Hi girls

The craziness has started. Started the pregnyl yesterday and I havw woken up this mornign feeling woozy/dizzy with nausea!!!! Arrrrggghhh. Plus, my skin looks great!!! Bloody hormones, I feeeeelllll pregnant! So annoying. I know it's the drugs, but why does it have to feel so real?

Just a rant. Otherwise okay. Had a lovely Australia Day yesterday, got rained on in the city which was fun!

I am 4 days post ovualtion, adn 4 dyas post IUI.

Brown spotting today. Don't know what it is. I usually spot in the week leading up to AF, do you think I should just ignore it? Can I ignore it? It's the same kind of spotting I would normally get, just not this early. Sorry if I am making everyone else crazy as well

Neptune: What could it be ?? 4 days post iui

look at how it goes:

Ovulation - lets call it day 1 (because we all ovulate on different days): the guys go in and hopefully fertilise the egg. At that point it is a single cell.
Day 2: Eggs divides into 2-4 cells within the nucleus
Day 3: Divides into 4-8 cells
Day 4: Divides into 8-16 cells
Day 5: has divided into more than 100 cells - it's now called a blastocyst
Day 6: hatching and looking to implant

During all this cell division the embryo has travelled down the fallopian tube to the uterus and is looking to burrow into the endometrium on day 5 to 6. You may get some spotting between days 21-28 of your cycle but not always.

So any bleeding you see on the day of IUI is usually caused by the cateter passing through the opening of the cervix. If you get anything from the speculum its more likely to be bruising.

It may be some residue from the IUI preocedure, annoying your cervix, is spotting a side effect of Pregnyl ??

So according to that i would be day 5? So, it could be very early implantation or residue form the IUI procedure...didn't get any spotting at all from that in the last few dyas.

Anyway, no matter what, this is the 2WW madness isn't it?

It just looks like my normal pre AF spotting, but hey, I like to live in hope, and that mantra "ignore all symptoms" just doesn't cut it for me once I get to this point, and I figure that no matter what, it is going to hurt if I am not BFP no matter how balanced, negative or positive I am!!!!

good BT result today... surge started so I'm good for FET on Monday! and no more BTs til feb 11 for my preg test. They told us we shouldn't discount our little blastie so i suppose... here we go again.

if fet doesn't happen ie embie fizzles then we'll go straight into another stim cycle. ugh.

Neptune it is more than fine to have a rant. I have keep myself sane this time by having a pool installed and not having a minute to scratch myself. Can anyone tell me (as you all seem to know so much more than I do) does the prog pessaries increase CM. I know gross question but one I am curious about. Trying not to read any signs into the syptoms. Had last pregnyl inject on sun so they should start to wear off soon. I am really due for BT on thurs but am waiting til sat as I dont want the results at work.

Loops - Good luck - sorry not sure about IUI procedure re blood test, I went straight to IVF and hopefully someone can answer your pregnyl question as well

Neptune - it's so hard to ignore symptoms - is say go for the most positive explanation at this stage - why not! Let's say it's implantation - it's got to be better thinking the best rather than the worst - anyhow too early to think the worst

Saph - fair enough for waiting for BT - stay away AF and come on BFP for Sat!!

WLAB - I know what you mean it's so hard not to look for signs - I have been a bit like that today, wondering if I was going to get any implantation spotting or not - nothing to date. It's the not knowing that is the hardest. Great story about your glasses too - hopefully it's your time for the universe to conspire your way...

AFM - Trying to stay calm, I have been meditating in the morning and have found that a really good start to the day, am going to try and keep that up, anything to help with sanity. I also have an accupuncture appointment on friday so that will also be good.

Hi Saph, from my understanding, it does, any increase in P4 whether naturally through our normal cycle or by medication can induce us to produce more CM, not the stringy, clear egg white you get before O but the cloudy, clumpy or sticky pasty type.

I am feeling the same way as you Neptune, had another Pregnyl booster yesterday and it is making me feel ill, very tired, sore BB's etc, like I am pg. Thanks to you guys I know it is likely to be the injections so won't get my hopes up too much but obviously still hope that I will be pg as well. If that is at all possible LOL. Thanks for your help.

I am on day 6 of TWW. BT due for 4 Feb. This is my first FET, with 7 embies still frozen. Any body else at the same stage?

I look forward to reading more of your posts and see how you are all going at your different stages.

Welcome loop! I am two days behind you my BT is on 6th Feb.

The wait is starting to become annoying - I don't think this ridiculous heat is helping either!! I don't have any symptoms other than twinges but they feel more like they are to the sides in my ovaries - so maybe from stim drugs. Who knows but it's hard to ignore and not think about it.

Having a shot of Ovidrel tomorrow so that will make me tired and give me other false symptoms as well.

Does anyone know when I could POAS? Would it be like 2 or 3 days before my BT? I think my frosties were 3 days old so how many days post transfer do you think you could get a reliable result. I have read the Ovidrel pamphlet and it only stays in your system for 48 hours so by next week I should be clear of drugs??? Yes feel naughty thinking about POAS already
