Murph- good luck with trying naturally...sorry you couldn't fit in that FET...and that was good advice to everyone..christmas is a hard time when long term TTC
Mel- oh that's exciting...my nurse also suggested I try and be patient and wait for a 7 week scan ( I wanted to go earlier just to check it's not ectopic, but she said sometimes too early you cant see anything anyway).. and yes, by my reckoning I am currently 13DPO..hurry up first scans! we can be belly buddies :D
21andttc- sorry I am not sure on that...but wish you luck
-
Possums - :happyforyou: congrats on the BFP - what a wonderful result after everything that you have been through. Wishing you all the best.
FG
-
dellydoo - I'm on 1 crinone daily (yuck!) and 3 x 2mg of progynova.
21 - sorry I can't help with your question - seems very complicated! all the best... : )
murph - I know the half-hoping kinda cycle... who knows maybe you will have a Christmas miracle...
-
I had a half-hoping, hardly bothered to track my cycle, expected nothing type of cycle...apparently a BFP can happen in those cycles!
-
Just a quickie today.
Possums- Congratulations on your natural miracle!!! Makes you believe in the magic of christmas doesn't it?!
Wow so many words of wisdom, Murphy they ring so true. I'll be joining you end of Jan beginning Feb to try again. Look forward to getting our BFP together.
21 -I'm no expert but i think it would be too early to know anything for sure at 2dpo. Try to enjoy christmas and i hope you get your BFP as a new years present.
Ruth08 - What a wonderful present that would be. I know crinone and pregnyl can give false positives but not sure what other meds can. Maybe ask your FS.
Well i wish you all a wonderful christmas. Will catch up with you all in the new year.
-
CONGRATULATIONS POSSUMS! :happyforyou: Thats such great news.
See it just proves that Christmas miracles DO happen!!!!!
Take care of yourself and look forward to hearing how your scan goes.
I wont be back online at this stage until after the New Year.
Want to wish everyone a WONDERFUL Christmas especially for those girls who are PG and my fingers and toes are crossed for all those still waiting in here.
To everyone else, who like myself are patiently awaiting the New Year to commence cycles etc, all the best. Am thinking of you :D
Take care,
Tania x
-
Thanks Tania and ibb!
I too wish everyone a wonderful Christmas...and really hope more BFPs happen in here very soon.
-
Possums - Congratulations on your BFP, I am so happy for you!!:dance:
What an amazing Christmas present. I am so excited for you honey :happyforyou:
Mells77 - Thanks hon hope your preganancy is coming along nicely, you have an awesome Christmas present. Take care of yourself.
Murph01 - I took your advice and had a Nanna nap today, I feel so much better for having it :D I have my :crossfingers: for a miracle for you for Christmas.
MissMagpie - Hi I hope you're well. You have a lovely Christmas and look after yourself.
Good luck everyone else I have missed in the 2WW.
AFM - I thought I was the only 1 going crazy in the 2WW. Well DH wanted me to go buy a kit to do a POAS test last night and I said no cause its too early. I actually didn't want to do a POAS as my BT is on Sat 27th but he is so excited to know he can't wait. So we went and bought a kit and will be testing tomorrow hopefully. I had my EPU on the 9th of Dec and had 2 Blasties transferred, is tomorrow ok to test? Can anyone help this is my first IVF stim cycle. I don't want to test to early, I'm kinda scared to test but DH really wants to know :wall:
-
Jen
Hmmm to Poas or not -there have been a couple of ladies recently who poas days before their BT only to receive a bfn, then went on to have a bfp on the bt, so the only advice I would give so close to christmas, is to be aware that if you only see one line, it's really heartbreaking, but it could be incorrect. I am a poas addict, and next time I will be waiting for the BT - they can be very unreliable, but they can be wonderful when 2 lines appear, which quite possibly could show if your hcg is high enough.
Good Luck which ever way you go tommorow morning
-
hmmmm... for me too about the POAS. i tell myslef everytime that i won't do it next time. it never gives me any comfort...
i have had two positive POAS situations and one of them turned out to be my daughter back in 2004. when i did it then i was only trying naturally and i did it when i was 1 day late.
this year and last year i did the POAS days before i should have and they all, except for one said BFN. that one that was positive turned out to be a chemical pregnancy and the shock was terrible as i did the POAS test 3 days before the BT. i had all the symptoms of being pregnant and was told my HCG was too low for a viable pregnancy.
so my advice is...if you can, hold out until the BT.
if you get a positive it can be false and if you get a negetive you may tell yourself it is wrong because you have all the symptoms.
anyway, goodluck with your wait for the next few days.
i am certainly very envious that you have a wait even though i know how hard it is. my aF is always early so i have only ever got to the BT once!!!
take care...hope this helps.
-
I caved!!!! And now I'm suffering POASer's remorse...
I've done one Lullaby conceptions test and one confirm early detection test. Both had very faint 2nd lines. I'm now 13 DPO, having had blastie put back in 5 DPO on 16/12/08 (Have I got my days right?). I'm scared that this isn't going to be a positive, in fact, it's bringing back memories of our first little miracle bub, (also very faint lines which we lost at 5 weeks 1 day).
According to google, the crinone doesn't affect HPTs (Ibb - where did you find out that it does?)
Oh how I wish I'd listened to kittykat's advice and waited for proper testing date!
So now, being completely out of HPTs, I have to delve into the Christmas madness and buy some more!
Jen - my advice would be "don't test" - I'd rather be in hopeful waiting that this anxious uncertainity of a faint BFP.
-
Ruth Honey
pee sticks pick up Hcg levels and crinone is progesterone so will not have any impact. It is simply too early to test. your body produces hcg when you are pregnant and it will get stronger and stronger but right now it would only be very faint as you are only a very little bit pg if you are.
Wait it out and try to put this test out of your mind. I POAS last week and got the faintest positive and I was devastated but realistically we have to wait.
Sorry darling I know how tough it is
A
-
Ruth- ah...the POAS do drive you mad...i caved every time...and when I was pregnant last time, and had the faint faint lines at about 11dpo...I then wondered what that meant, and would it be a chemical pregnancy and come to nothing etc...but at the same time, I think i would be a little hopeful if I was you....there is obviously some hcg in your body...so something has happened in there!..hopefully you will see the lines get darker (I know you will keep testing ;) ..i always do..I still am even now, just to confirm the lines are darker!)
jen- same advice goes to you...I POAS about 4 days before my blood test during my FET and got faint positives....but then you might still worry ..and also,it could be early, and you could get one line, and then you will also worry...I guess you just need to be prepared....I know, given my past experience and behaviour, I would probably cave and test
-
hi girls!
ruth - I POAS'd on a Friday (my BT was scheduled for Tuesday) and I got a BFP, so maybe it isn't too early! praying for your Xmas miracle!
Jen - good luck to you too! Hope you're doing ok.
Mels xx
-
OMG So excited!!! did a HPT yesterday (well did two...) hoping for news on Christmas day and got 2 x very strong BFP's!!! Did another today and just as dark..!!!:):clap:
I finished Crinone Tuesday.. does ANYONE know at all if this can give a false positive??
I am really hoping it doesn't... My (.)(.) are sore, large and starting to get very vieny so I'm praying its all a good sign! (I had my emby transfer 14 days ago)..
What do you all think???
-
Peanut - I am not sure ... I know Pregnyl gives false + - good luck it all sounds very promising
AFM: I am joinging you ladies in the tww rollercoaster, a natural cycle, not really expecting any great news, but you never know your luck
Hi to everyone ...
-
Ladies thank you for all your advice on the POAS topic. DH really wanted me to do it so I did. Well the first one on Wed came up with a faint 2nd line. I was so excited as this has never happened to me in 13 years but I didn't want to get my hopes up. So I POAS again the next day and it was a bit darker DH was beside himself but I was not getting too excited yet.
Today I went for my BT and I got a BFP! I am stunned and humbled and I didn't think that a miracle would ever happen to me but it did. I prayed and prayed. Girls if it can happen to me I know it can happen to you I'm praying for you all.
Now I will probably worry for the next 7.5 months but I am continuing to pray I am ever so grateful and happy.
Don't give up girls dreams do come true now I want to see a whole lot of BFPs in 2009!
Xoxo

Everyone else, hope you have had a nice break over Christmas and are looking forward to a year of wonderful surprises too.
-
Hi ladies,
Congrats Jen on your result! Woo hoo!
As for me - I did wrap up a test with a second line (this time darker!) for DH as a Christmas present with a little poem. He was completely suprised by it and of course over the moon. We aren't calling it 100% official until Tuesday which is our designated "testing day" according to the F.S. but it's looking good... :)
Take care everyone,
Ruth
-
OMG Ruth!!! I'm tempted to write "congratulations", but I'll hold off until you are sure. I'm really happy for you and I'll wait out the next two days in tense anticipation. I don't know enough to tell whether it's safe to assume the best. Some of the other girls here are real veterans and they will jump up and down and tell you to get excited. Me...well I've never had so much as two lines on a ovulation test  so I wouldn't have a clue. I will just hope like crazy that you're UTD and celebrate when you are.
Now go back to bed...what were you doing up at 5.44 (other than peeing!):p
-
Ruth and Jen I am crying with happiness. I am so very happy for you both. Well I POASed and it is VERY faint. I will try again later but it is not looking good I think it is the Hcg leaving my body.
Well done to you both and I shall keep you posted and am certainly still hopeful but have to be realistic.
Love to you all
Adele

I had a big fright today I had 2 drops of brown spotting sorry tmi but it completely freaked me out. I felt like crying but we were visiting relo's at the time I had to keep it together. I pray everything is ok.

Jen- congratulations!!!! it made me smile to read your wonderful news..... we can try and not be too anxious together.... I know what you mean..you can hardly believe it's happened, then you hardly dare to believe everything will turn out OK....all I can say is try and enjoy it as much as you can (ok, easier said than done, and I'm not great at practicing what I preach  ...but it's something to aim for :D)
Ruth- what a wonderful christmas gift...the most precious! I am so so happy for you!
dellydoo- I have everything crossed for you!
just a quick note on brown spotting...I have been experiencing it ever since my BFP...it stopped yesterday, after 5 days during which I have been beside myself with worry...it's been really light...only there when I wipe (sorry TMI!)..but still...have my follow up BT tomorrow and I  all is OK...am nervous...I do know that brown spotting can be OK.
-
OMG what a delight to log in this morning and see more good news!
Ruth - CONGRATS! That is fabulous news. Bring on the BT with high numbers!!
Jen - I agree with Possums, try not to worry about the brown spotting. I've had the same thing. Congrats again!!
Delly - Fingers crossed that line gets darker!
Wouldlove and Shan - good luck in your TWWs!
Mels xx
-
Hi everyone...just wanted to say my HCG levels were on track today d progesterone also good...so the brown spotting seems to have been just a bit of old blood coming away

Peanut, Ruth, Jen, Mels, Possums - you all give me so much hope. my HPT was so faint it could be an evap so am so scared I am out. I have had a BT today and am still waiting for results - my FS said to text her at 4 which I did and still nothing. Am sure it is bad news.
Best of luck to everyone else!
Adele

Peanut baby, I was wondering if you were still checking in and I was going to write lastnight. You've been keeping so quiet like a little mother hen sitting on a baby peanut! Congratulations...what an amazing surprise:o You just floated in and out again like Butterfly to give the rest of us hope that it can be so easy:pray:
Dellydoo, what an agonising wait. I hope you get the result you want before the end of the day. I'm thinking you and have everything crossed. Hang in there.
21, patience comes with age honey, just try to see the bigger picture and you will get through this awful time. Goodluck with the rest of your wait.
Shan, welcome! You will quickly discover that the wait in here isn't all about you (like all the self-obsession of the drugs and IVF), it's about everyone together wishing the best for each other and sharing misery and happiness. I hope you find it easier in here than on your own counting down the days.
Possums, great news...wishing you all the best.
-
Hi all
Well BT says VERY weak positive of 24. FS Not hopeful and I am absolutely gutted I now have to wait another 3 days to find out for sure and even then it is so weak.
Best of luck to everyone else.
Adele

No words Adele..just:pink-babydust::pink-babydust: and :hug:.
-
oh Adele I hope your positive sticks!!
It was a long road for us and I really can't believe it till I see the bub on our first scan.
Try and stay really positive and I truly hope 2009 brings all that you wish for!:pray:
-
Delly doo - I'm thinking of you - I hope that the 3 days till your next BT fly by and that you get a great result! :bluedust:
As for me, We have a :bfp:!!! Having already tested on Christmas day, I gave the POAS test to DH with a poem for Christmas, which was obviously the best present ever. But we were waiting for today to really really believe that it's a BFP for us. Praise God for answering our prayers.
This morning at 5am, we both got up to do the "official" POAS test that the clinic gave us (they don't do blood tests). So our little frostie (last one from the freezer) has become a BFP for us. Today I am 4 weeks and 5 days! Woo hoo!
Thanks for all your support and kind words ladies, it's really made a huge difference to my TWW!
