Mel: When I had the trigger shot, I had to wait to least 10 days for it to be less than 10IU, and therefore not be able to be detected by a HPT. And I was also told it doesn't I tested 13 days after the trigger (12DPO) and got the BFN with a 10IU test, so it is definately all out by then

    Hi,

I am new here too and was directed to this thread!

I am on my first IVF cycle and my third transfer which happened Saturday so I am on day four. I have no idea if it has worked and I actually got quite upset on Monday over the whole thing. I am glad to see that I am quite normal as I got worried with myself for being so negative!

It is just so hard to stay so positive all the time - I know I have only had two disappoints and some people in here have had several. My hat is off to you ladies. I am amazed at your strenghts!

    Hi Everyone
I am very new to this so please tell me if I am in the wrong secton. We are our on second IVF and have just had a Day 6 Blast Grade 2 transfer on Sunday. I dont know how I am going to last until my test next Thursday. I don't think I will get BFP as I have been cramping since the day after the transfer. However I was cramping a little just before transfer but I am thinking maybe its the Crinone Cream.
Its hard not being able to talk to many people who dont understand what your going through unless their doing it themselves
Good Luck to everyone I hope you get your BFP.
Hope to hear from you soon

Hi Claire, Lucia and Nat, and welcome.

Lucia and Nat, try not to worry too much about knowng (yet) whether it has worked or not. You can get yourself into an overly analytical state (like me) analysing all the possible symptoms or lack thereof (in my case I analyse DW's coz I'm a bloke), but in the end some people fall pregnant and don't havea clue and others know right away.

My new theory is if you can achieve fertilisation you can achieve just about anything when it comes to making babies. Sure, your first, second, third, or more cycles of AC may not work - but if you can just crack the part where the two parts meet and form one, then chances are eventually you'll run the whole race. Good luck.

Rols - Thank you for your support. I try all the time to tell myself dont read into things but just doesn't seem to work for me.
Lucia - I know exactly the way you feel. I had my blast transfer on Sunday, I am finding it hard to stay positive as I have been cramping even before the transfer. I am hoping its the Crinone cream. My test is on 6/9. It just seems so far away

I was wondering if anyone has used Crinone cream

Im sorry Mum2jaden, good luck with the clomid next month.
Big welcome to Claire, Nat and Lucia. How are things going today??
Nat i have been getting cramping with the crinone cream, is a very common side effect so dont worry too much about that yet! Sometimes when i get up from sitting down im like "OUCH." Im so over the cream, three more days to go. Sorry if TMI but it feels like i have a big tissue in my hoo haa!!! And it just feels gross!! I know its hard to think positive Nat but try and keep really busy and your mind off things a little bit. Try not be negative its not all over yet. Still have lots of time for that embryo to stick!
I hope we get lots of BFP's here soon.
How are are you and DW Rols? How are you Shel??
We are long overdue for good news in here................

    Hi All,

Just checking in - Day 9 of TWW (which for me is three not two..how lucky am I?) Felt quite ill in the stomach most of yesterday. I have limited myself to one cup of coffee a day and I couldn't even drink that!

Feel much better today and am trying hard not to analyse every little thing that happens. It is so hard to know if it is remnants of my HCG booster, the Crinone gel or that maybe everything is working the way it should! Today is the last day of my beautiful north coast holiday so DH is taking me down to Byron Bay for the day. (we are staying on a farm up in the hinterland so a trip to town is a big thing!)

Claire Nat Lucia - welcome I hope your TWW ends with a BFP!

Rols, Em how are you both going?

    Anyway..I hear the beach calling....

Oh and I have stilll not bought a HPT! So Proud!

    Cheers and babydust!

    Shel

    Hi Guys,

So glad I decided to take the plunge and join here! I don't know anyone else going thru IVF and I only told the people that had to be in the know about this transfer so it is really good to be able to talk to people who know exactly how it feels!!

I am OK today - My cramping has been slowing stopping since Tuesday morning and I am feeling much better, getting a grip back. I am still get twinges and I get little waves of nauseous but that could very well be nerves!!

I am trying not to focus on it, and just get on with things. I actually forget about it last night for a milli second and I honestly have no idea if its worked or not and just prepare myself for either or.

I hope everyone else is going well this morning!

    How is everyone today?

I am on day 6 and all my symptoms are slowly going so I guess that's not a good sign. The cramping has almost stopped, and I get cold feeling across the top of my legs but I could be holding myself strangely and I do get waves of nausea and lightheadness but could very well be nerves. My boobs are bigger but they ain't hurting at all so who the bleep knows!

I won't be at all surprised if my periood comes next week - disappointed but no surprises. Just have to believe that there is a divine plan in everything.

Hope everyone else is well and good luck!

Lucia, I know what you mean. It's such a pain in the backside not knowing whether the funny feelings are pregnancy, drugs, nerves or something else.

Remember, you don't have to have symptoms to be pregnant. Don't give up.

    Hi Guys
Lucia - I am currently Day 5 and my cramping has also nearly stopped so I am hopping that this is just the Crinone cream. My boobs are bigger and still sore but not as much as they use to. Is your test Wednesday?

I have been told to have 3L of water every day which is very hard as I don't manage to do much work as I am always running to the toilet (sorry TMI). Also been told to have protein drinks and eat plenty of foods with protein. The worst of all is I have to sleep elevated so I don't OHS as I had quite a few eggs out. (I am just a winger)

Rols, when do you and your DW go for your blood test?

At present I am trying to stay positive but also preparing myself for the next cycle. Our first IVF we did ICSI and this one we did IVF. So still a little confused

Good Luck Nat. Keep your fingers crossed !!

This tranfer was a natural one so I am not on anything - have nothing else but my body! I am beginning to wonder if the cramping was because of the transfer because it was slightly uncomfortable rather than meaning anything else and it has simply settled down now. I don't feel pregnant - my first transfer I just knew I was pregnant from about day 5 and I was - none of that this time. My blood test is actually next Friday but my period is due on Wed.

3L is alot of water!! I bet you are busting to go all the time! Who suggested that much water? Bananas are very good to eat too!

    Hi Lucia
My fingers are crossed for you too!!! I love hearing when people get BFP's as you know how much happiness it brings and you hope one day that will be you

How did you know from your last transfer that you were pregnant?

Thanks for the tip with bananas, I will start having them too!. My doctor told me to have 3L to stop OHS.

Nat same deal with DW. She had 26 eggs and had to drink 3L a day, which was funny given she is 45kg and hasn't got much room for camel-like amounts of water. But, her levels were really high and they said the only reason she didn't end up with bad OHSS is because she stuck to the water regime religiously.

It's not nice I'm sure, but it is good for you in more ways that one.

    ...and BT is Tuesday.
