LTTTC Two Week Wait Thread #6

Hi everyone...

Got AF today, which I was actually happy about... the uncertainty of it all means I'll grasp any sign that my body is actually doing what it's supposed to.

Hopefully I will see none of you back here because you'll all get BFP's :D

Leasha, Sonya and WenJ, so so sorry about BFNs and AF arriving. :grouphug: Best of luck for next cycle.. hoping that BFP is just around the corner.

Claire, I dont know much at all about OHSS but I hope you feel much better today and the docs are happy with your subsequent bloodtests :hug:

Hi all other ladies and gents :hello: My girlie weekend away was just divine, heaps of relaxing and girlie chats and silly word games like Pass the Bomb and Scattergories, also did indulge in a bit of wine and LOTS of junk food, naughty me !!! It was a really great weekend. AF still hasn't arrived so now I'm CD31, but not getting my hopes up as AF could come as late as Wednesday as I O'd late this cycle. The weekend was a great distraction from the loo checks !

To every1 else am hoping your BFP is around the corner.

I am currently CD35 and stressing. Did a HPT on Fri and was negative. That night slight pinkish streak and figured on Sat AF would come. Now Sun night and still no sign of AF. Did another HPT and still BFN.
It would be a miracle if would be BFP due to going a la naturelle this month. But stressing as have never had AF this late!!! Usually around 28 days 30 max! Has that happened to anyone first cycle after IVF cycle? Am thinking that perhaps its body adjusting. Would be nice miracle if BFP. But 2 negative tests! Doh. Doing my head in!

Hi Mon,
I O'd about 5 days later than usual this cycle - the cycle after my IUI. Even if your BT on CD1 after IVF has shown your hormones are back to normal, maybe there's been some kind of flow-on effect onto your next cycle, making you O later than usual (from your earlier hormone injections) - ?. I had hcg injections after IUI so I'm wondering if that was the cause for me? (I didn't ask the doctor this, it's just a theory!)

I had my blood test this morning, so now just waiting for the results this afternoon.

Hi Deni, I have also had HCG injections and I am pretty sure that these are mean't to make your levels high enough to sustain a pregnancy. If you have been tested on Day 1 and you were pregnant the HCG hormone would be at a certain level but if not they would of dropped (I think thats the case). Please anyone correct me if I am wrong

As for me its now 3 days after my transfer on Friday and I am going insane. I had a Day 3 Grade 1Compacting embryo implanted along with a Grade 2 6-8 Cell embryo. I am also on that dreadful Crinone Cream, does this give you AF like symptoms!! Does anyone know of some signs that implantation has occured?

Well girls unfortunately our natural efforts weren’t successful so I'm now feeling very down in the dumps at work and just feel like going home but I'll push on.

Anyway it helps with knowing what's next so I'm back at the clinic for my CD2 BT tomorrow and FSH from day 3. I’ll see you gals back here in two weeks with IUI #2.

To those of you who have not been lucky this cycle - I am sorry. I really hope your journey's don't continue for much longer.
Those of us still counting days - could they hurry up??!!! I am going slightly mad (not sure if its the waiting or the crinone).
Are any others of you experiencing the "symptoms" of crinone (tired, grumpy, tummy pains on & off, feeling sick)? I am & it really sucks! I know I have been snappier than usual to people today for no reason at all, but just can't help myself.
TL - I think you & I are having BT on the same day (05.11.07). Best of luck to you!

Deni - I am so sorry! People always tell me its better to stay at work and be distracted from it all as hard as that is it probably is the right thing to do by at work as you will drive yourself in sane at home

Peta - I am experiencing exactly the same symptoms as you on that horrible Crinone cream. Tummy aches, feeling sick and moody. Lets hope this is a good sign for us
My BT is on Wednesday 7th November, its so far away!!! I am tempted to do a HPT on Sunday but i reckon I will just jinx myself

Well, I have the results from the BT - its a :bfp: for us!!!!

Still in shock, don't quite believe it. I did do a HPT on the weekend, that came up with two lines, but we weren't going to get our hopes up until the BT results. Yay!

Nat and Peta - I had pretty terrible cramping from the Crinone. Or what I thought was the Crinone. It has actually eased over the last 3 days, so perhaps it was implantation? Hard to tell. I had tiredness and nausea as well. Now I don't know whether it was the Crinone, the BFP or both.

Just a quick question I have had some white CM and wind and a little tender on the right side as well as a tight feeling and a bright blue vein has anyone else heard or these as symptoms before?

I have had that....infact I am still a little tender on my right sideand it also feels alittle tight. When I stretch it feels like my insides are ripping and thats the side I had my transfer..not sure if this has anything to do with it though.
Waiting for AF to transfer again.......

How are we all today? This TWW is really dragging for me
Ok I have a few symptoms but I am not sure if its just me but not only do I look 4 months pregnant but my stomach is very tight and also my stomach muscles feel like they are sore from exercising.
anyone experienced any of this

So when you press your tummy it feels like you have been doing hard core excercising (tight) but when you lift my top up let me tell you it sure doesn't look like it
Lets hope its a good sign for us

Has anyone had a BT a few days after transfer to check on progesterone and oestregoen? My results came back at Prog - 1200 and Oes - 700. Is this a good sign taking into account that I am on crinone twice aday and I had two 1500 Pregnyl shots

Mon - I am sorry that AF has showed up
One minute I think I could be preg but then the next I get little pains not much as yesterday and I get all depressed again. This is such a emotional rollercoaster we go through isn't it

Nellie - Congratulations!
Question - has anyone experienced minor bleeding while in TWW using crinone? I am really hoping that this is only a "thing" but am scared it may be AF and therefore mean BFN this cycle. I don't really want to call the clinic as I am sure they will just say to wait till BT on 05.11.07 & go from there. Sorry girls & boys, any help would be appreciated - just feeling really bad right now.

Peta call your clinic it is what they are there for I have started bleeding today I called mine they have been great we may still have 1 embie haning in there

I was a little confused as to what would happen if one of my two embryo's transferred didnt survive, how would this be released from the body? Would you get a period but when it came to blood test time you may still get BFP if the other embryo implanted.

Nat, sometimes you may get a bleed if both two embryos implants but one doesn't continue. But if only one implants, you will not get AF-like bleeding associated with the loss of the 2nd embryo. You will just continue with a singleton pg as normal.

It looks as though AF is defintely here today. I have called the nurse this morning & she has told me to continue with crinone (yuk) as there is still a slim chance I could get a BFP after BT. I am not really holding my breath, but trying to focus on the idea that we still have 6 frozen embies ready to go. So, a bit of a downer, but not to worry, hopefully i will be back here really soon.

Nat, since it was a blast transfer, I'd say test on Friday. :) That will be 12dpo, so it might still be early if you don't get a line, though.

Hey peeps, speaking of which, DW asked the clinic today whether it would be OK to do a HPT later on in the TWW as our BT is totally ****ed up by the time at which it falls (ie has to be done a couple of days after it's due), and the nurse said due to the drugs there would be a chance of a false positive.

As far as I'm aware HPTs only look for hCG, and DW hasn't had any hCG boosters this cycle, only pessaries and the oestrogen tablets. So I am somewhat confused by that.

pessaries don't give you a false +ve, slyder, but I have heard others being given this same info by their clinics. Either the nurses don't know what sort of LP support people are on, or they are trying to actively discourage the use of hpts. Personally I think it's a bit of both.

My thoughts exactly, Sushee. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't barking up the wrong tree. They definitely know her LP status, so it has to be the latter. Sort of annoys me that we're being treated like kids. I know that the BT is the definitive answer, but we also know the risks of using a HPT prior to the BT.

How is DW doing today? And how are you?

I am losing more and more confidence today as I am little cramps alot like AF. If it is AF I just want it to hurry up and arrive so we can plan the next cycle.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi Nat. Hope you get an answer one way or the other soon. What you say is exactly my attitude as well to these things.

I'm fine, DW fine mentally. Physically, yes there are some signs but as I said, more than likely it's the pessaries. The main thing at the moment is that if she doesn't keep eating she feels queasy. She's also getting tired very easily, but not dog tired like when she was on the crinone last cycle. Until she does a natural cycle I trust nothing! I really don't think it's going to happen this time.
