My hubby and i have been TTC for avoer 12 months and i dont want to go on any meds as yet (im only 23, and have abeautiful 20 month old anyway) but we're going to try some herbal remedis, as they've worked well for me in the past throughout my pregnancy and with breastfeeding etc..
my question is, how many of you have fallen pregnant after beginning maca root and how long did it take you?
***if anyone has any further info about maca root please add that too as im very keen on the idea..cheers
I'm so sorry but i don't have answers for you, i just felt the need to reply because often when these kind of posts are made not many... IF any... ladies will respond, most probably because they don't have anything to share that would be of use on the topic.
Try your luck on google, and give it a go - share your experience with it with us because some of us here are looking for ways around our problems constantly, looking into so many alternatives.
I myself have just started licorice root today to assist in ovulation, as i have read that if taken like clomid (with highest recommended dosage for the 3 days) that it can work the same i. I'm actually going to post my experience with it here - just incase it is of some help to anybody out there... and of coarse to stay a little sane this month TTC with a new method!
Snugglybean, are you taking the powder form or tablet form?
Have you experienced an increase in energy?
I've been thinking about taking it and found a supplier on a website.
Thanks in advance
I started taking the maca vege capsules about 2 months ago. My cycle is normally irregular and varies between 35 and 50 days. Since taking maca, the last two have been 30 and 32 days. I feel better overall and my energy levels seem higher.
The bad things I've noticed have been much worse PMS symptoms - my boobs have been sore pretty much since I ovulated this month, and the last two periods have been so so painful I've had to call in sick to work. So next month I'll be taking it until I ovulate and then giving it a break until AF comes again. If the next AF is still that painful then I'll be stopping it altogether.
I had really really sore boobs from ovulation onwards... but I was pregnant.
I've heard that stopping and starting can make mood fluctuations worse, so maybe you could just go for one tab every second day in the second half of your cycle?
Thanks Audax, that's a good plan. You're right stopping and starting suddenly might make symptoms worse. I'll try that this cycle and see what happens!
DH and i have been taking it for a few weeks now and can't keep our hands off each other it is suppose to help labido but since we didnt have a problem in that department OH! my! god! we are sneaking off to the bedroom all the time even while kids are awake lol.
We did take it a few months ago but stopped when we took a break from ttc i am glad i am back on them i have more energy aswell.
