OK ladies, I need you to keep me in line. I have some HPTs at home from last time and I am getting very tempted to use one soon! I know I should wait for the BT. I am starting to go a bit crazy I think in this last week. I keep looking for signs ...I'm even feeling my breasts to see if they are getting tender! (goodness knows how that looks to anyone who might see me).
I just want to know what's happening in there!!..please lil one, just be getting nice and comfy

welcome farmgirl....good luck! I hope you have success this go

Possums - try to wait (although I didn't)...but if you do use the HPT, you have to tell yourself that it's not a definitive test - don't get too disappointed if it is a BFN. I've done some more reading (I don't get much done at work these days), and it seems like HPTs really shouldn't be used until the day or 2 before your BT anyway...meaning if you were cycling naturally and thought you may be pregnant, you'd be testing no earlier than a couple days before your expected AF, which should end up being around the time of your BT. Oh - and I studied my breasts too - looking for veins and darker nipples - I was a complete nut.

BTW, it seems like I did have a chemical pregnancy - but I had another BT today and my number was 2 which was low enough to start a new cycle today...so I'm back on the nasal spray and gonalF. I also learned that their concern wasn't that I could have been preg with a 4 but that it could have been ectopic and if it had gone up that worry would have increased.

buliej- good news- I'm pleased to hear you can move on with a new cycle now and glad you didn't have an ectopic worry on top of things!

kaydee--welcome...glad your transfer went well..May a BFP be just around the corner for you!

afm- still going a bit crazy- staring at my breasts, prodding them, looking for signs. I have my HPT on the bathroom bench....I don't think I'll be able to hold off much longer!

    Hi all,

I just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone in the tww at the moment.
I am on my first IVF cycle at the moment, with EPU yesterday and ET tomorrow. I just found out that out of 9 eggs retrieved, we've had 5 fertilise, so I'm happy with that.
My BT is 26/9, so 2 weeks and counting.

Good luck and to everyone in the tww. I look forward to passing the time with you all.

    Hi Everyone

Just had my ET today and am now in the 2WW and counting down to my BT on the 25/Sept

Possums - You made me laugh about your breasts! I do exactly the same, and I'm sure I will once I am a week into the wait. I am usually good the first week and start to go crazy the 2nd!

Looks like there will be a few of us testing on the 25th and 26th, so we should have any interesting 2 weeks. Good luck everyone

Alloy - Good luck for your ET tomorrow. 5 eggs fertilsing is a very good result. I had 4 collected, 2 fertlised and only 1 left on day of transfer! I guess I should feel lucky that there was 1 waiting for me!

Luckystrike- I am so pleased you had one to transfer.
When I had my EPU we got 10 eggs, only three fertilised and I was worried...then two made it to Day 5. It's pretty stressful waiting and watching how they go, when you don't have many, so I am glad to see you in here.

JBM- thanks for the well wishes. Hope you are going OK.

    hello all again,
well i now have two little embies on board and 4 on the way to the freezer...just hope that our BFP comes from some of these

Possums - the last time I was in the tww I think I felt my breasts sooooo much that they started to hurt from my prodding rather than any sign of pg - poor boobs! hang in there, not long to go...

Luckystrike - our BT are on the same day! good luck and lets hope that it is a double BFP!

Alloy - that is a great result for embies. hope that your transfer goes well and that you are resting up after the OPU- good luck

buliej - sorry to hear about your BFN, but glad that you are able to move onto a new cycle - hang in there

Kaydee - welcome to the madness of the tww. good luck

To anyone that i've missed, wishing you all lots of .

    Hi everyone

Farmgirl - 2 embies, wow congrats. I'm sure you will get your BFP this month. Yes and lets hope its a double BFP for you and me!

Possums - thanks for sharing your story. Its devastating when you think there may be a chance that nothing will be left for you to transfer. I'm glad you are feeling positive this month and hope you get a BFP on Tuesday.

I too feel a "little" positive and very nervous and just pray that my only embie was the lucky one and it will bring me my baby soon.
Still have 13 days to go though, so who knows how I will start to feel towards the end.

I took crinone last night. What a loveley experience that was Is everyone taking this? Does anyone take anything different in the 2WW or is that all? I guess every clinic might do it slightly different but I'm with MIVF and that is all I was told to do.

LuckyStrike - I'm with MIVF too and I took crinone every night. I do wonder if different clinics vary the protocol but as I've only gone through 1 full cycle with 1 clinic (MIVF) I don't have any info on this. I'm in the middle of my 2nd cycle with them, and so far the protocol is the same except that my gonalF was increased. or to be more specific, in the middle of my first cycle after my scan, my FS increased the amount of gonalF and it is this increased amount that she started me on this time.

Luckystrike - I too am with MIVF and have used the crinone cream - belive me it gets alot worse before it gets better - sorry, but it does. I think that following most kinds of medicated cycles, progesteron support is required post transfer, but I'm not sure what the other options are. When doing a FET, I have used differet progesterone pessieries that were wax like cones (little) that were much nicer to use - however they only seem to use them for FET rather than fresh transfers - not sure why but they just do.

    Good luck

Hi Gals, just a quick one from me. I didn't use anything post transfer - I'm with Sydney IVF. All I had were 2 additional shots (1500) of pregnyl during the TWW.

They did a BT on the day of my transfer and I'm assuming they decided based on the results that I didn't need any suppliments? They did have Crinone listed on the 'things you should do' list they have me on the day of the transfer, but the check box next to it was left blank for me.

Hope you are all staying sane in the TWW.
