get dressed and go for BT absolutely packing it. Did another POAS this morning. The second line is still there I think slightly lighter but definantly not darker. This is worse than knowing it is a BFN. Also feel a bit crampy so think maybe pregnyl shot is hanging around and stopping AF from arriving. ARRRRRGH

Juniper that sounds great. I know all to well what it's like to have a period that won't be stopped by meds. I always have spotting issues too. Do you know if having the pregnyl shots affects the results of the D day test? I'm having horrible thoughts of them telling me that i'm pregnant, then taking it back co's they realise that i'm on the pregnyl shots. Crazy i maybe, but this is crazy business. Cheers. xo

wavegirl, if you did a 1500iu pregnyl shot when you said it should be gone before test day. I did my second one at 11dpo last time (same as 8 days after 3dt) and my blood test was negative 6 days later.

Wavegirl - with my old clinic I had 4x1500 boost shots and If I remember right BT was 5 days after and mine were always negative. POAS four days after had a little left, five days almost gone only after the 10 mins could you see it, 6 days passed completely gone on POAS and negative blood test.

I? just locked DS and I out so we had a lovely play for an hour in the garden. DH just came home and let us in and he is coming back at 2.30 to ring for results. I dont think I can do it. scared stiff that this could be it.

Saph - I have been checking and checking - am so excited for you and sending demands to the universe that you get your wish.
Wavegirl - don't think like that - they don't get you to test until it is well and truly out of your system (well done on the crazy thoughts though...nice one!)

AFM - rotten headache and just had a 2 hour nap as I was EXHAUSTED after my exam - am hoping its a good sign but am freaking out as boobs were super tender yesterday and only a bit tender today.
Another thing - I have decided to extend my TWW because I have 2 big exams on Friday and Saturday and I think I will be a mess if it's a BFN so I will end up with no baby and a fail...wail, wail and more wail- how on earth am I going to get through 5 more sleeps???

My TWW just ended. i never posted about it because it all started off so horribly this time and I just knew it was a fizzer. Was a frozen and a sad story behind it.
