    More clomid questions

Just wondering what kind of monitoring I should ask for on my first clomid round? Just CD21 bloods, or are ultrasounds really necessary?

I see my GP on Thursday which will be 9DPO, should I bother testing beforehand (probably a waste of a test) or will she do it (or ask me to wait, or do a BT on 15DPO etc?).

Last question... my chemist doesn't stock clomid, is it hard to get in normal chemists? They said they would order it in but it might take up to a week... if I don't fill the script until AF arrives that's cutting it fine for a CD5 start.

Is there anything I really need to ask my GP about before starting? I've never done clomid before.

DD1 took 12 months of constant charting and OPK's and preseed and sex almost every day blah blah blah... we have casually not tried not to fall pregnant for 6 months now and this is the first month of serious timed trying, GP is happy to put me on clomid because of the crazy number of anovulatory cycles I have had lately.

    Thank you lovely ladies

Thanks so much, perhaps I need to ask for bloods only (oh and go to a bigger chemist LOL). I don't want to go for US all the time. Is your little girl a BFP from a round of clomid?

Yeah the FS never ever mentioned an ultrasound to me at all. I dont think its that necessary. Yep I concieved on my 4th round but it was the 3rd round I had ovulated

Congrats After 1.5 years it was well deserved . FX we can do it in 3 or 4 rounds of clomid as well! I really hate TTC, I still have a bad attitude about it from DD1, I feel stupid that not even giving birth to a healthy daughter reversed some of what changed in me when conception didn't happen immediately as a healthy 20 something year old. Stupid huh? Oh well...

Hey, while you two are in here, can I ask a question? I've been told (by 1 doc only) that I would never be put on Clomid because of my weight and the added risk of multiples - have either of you heard/been told that? I never pursued it because I thought it was out of the question, but I thought I'd ask...

Hope you don't mind me briefly hijacking your thread PX

    Hi jack *waves* LOL.

Actually my GP did talk about the risk of multiples (5% chance?) but not about my weight. I've put on a lot of weight lately, I'm now 75 kgs and 167.5 cm tall. Pre DD1 I was 62, doh!

Im really hoping it works pronto for you PrincessXanthe

Kieke: No I am big and my FS never said anything. I was about ?116kgs when I went to him. He said the risks of multiples were 7%. He said I am what I am.

    Hi jack *waves* LOL.
Dude, it took me SO long to figure out who Jack was

Hmm, that's good to know! So, only through an FS, or can a GP do it?

Gosh I hope she doesn't mean she is sending me to a FS to get clomid, he is like $100 / 10 minutes! This lady is definitely not a FS nor an ob/gyn. It would also take me ages to get an appointment again. Blah... I guess I find out Thursday.
