Hi All
AF arrived this morning so am out again. Devastated as so wanted to be pregnant by Charles' due date but I guess I have to look at this as the universe deciding I must deal with my grief properly before moving on.
All the best to everyone else awaiting results and those who have already had great news.
Adele
Oh adele, :comfort: I was really hoping that this would be your month. Take care of yourself sweetheart.
Thanks to everyone else for your best wishes!
Peanut - congrats on your BFP - that is soooo awesome!
Ruth
Adele, so sorry it wasn't to be your turn ...big hugs , Emma xx
ruth: yeah!, i am so excited for you
I'm really sorry Adele, so disappointing.. :(
Firstly congrats to all the lucky ladies who recieved those BFP's. I am so happy for you.
I myself am gutted.... poas on Sunday arvo and got a really faint 2nd line. Went to see FS on monday and had bt but HCG only 4- so FS said that is me out for the month as it would just be the last of hcg trigger leaving my body
Bring on January and hopefully some better luck next month
Shan
good morning girls!!!
wow im sooo glad its now 2009 i feel soooo good about it! i finish my degree this year and will be getting married next year! also we will be starting ivf this year, 10 more sleeps until the clinic opens and i can make the 1st FS appointment YAY!!!! ive waited almost a month just to make the appointment! I would also like to say congrats to all the BFP's and my sympathy's to all the BFN's, I feel i will be in the BFN category in 3 days time. :( my nipples are a little sensitive and breasts are heavy and sore when bouncy which is what ALWAYS happens before AF. I have resisted testing and have vowed not to this year until AF is late if ever!!! also just a question does LH go up when pregnant also? as i havent POAS using a preg test but i did this morning with one of my fertility monitor sticks and it is detecting high estrogen and high LH equal to ovulation time and its now CD25 and its been going up is this normal before AF?

peanutbaby- i think i missed your bfp earlier...soo happy for you! and now we are belly buddies...like you, i am still feeling a bit detached until my first scan..like i cant believe/trust its really happening
21andttc- not sure on your questions...but wishing you luck
Hey everyone and happy new year! I am so glad to have that monkey off our backs and now we have that full year ahead of us to go easy and take the pressure down.
Adele, I was really hoping for you but so sorry to see it wasn't to be this time. You have a strong and positive outlook so I'm hoping that will get you through until you are okay to make new plans. You've been through more than I can imagine so take it easy on yourself.
21&ttc,good on you for getting in there with all the questions, sorry, I'm no help but wish you the best and look forward to seeing you in the thread after your FS schedules you.
AFM, arrrghhh! I'm doing the half-hoping/fully hoping, trying not to hold any hope at all but wishing the days would pass while trying to hang onto my sanity.!! So as you know i'm on a natural cycle, there's a greater chance that a pig will fly past my window and here I am on CD33 knowing full well it won't happen...oh but could it....? I'm a clockwork precision day 30 day girl, but I'm sure O day was late this month so I should expect late AF too. don't you just hate this bit? So dumb, I have no symptoms of AF, which I always have and nothing to indicate pg either. I'm allowing myself to have some real hope if I get to day 35 and no AF. I've never gone past 34 days in a cycle. sorry for the rant...been holding out and journal writing but still needed to share. I don't even know why i care so much right now, I guess i just dont really want to go back to IVF knowing its the only hope.
Murph - have you POAS?
Murph- oh boy , it really does do your head in doesnt it! I have everything crossed for you! I know I would crack and have to POAS
Hi guys,
I've been away for a couple of weeks following yet another BFN in early December.
Can you please help me?
I'm tired of just being put on the ivf conveyerbelt so I have made an appointment to see my FS in order to ask questions and check if there is anything else they can test on to help determine if we are missing any unresolved issues.
When I first started on IVF in 2004, the only tests I can remember them doing is a blood test on me and a sperm check for my husband. I have unexplained fertility - but surely there has to be a reason so I want to go armed with questions/possibilities? I just want to know if I can actually have them? You can't move onto adoption in Australia without first giving up on fertility treatments and I'm not quite ready to give up just yet.
Can you tell me what other tests you have done and any outcomes/changes in treatment?
Thanks in advance.
Currently in a 2ww on a natural cycle - but not holding out much hope.
possums - thanks also i dont know if i have congratulated u yet! but congrats! u give me so much hope! also have u heard from Bel, you know the one with the twins she hasnt been on for a long time and im worried about her! if u see her in the Preg after LTTTC please tell her i am thinking of her!
Murph- wow im really hoping for u! i know how u feel i havent tested with a preg test yet and im on CD25 and that is unusual for me! i will be waiting until im past the latest ive ever been which is 32 days. good luck to you and let us know how it goes!
TLO - hi there! and i dont think u should give up yet at all! i cant believe they didnt test u further, im a student RN specialising in fertility and there are MANY more u need and even your husband should have, for example u should get a laproscope and a monitored cycle to see if u ovulate naturally, that is unless that has been established you should get a BT on CD 10 or 11 to test for hormone levels, DH should also get his hormone levels tested, My DP did about 2 months ago, Also i know its a yucky one but u should both get tested for All STD's as u just never know and it rules that one out! there are also BT's for blood clotting factors which can prevent implatation and also you should check for rubella imunity, thats important too, there are many other more complicated ones but thats that basic ones for when u get started with IVF, i have my 1st FS this year and I will be gettin all of these, also DP should get another semen analysis done as it can vary widely from month to month! I hope this helps, the book "fertility for dummies" is quite good it outlines all the basic tests in there and what to ask the FS. GOOD LUCK!!!
AFM- im experiencing sharp pains in lower left uterine area, ive never had this before its hurting quite a bit, im a bit worried, anyway we will know in a few sleeps! also before every AF I always get one sore nipple, the left, the left one is ALWAYS sorer or more sensitive than the right, does anyone else experience this?

AHHHHHH i got a BFP!!!!! on cd25 and its quite strong with pregnosis is it a false positive? HELP!!!!! i cant stop crying im scared!!
Hey again. thanks for the thoughts Mollygirl,Poss and 21...I thought you'd all ignore the crazy rant:redface: Well I can't give in to POAS as I have none and live out of town. I did one on about cd28 just so that I could put all doubt out of my mind and take control. when I saw absolutely no hint of a pg, I thought I'd move on and forget it but remembered Dusty tested neg 3 times before bt confirmed pg.
That's what's doing my head in... I really think I'm gonna hold out and wait until I know I'm really late. I even tested neg on my ovulation tests when I was due, then I tested 3 more times over the following days and can you believe, out of three goes, I forgot three times to check the result and killed the test:doh: well it doesn't hold the same anticipation as the preg test does it...ooops! I did manage to check the result for the preg test and definitely negative, no faint lines. DH is a bit hopeful now though, as he knows I'm a bit overdue and is allowing the creeping excitement so maybe tomorrow we will weaken but i doubt it.
Thanks, I'll let you know...
:clap:omg 21 did you just get a positive go to the chemist and get a different brand hunny  and you no what else when i was pg before my ovulation test also said pg
omg how exciting
Hey 21&tcc, so sorry I missed your post lastnight. I must have posted at the same time as you. You poor bugger....how did you go? I'm keeping everything crossed for your :bfp: You should get a clear reading shouldn't you, as you're not on any drugs or anything yet, how could it be a false positive? Ooh I hope you have a computer at home and let us know this weekend.
AFM, I'm out. the witch arrived stealthily and without warning but she's making up for it now and I'm just gonna sulk a bit in bed before facing the day. DH is a bit bummed too,but we'll join the back of the baby-go-round queue and jump back on next month.
Good luck to all the waiters,
Ange
Oh murph, I'm so sorry to here that. Take it easy sweets.
Congrats 21 on your BFP.
hi girls, well no more news yet as I havent had a BT yet due to the weekend but i did get another positive this morning!!! i will be buying a different brand tonight and do another test tomorrow just to be sure. AF is supposed to be due on monday so time will tell, and i dont take any meds so i think it should be trustworthy, im still not getting overly excited though!

Sorry no personals, just want to share my coping strategy for yesterday (killer AF, disappointment and PMT...yay!):
No tears, just:
1 large block of chocolate
Copious amounts of favourite music...Billy Bragg (for those old enough to know), Bob Marley and John Butler Trio played on repeat and very loud in my car while driving to get said chocolate!!
A few glasses of favourite bevvy (Malibu and ...anything) oh and pain killer of choice
and last but not least, a trip to the library and a fabulous day long book binge on the day bed .....ahhhh, I feel half human again :goodone:
hi everyone i tried another brand "crystal clear" sat evening and another very strong second line, im still very nervous as AF is supposed to be due tomorrow and i dont want her to come!
dutchie- thankyou for the kind words but im officially not out of the 2WW yet! but im confident, i really hope u get what u are looking for, as I want u to join me in the new thread!
Murph - thankyou also for all the support, i know its hard seeing others succeed and u feel left behind but your time will come, im sure! also i love the post about the chocolate! well written!
21- congratulations!!! What a lovely surprise - before your FS appointment and all!
Hi Girls,
I am currently going through IVF and while it doesn't look great (estimated EPU is 4 follicles) I am still hoping I can join you soon. For now just wanted to say hello :hello: and send lots of :bluedust: and :stickyvibesgirl:
21: good luck with BT tomorrow
Murph: I love your chocolate strategy
Sara
21and ttc- congrats again...great news belly buddy ;)
murph- ah that sux...am so sorry...like your coping strategy though. I recall getting a BFN and getting a huge cream caramel pie and eating it...i felt better for a moment at least..hugs to you
murph: sending you some special hugs at the moment. good luck. also love the chocolate, it does help. i know. xxoo
21ttc: have you had blood done yet? i'm dying to know. please please be a BFP. got everything crossed for you. xxoo
afm: still relaxing. not doing much prob do last frosty in march now.
good luck to all those still waiting in TWW.
hi guys no af today which is great dont have BT until wednesday though. im officially out of the TWW so will hope to see all of you in the preg forums soon!
Thanks for the thoughts. It's been a strange few days and actually to be honest, the chocolate didn't help that much. I was in actual pain, which I never really get. I really feel like something different happened this time and I'm a bit afraid to think that I might have lost something. I've felt sick on and off for three days, huge PMT and very heavy AF. It's like it's just not my body, but I can't blame drugs as I'm not on anything. Anyway, the chocolate sure took the edge off (two blocks!) but I got back to the meditating and green tea yesterday so I'm not entirely off the wagon.
Hi Sara, :welcome:
21...arrghhh, you've got us all in suspenders! Good luck.
hi murph hugs for you and good luck with your bt 21ttc!
just a question from me... like murph have been hoping for a natural miracle while waiting for FET this month.
AF was due fri/sat and STILL hasn't arrived. no sore boobs or sore anything. a few niggles in my belly but nothing of note. Three BFN when POAS but two were done mid-morning, arvo and the one i did this morning was after huge amount of water yesterday (very thursty yesterday and last night).
so confused??? has anyone had a delayed period the month after ivf cycle? would there be a reason the HPTs would not pick up anything. DH is hopeful as a preg friend told him yesterday that she was 24 days overdue for her AF before a faint lined showed up on HPT.
HELP!!!
hayley I really hope that maybe you are pregnant! I have heard of people not testing positive with HPTs until a bit after AF was due... you never know!
hi grub - I had a delayed AF after my first down reg IVF cycle (she was delayed by at least 2 weeks). But never had any delays after a FET.
Good luck.
