I'm taking the Seeking Health brand. The sublingual tablets have 800mcg metabolin and 1000mcg activated b12. I take one a day. I also take a multivitamin which has some metafolin. Same brand.
A good place to buy things from the US is iherb. They are a lot cheaper and have good shipping rates.
We don't know if the mthfr contributed to our boys or not. As mthfr can alter DNA in a developing foetus, then maybe. We don't know the mthfr status of the boys and my DH hasn't been tested. One, because it wouldn't make much difference to babies so long as I am taking activated folate and two, because knowing could affect his life insurance. I don't know if I want to know that's what killed them. It doesn't bring them back and I'm doing all I can do now I know about the mthfr.
It's also recommended to take low dose aspirin, as mthfr can contribute to platelets aggregating, but I am intolerant to salicylates so I'm researching another option. Garlic and horseradish seem to have similar effects.
