It sounds like you've already pulled yourself up by your bootstraps, and are looking forwards. Kick up your heels in the silly season, and look forward to seeing you back here in the New Year, its gonna be your year!
Hold on, i was looking at it in a dark room, once i put it under the light i could see a very faint positive line, confirmed by my friend next door. I'll do another in the morning when i can get a good stream going. Then BT friday!
I have been lurking and keeping an eye on all you ladies and was so excited to read your posts that I just had to share!
I POAS'd on my BFP and here is my advice to help you get through.... don't be alarmed if your FMU is not a darker result as mine never was and showed up stronger during the day than the morning.. Nurse said that not everyone is the same and FMU is not always darker for some. Plus, it's always a good idea to buy a different brand to test as well... my first was so ridiculously faint that I was convinced it was a 'shadow line,' had a cry over it… and then DH suggested we buy a different brand and wallah... two defiant lines with the 1st response brand!
Sending you lots and lots of and keeping everything for you! Definitely looking good though - yay !
bronsie so sorry to hear that this was not your month
Jaki that that really faint line is confirmed as a positive
AFM well my BT is tomorrow and I'm getting really scared now. Still no AF felt sick last night like it was coming but it could have been due to the fact I have some wine. Didn't POAS as I'm still so convinced that it will be the same as last month where I get to the test and they say sorry it hasn't work and it must be the pressaries that have stopped AF from coming. I'm sort of prepared for that but who am I kidding I'll still be gutted
Thanks ladies.... to make things more confusing in my run of stupidity i drank a liter of water to be able to pee on a 2nd stick, then it was neg. But then i heard that drinking too much water dilutes your hcg levels and gives no result.
just a quick post, will do a proper update later when in a better mood.just got back from FS appointment.he is willing to let us do iui but doesnt expect it to be a success and it is risky for me.DP acting an idiot about it all at the moment.will explain it all when i update
Jaki - No more POAS! That's an order... Just joking! Not long to go for you now
Terry - I posted you in another thread, but for tomorrow. Only one more sleep ... If you go to bed early, it will be tomorrow before you know it
Emerald Star - I've also posted you elsewhere; just wanting to know how your transfer went today.
AFM, my transfer went well today. We finally got to see (well, not actually see but you know what I mean) a blastie. We got 6 of them, can you believe it? Two are now inside me and the scientist said at time of transfer that one was hatching, so one of them has got their little skates on! So tonight both my partner and I are feeling relieved and - dare I say it - happy. But as we all know it's a rollercoaster ride and I dare not hope for too much too soon.
Brunette - YAY!!! That's so fantastic, I'm really pleased for you. So glad you stuck to your guns and waited for the blasties! Best of luck for the 2WW hon
Terry - I've got my for you for tomorrow, I hope the time passes quickly til you get your results! Wishful thinking, I know...
Jaki80 - ooooh, sounds exciting good luck for your BT
Trubabe - hope everything is OK, sounds like there's some progress, so thats good!
Emstar - I'm joining in the chorus - let us know how you went!
Hope the rest of you are hanging in there, and not going too loopy!
AFM - still having symptoms, but losing hope, as temp had dropped this morning. The witch is not here yet though, so there's still a glimmer of hope... maybe... Have decided that if AF hasn't shown up by morning, I'll POAS, and then book in for my BT on Friday. Ooh, its gonna be a long night!
I POAS again this morning, this time i get a line that is so faint i may be seeing things. My hubby is cranky as he didn't want me doing the HPT's, and he says there is no line. I haven't lost hope, im only 9dpt. My BT is 10 dpt as i had a day 6 blastie transfer. But even with that it can be too soon to see huge results.
i thought i better do update while its still reasonably fresh in my head. Had my first appointment yesterday afternoon with Dr DeAmbrosis at QFG.only half the info had been faxed to him so didnt have all of it to give verdict on but he has said what ever we do we have to be aggressive about it.He is willing to do iui til we have the money for ivf but he doesnt think it will work and with me having scarring and tubal issues there is higher risk of ectopic if i do fall preg from it.he wants me to have a different HSG next week that tries to blow the tubes clear of any blockage.he said to me you will be in a reasonable amount of discomfort after it so have two scotches and 2 analgesics lol-gotta love a dr that suggests drinkies for pain lol.im to start letrazol??? today and to see him early next week to start Fsh injections.DP wants to do the iui even after saying what dr said.im kinda scared, knowing risks.finally got the official word on DPs previous semen analysis he has Oligozoospermia with reduced motility.he is to taken aloe vera tablets and folic acid daily plus eat gojji berries and pumpkin seeds im to take folic acid, berocca, fish oil and zinc.for the HSG i have to have anti biotics too.he also agrees with gp that i have p i d again from unknown causes.when we are able to do ivf we can start transferring two embryos straight away he said about 10% chance of twins.he did a scan and i also have a new cyst on left ovary thats about 3cm.doesnt look like its a luetal cyst like my previous ones. oh and for ivf it looks like we would need icsi most likely. after appointment i had to have a heap of blood tests and then see nurse co ordinator.she wasnt going to register is yesterday as it was going to cost $185 but then when she realised that we had had iui done elsewhere in last couple years they waived the registratiion fee and registered us . gotta ring FS office later today and let them know if we are going ahead with iui. he is also willing to write the letter we need for applying for early release of some of DPs super
oh forgot to mention DP has to have blood tests before next week and if possible another semen analysis. he is being a grumpy butt and acting a bit weird since yesterday
Thats alot to take in for you trubabe, Sounds like you really need the IVF. Its alot of money but worth it. We also has ICSI, it cost more but at least you know they little fellas are getting in there.
xx
Well I'm going to start off selfish (sorry) BT has been done so now the wait for the result is on. I still feel really normal and no sign of AF. I'm so scared to think that it's positive as last time the same thing happened I got the the BT was excited only to find out it was negative and really late because of the pressaries. There its off my chest
Brunette faboulos news so glad you went with your gut and got such a great result that they now stick for you or at least the one
Jaki hang in there not long to go I knwo easier said than done
Trubabe you have some tough choices to make don't worry about DH they take a little longer to come around and aren't as resilient as us. rather than take out money from super have you thought about taking out a loan for IVF I know there is a company that does this they advertise it at our clinic
Hi lovely ladies, apologies in advance because I think this is going to be a long post!
Leabie - I'm sending you positive vibes for today and FX for your BT tomorrow!
Jaki - Hang in there. It's funny how your DH doesn't want you to do HPTs. This morning when I told mine that I'm not doing any until my BT he was amazed. I think he wants to know before me! With your day 6 transfer, do you do the assisted hatching thing, or same as a day 3/5 transfer?
Trubabe - I have seen Dr de Ambrosis in the past for gynaecological reasons. I also saw him about a month ago for a second opinion I just wanted to let you know that he is not only a founder of QFG and IVF but he is one of the very best in Australia. He calls a spade a spade, and some of his comments have me and my partner laughing for weeks afterwards. You are in very good hands.
He recommended the following for me: 5g folic acid daily, multivitamin; berocca daily; Co Q10 daily; good-quality fish oil x 2 daily; 5g prednisone twice daily; 120g aspirin; clexane 20ml daily; 40g zinc daily.
He recommended the following for my fiance: 40g zinc daily; goji berries & pumpkin seeds, 20ml aloe vera juice, vitamin C, Co Q10 and 5g folic acid daily. (I must tell him my partner that your DH is taking aloe vera tablets b/c he hates the taste of the juice!)
My partner has had a reversal and as a result had problems with his sperm count (motility, morphology and volume). This is why we did IVF/ICSI. However, can I recommend someone for your hubby? If you can afford it, please try to see Dr Jason Jackson, a naturopath in Cooparoo. He specialises in natural pregnancies but he also works in with clients doing ART. We saw him about 3-4 months ago and he recommended pushing back this cycle so the vitamins/herbs had time to take effect, because it takes about 3 months for the life of sperm, so to get rid of the old and the new to come through with the benefit of the vitamins. Dr Jackson takes a thorough history of both of you. In our case, we gave him my partner's sperm tests and he recommended a tonic for my partner (again, mixed with liquid; foul-tasting I am told), and various other tablets for him and for me. I was on Elevit and he recommended Bioceuticals's Women's Essentials. He said Elevit focuses too much on folic acid and doesn't have a balance with B vitamins, which is important. He also put me on fish oil tablets. He tweaked things again for us in the lead-up to transfer and I had to take a couple of Chinese herbs which help with blood flow etc.
I really recommend seeing him because about a month ago (so only about 2 months of taking vitamins) my partner had a sperm test and it came back perfectly normal in all counts! My FS was amazed and said that we could fall naturally. If money is an issue (and let's face it, when is it not?) perhaps be upfront with him about it and where you can ask him if you can get generic things like fish oil, folic acid etc. Maybe you will only need to buy from him the tonic for your hubby; it lasts for two months. I get 5g folic acid tablets from the chemist in a tiny bottle and they are cheap as.
Sorry for raving on; I just hope it might be of help to you. Anyway, you are in very good hands with Warren. Good luck!
