afm: well i am still going crazy and i feel like af is for sure coming. it has been almost 1 week since tfer (mon) and af would be due on fri the 5th.
not supposed to test until tue 9th. i'll kill someone before then.:angry:

i just feel so pre menstral it's not funny. anyway if i dont get af on fri i'll prob test over the weekend. i'll try to hang out as long as possible.

Hi everyone - would just like to introduce myself - this my first time IVF, and from what people tell me its gone well so far. I am currently day 13 and due to have a blood test on day 16 (Wednesday), if not successful I have 4 frozen embryos to try. I hope this one sticks (my odds are around 33% as I'm sure everyone is aware of the odds!!). Anyhow I hope everyone is having a good and positive day.

Bee, Kahlan, Lulu, Bel, BeiBei, Lissie, JBM, Future Mum, Osacar thanks to all of you for the laughs (and a small amount of stir-craziness) over the last 2 weeks or so and even further back than that in the normal threads. I don't quite know what I would have done if it wasn't for you. My mum, dad, brothers, best friends - none of them know about the BFP yet. I knew that this was something I could share with all of you and you would truely understand. I already know most everyone else will be a bit like 'oh well, yeah, you're pregnant now, you're not the first woman to ever get pregnant'. Not in a bad way - just in a not really understanding way - all the emotions and fears and disappointments that can be involved in LTTTC. I don't think my husband even truely understands.

Thank you all very much for your support. Every one of you is a special, wonderful, kind, giving, unique woman and I will pray with every thing I have that you will each have your wish fulfilled.

JBM - if it helps any, I was pretty sure AF was on her way too. Moody (really snappy with DH), tired, cramps, the lot. I'm glad I stayed away from the POAS in the end. It wouldhave killed me to get a neg and then have to wait for the offical results - the same as it would have killed me to get a pos and then find out it was a neg offically. But we're all different in what we can handle and what we can't. We'll be here either way.

Is it ok if I hang around and chat until you guys have got your results?

This is my first cycle and thus my first TWW. I'm getting really anxious :pray: and I have more than a week to go (ET was on 27 Aug and BT is on 10 Sept). I am trying to "read" any symptoms however all the symptoms that I have that could mean being pregnant are exactly the same symptoms I have when AF is on the way - so it seems rather pointless to try to guess :wall:.
Also, our wedding anniversary in on 9 Sept and I'm wondering if I should ask to move up the BT. A BFP would be a great anniversary gift and a BFN would allow me to have a drink (or more). Is there much difference between a day when it comes to the BT? Is Melbourne IVF flexible when it comes to scheduling the blood test - or is this a question for my FS? Am I being ridiculous? :doh:
Also, I was in a bookstore yesterday had to stop myself from buying "what to expect when you're expecting" etc. - I really wanted to be excited and buy it ...but I do not want to look at the books at home if my BT comes back BFN.
Lastly, we only had 3 embryos and they transferred 2 back in, 1 is frozen. Does anyone know whether, if it's BFN, they'd be willing to try another cycle with only 1 frozen or would I have to go through the entire flare cycle again?

JBM and Bee hang in there, it's so hard isn't it? Massages are great though I have booked in for a facial and acupuncture as well. It's all good in taking up time and headspace as well!

AFM - today was the first day I woke up feeling really tired and sore BB but I am convinced its just the crinone providing such lovely side effects. I am also acting like a total scatterbrain, keep forgetting really dumb things and finding it hard to concentrate. Also have the biggest sweet tooth which I normally don't, so all the extra sugar prob not helping the concentration either! Am away the next 3 days for work so will pop back in on Thurs - will be less than a week to go to BT

Aleenta - I changed my blood test to the 9th, I decided to get it done on our wedding anniversary (good news will be the best present and bad news will allow me to have some champagne) . The only downside that was pointed out to me is that this increases the chances of falling into an inconclusive range and thus requiring a 2nd BT. What's another needle at this point!

I also did something stupid - I took a POAS test last night (is that the right abbreviation for a home preg test?) and my transfer was only on the 27th - so it came back negative and I got really upset. Today I did some googling and learned that I did it way too early (I hope!).

My hpt's are still coming back positive and I had my beta yesterday {which was inconclusive at hcg 14} .....

I guess as a general rule, one should stay away from HPT - although I have read of people doing them on the morning of their BT to get a sneak preview of the news they will receive later. I promised myself that I won't buy any more - I have 1 left and will try not to use it between now & Tuesday.

it is difficult to stay away from the hpts that's for sure ......

Yeah, the drugs really effecting me too .... I am a wreck but trying to put on a brave face for my boys :)

You are way too early for a hpt to be accurate, so dont worry about the neg. I tested on hpt day of beta test to prepare myself if the news was going to be bad, so guess I kind of set myself up for disappointment by trusting the positive test {3 tests mind you haha} HPTs are obviously picking up smaller amounts of hcg than they advertise {I thought they were only picking up 25 units but my level was 14}

Anyway, try to take it easy and be kind to yourself. I really have my fingers crossed for you that you will be getting THE best anniversary gift x Lis

To all the girls doing HPT, try to be strong and resist the temptation to test before your dates thats what im trying to do. I dont know whats happening but i figure i will know soon enough.

JBM- Dont be too dispondent sweetie some girls get what they call "implantation" bleeding which can appear as a light period for a couple of days usually 1-5 days after the embryo was put back but can be longer lets hope thats the case for you!

To the rest of you hope your not going too crazy in here.

AFM: Feel like me, BB a bit sore, really tired, bit snappy but who knows i'll leave it in gods hands and pray he knows what hes doin!

thanks everyone for you support. i hope it is implantation bleed bub i know it isn't. it has been 9 days since froz tfer and was 3 day tfer. my bubsicle didn't take i am sure. i did another test today and BFN again. i am actually due on fri for af. still bleeding today. not heavy yet but it usually starts on day 3 of af.
i don't know what to do next.

i am hoping for some BFP in here as i am back off to lttc group

Had a successful FET today...thankgoodness our lil one thawed OK....it was a 3 hour drive to the transfer and then home, and I had acupuncture when we got back this afternoon, so relaxed now and hoping this is our turn for a BFP.

Im utterly exhausted, have even been teary (which is so not like me) ima 14dpo and still no AF so i have absolutely everything crossed. I am howevver going slightly insane!! I am terrified it will be BFN and dont know what we will do next as money as drying up,

I can't believe I have another 10 long nights to wait!

I haven't been good at staying away from HPTs - and they have all been negative (yes, all as in more than 2!) - I'm hoping it's because I used them too early...this is my first cycle and I can't figure out when I should get a result. The good news is that I have none left and won't be buying any more! my BT is on Tuesday (13th day after my ET which was a 2 day transfer..pick up on a Monday, ET on Wed), so I'll have to wait until then.
I can't tell my DH about the HPT because he thinks I'm nuts about this and wants me to relax.

Buliej...good luck...it's hard to resist doing the HPTs I know....I've done my share in the past too....I'll probably do one this time round too, a bit closer to my BT...but they are so often not accurate, or you do them too early etc. Hope you get a BFP!

as for me...well, it will be a one week wait from tomorrow. First few days have been OK, although I know very soon I will start trying to interpret every twinge in my body and look for signs!
It's hard to be relaxed during this time, even though I know that's the aim!

Thanks Possums - but I got AF last night - I could feel it coming during the day as well.

I'm not sure what is next for me. I only have 1 frozen and I'm reluctant to move forward with just one (which may not make it anyway) as I'll be 42 in Dec and if we want 2 kids, I feel like we should have some frozen bubs in reserve. I know they don't like to do back-to-back cycles and I'll be overseas for most of Oct...I have a call in to my doctor to see what's next

buliej, I am so sorry it hasnt worked for you this time. :hug: Take care of yourself, and then work on a plan for what to do next...it helps to have something to move forward to and I am sure your FS will have some advice. i hope you are doing OK.

Hi Girls,

I have been away travelling with work, it was good for taking my mind off things. But unfortunately the weekend brought bad news for me - AF started with a vengeance on Friday night after 2 days of spotting. I wasn't worried about the spotting but the flow has been twice as intense as it normally is and so early - normally I have long cycles. So my BT is Wednesday but I know I am over and out for this cycle. It's so hard not to be disappointed. Everyone around me is pg except me Arggh!! And because I had a stim cycle I will have to rest this coming month.
So bulij and jbm - sorry yours didn't work out this cycle either. Let's hope the next one is ours!!! I have four frosties so am hoping one of them will stick around sometime.
I will probably disappear off here for a little while I lick my wounds and try to think about other things.

Well my wait is finally over and the results are in and i'm very happy to say it's a BFP!!!! All the praying looks like its paid off as my hcg was nearly 500.

To everyone who found this wasnt there month i send my love and to those still waiting keep yourself busy and the time will fly sending baby dust to all:pink-babydust:
