Bee- HOORAY- wonderful news! i am so happy for you :clap: I pray you have a healthy, smooth pregnancy.
Hopefully I will join you soon
Bee - Awesome news. i'm so happy for you.
X
Congratulations Bee - it was nice to hear good news.
I had my blood test today and it came back a 4. I know I'm not pregnant - I have full-on AF at the moment! This matters because my FS agreed that I could start a 2nd Flare cycle immediately, but she won't do it unless my BT drops (I'm being re-tested tomorrow). I know she knows best - but why would my BT come back as a 4 (on day 13 post ET) ... what does this mean?
Also, assuming it drops and she lets me start the cycle, I will have missed 3 doses of Synarel and 1 gonal f injection...
Buliej...I am not an expert, but one reason could be that you were pregnant for a short time (ie your embryo implanted and kept growing for a while), and your body started producing the pregnancy hormone, and then your embryo stopped growing and you had a very early miscarriage. In those cases it can take a while for the hormone levels to go right back to zero. I know some of the other ladies here have had very low levels at their BT and been told that means the pregnancy is not viable, but it is classed as a miscarriage, or in some cases a missed miscarriage (if they have not started bleeding).
I am sure it is very frustrating for you when you want to move forward. I guess your FS wants to be sure all is right before you move on. Like I said, I'm not an expert on these things though.
As for your concerns about the doses of synarel etc, I honestly don't think it matters if you start sniffing a bit later into your period. I know when I was on the stim cycle, I actually started sniffing toward the end of my period (as my clinic has a set day they like you to start, and that happened to be towards the end of my period from memory). If you are worried though, ask your FS about that...perhaps ring her today to set your mind at ease. It's a bit different at different clinics it seems.
Good luck, let us know how you get on. I know it's stressful going through all this
Thanks Possums...yes, I'm just very stressed about this all. My FS is not in today (she's ill) but I hope to speak to her tomorrow. Everything you said makes perfect sense - I'll try to be patient - definitely not one of my strong points.
I hope things are a bit clearer for you tomorrow then. Patience is not one of my strong points either! But sadly we need so much of it on this rollercoaster...that and faith and hope and lots of inner strength.
Congrat's Bee that is fantastic news - wishing you all the best
Morning all you TWW'ers
Hoing you have an easy, stress free day.
Wishing for you all that you are one sleep closer to your BFP.

Hello all,
Am a day early but thought I would pop in anyway and say 'hi'. We had our 2nd OPU yesterday, with transfer tomorrow...:crossfingers: that we get some embies to transfer...so I'm just at home waiting for the phone call to confirm transfer time and that we actually have embies to transfer...
:2ww: Good luck to everyone and hope to be joining you 'proper' tomorrow.
:hug:to those who have not got there BFP this cycle.
Wishing everyone :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:

OK ladies, I need you to keep me in line. I have some HPTs at home from last time and I am getting very tempted to use one soon! I know I should wait for the BT. I am starting to go a bit crazy I think in this last week. I keep looking for signs ...I'm even feeling my breasts to see if they are getting tender! (goodness knows how that looks to anyone who might see me).
I just want to know what's happening in there!!..please lil one, just be getting nice and comfy
welcome farmgirl....good luck! I hope you have success this go
Possums - try to wait (although I didn't)...but if you do use the HPT, you have to tell yourself that it's not a definitive test - don't get too disappointed if it is a BFN. I've done some more reading (I don't get much done at work these days), and it seems like HPTs really shouldn't be used until the day or 2 before your BT anyway...meaning if you were cycling naturally and thought you may be pregnant, you'd be testing no earlier than a couple days before your expected AF, which should end up being around the time of your BT. Oh - and I studied my breasts too - looking for veins and darker nipples - I was a complete nut.
BTW, it seems like I did have a chemical pregnancy - but I had another BT today and my number was 2 which was low enough to start a new cycle today...so I'm back on the nasal spray and gonalF. I also learned that their concern wasn't that I could have been preg with a 4 but that it could have been ectopic and if it had gone up that worry would have increased.
Just thought I'd pop in and say Hi... I had a day 3 embryo transferred today, first ivf cycle.
Best of luck to everyone else in the tww. Look forward to passing the time with you all!
buliej- good news- I'm pleased to hear you can move on with a new cycle now and glad you didn't have an ectopic worry on top of things!
kaydee--welcome...glad your transfer went well..May a BFP be just around the corner for you!
afm- still going a bit crazy- staring at my breasts, prodding them, looking for signs. I have my HPT on the bathroom bench....I don't think I'll be able to hold off much longer!:wall:
Hi all,
I just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone in the tww at the moment.
I am on my first IVF cycle at the moment, with EPU yesterday and ET tomorrow. I just found out that out of 9 eggs retrieved, we've had 5 fertilise, so I'm happy with that.
My BT is 26/9, so 2 weeks and counting.
Good luck and :stickyvibesboy: to everyone in the tww. I look forward to passing the time with you all.

xx
Hi Everyone
Just had my ET today and am now in the 2WW and counting down to my BT on the 25/Sept :2ww:
Possums - You made me laugh about your breasts! I do exactly the same, and I'm sure I will once I am a week into the wait. I am usually good the first week and start to go crazy the 2nd!
Looks like there will be a few of us testing on the 25th and 26th, so we should have any interesting 2 weeks. Good luck everyone
:stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy: :pink-babydust: :bluedust:
welcome Luckystrike! Glad your ET went well. and glad to know I am not the only crazy woman around here
alloy- good luck for your ET tomorrow
JUST SENDING SOME STICKY DUST TO ALL IN TWW !!
congrats to you too Bee.
we want more BFP's in here
Alloy - Good luck for your ET tomorrow. 5 eggs fertilsing is a very good result. I had 4 collected, 2 fertlised and only 1 left on day of transfer! I guess I should feel lucky that there was 1 waiting for me!
Luckystrike- I am so pleased you had one to transfer.
When I had my EPU we got 10 eggs, only three fertilised and I was worried...then two made it to Day 5. It's pretty stressful waiting and watching how they go, when you don't have many, so I am glad to see you in here.
JBM- thanks for the well wishes. Hope you are going OK.
hello all again,
well i now have two little embies on board and 4 on the way to the freezer...just hope that our BFP comes from some of these
Possums - the last time I was in the tww I think I felt my breasts sooooo much that they started to hurt from my prodding rather than any sign of pg - poor boobs! hang in there, not long to go...
Luckystrike - our BT are on the same day! good luck and lets hope that it is a double BFP!
Alloy - that is a great result for embies. hope that your transfer goes well and that you are resting up after the OPU- good luck
buliej - sorry to hear about your BFN, but glad that you are able to move onto a new cycle - hang in there
Kaydee - welcome to the madness of the tww. good luck
To anyone that i've missed, wishing you all lots of :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:.

Hi everyone
Farmgirl - 2 embies, wow congrats. I'm sure you will get your BFP this month. Yes and lets hope its a double BFP for you and me!
Possums - thanks for sharing your story. Its devastating when you think there may be a chance that nothing will be left for you to transfer. I'm glad you are feeling positive this month and hope you get a BFP on Tuesday.
I too feel a "little" positive and very nervous and just pray that my only embie was the lucky one and it will bring me my baby soon.
Still have 13 days to go though, so who knows how I will start to feel towards the end.
I took crinone last night. What a loveley experience that was  Is everyone taking this? Does anyone take anything different in the 2WW or is that all? I guess every clinic might do it slightly different but I'm with MIVF and that is all I was told to do.
LuckyStrike - I'm with MIVF too and I took crinone every night. I do wonder if different clinics vary the protocol but as I've only gone through 1 full cycle with 1 clinic (MIVF) I don't have any info on this. I'm in the middle of my 2nd cycle with them, and so far the protocol is the same except that my gonalF was increased. or to be more specific, in the middle of my first cycle after my scan, my FS increased the amount of gonalF and it is this increased amount that she started me on this time.
Luckystrike - I too am with MIVF and have used the crinone cream - belive me it gets alot worse before it gets better - sorry, but it does. I think that following most kinds of medicated cycles, progesteron support is required post transfer, but I'm not sure what the other options are. When doing a FET, I have used differet progesterone pessieries that were wax like cones (little) that were much nicer to use - however they only seem to use them for FET rather than fresh transfers - not sure why but they just do.
Good luck
FG
Hi Gals, just a quick one from me. I didn't use anything post transfer - I'm with Sydney IVF. All I had were 2 additional shots (1500) of pregnyl during the TWW.
They did a BT on the day of my transfer and I'm assuming they decided based on the results that I didn't need any suppliments? They did have Crinone listed on the 'things you should do' list they have me on the day of the transfer, but the check box next to it was left blank for me.
Hope you are all staying sane in the TWW.
farmgirl- two on board- congrats! and here's hoping...i am glad I am not the only one to prod away at my boobs all the time!
luckystrike- I am glad you are feeling positive...it does drive you a bit crazy waiting and wondering doesn't it! I hope that your one little survivor is THE one- luckily for me I am drug free at the moment as I had a natural FET this time. It is much nicer. I used the pessaries last time (like Nixon I am with Sydney IVF, but my hormone levels were quite high, so I didnt get the two injections but the pessaries...)
afm- just back from more acupuncture....my acupuncturist said my energy levels seem good this time around and he was happy with how I am going. it was nice and relaxing too.... am still anxiously looking for signs all the time. four more sleeps....
every now and then i feel a twinge and panic its an early AF cramp...then it subsides. I think I am just so alert to every little thing my body does right now. Anyway  our little one is tucked in nice and comfy by now
thanks for all being here and helping through the TWW and this whole rollercoaster in general :grouphug:
Alloy, great to chat to you again! A few of us iui-ers have ended up very close together on our 1st ivf cycles. Best of luck for you. Did you transfer 1 or 2 embies?
Luckystrike, I too am using Crinone - twice a day, morning and night.. awful goopy stuff. I'm also on Progesterone pessaries, a cone shaped form of progesterone that you need to lie down for half hour to "melt" the waxy outside to allow the progesterone out from inside the cone. These are twice a day too. I spot early each month (about a week before AF is due) and they think it may be because of my progesterone levels are too low... hoping all this extra support does the trick to allow my lining to stay intact to allow a little one to stick in there!
Farmgirl, Congrats on your 2 embies. Hope there'll be some positive news from this thread in a couple of weeks.
Possums, I really enjoy acupuncture sessions too.. so relaxing. for good news soon!
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
Hi all
Farm Girl: :crossfingers: your 2 on board hang around for a long time.
I'm with Ballarat IVF and during my first IVF cycle was using Crinone twice a day during my TWW.
When my FET transfer happens I'll be on twice daily Crinone & Progynova tablets as well during the TWW to get the progesterone levels up. If we get a BFP I will have to contine with the Crinone & Progynova for a further 10 weeks until the placenta kicks in. Can you imagine having Crinone for 12 weeks solid, 2 weeks of yuck seems more than enough but I suppose you gotta do what you gotta do.
Happy weekend everyone. Hope you find some time to relax in the middle of all this. :) I'll be trying to!
Kelly and Kaydee- thanks for the support...
Possums - hope you have a great weekend & are able to relax. My fingers are crossed for you.
Thanks for all the responses girls, it sounds like each clinic does it slightly differently, and then sometimes that varies from person to person.
Kaydee - Wow you have to wait 1/2 and hr to have the cone melt. I am sure we'll laugh at all this one day when we look back and have our babies in our hands.
buliej - my gonal-f was increased twice as I wasnt respondong very well. I guess I'll probably be started on the highest dose next time if I go thru another stim cycle, but hopefully I wont have to :)
Enjoy your weekend everyone hope to get a few BFPs next week!
Kaydee, it's great that a few of us have moved on together, hopefully we will share in BFP's in 2 loong weeks :) I had one embie transferred today. My clinic does one embie for a fresh cycle, and one for a frozen cycle before they look at transferring 2.
Farmgirl, best of luck hun! I hope your 2 embies snuggle in for a 9 month stay. I've been a silent bb member for a while now, and I've read quite a few of your posts. I really do wish you the happiness you deserve
Luckystrike, I have to have my first crinone tonight. I got the cream at my transfer appointment today, and wasn't too impressed reading the pamphlet on the way home. "Very Common Side Effects : feelings of severe sadness, and unworthiness, decreased sexual drive, sleepiness, feeling emotional" Great, just what we need! Hopefully we'll be fine and won't feel too crappy while using it. I'm going to do mine just before bed, so hopefully by the time I wake up it won't feel so gross.
Possums, I'm glad your acupuncture went well. Hopefully the next 4 days go fast for you!! :crossfingers:
:stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: to anyone I've missed
AFM, I'm resting up tonight after my transfer today. I plan to stay on the couch until I'm back to work next Tuesday. Been to Video Ezy this morning, so I'm set with a few DVD's that I haven't seen yet.
Have a lovely weekend everyone
just sending everyone some sticky vibes. good luck all in TWW.
Hi TWW ladies! Hope you are all having a good weekend and not feeling too stressed or crazy.
I'm trying to keep busy but am officially a bit crazy and trying to interpret every single thing my body does. 3 more sleeps. I'm nervous now. for a BFP.
Allow- resting up with DVDs sounds great. Glad your ET went well and I hope the wait goes quickly for you with a great result at the end.
JBM and Buliej , thanks for the thoughts. Hope you are both doing OK.
Time for a new thread folks.
It can be found here.
