Amy - Hope you don't mind me asking, but we're looking at IVF later this year/early next year and were just wondering why you didn't need to sniff. In our appt with the IVF nurse, we were told we could sniff or inject. Did you inject instead? And why did you choose that over sniffing?
Tracy - How are those s/e with the synarel? Are they bad enough to recommend me doing the injections instead?
Good luck with your first cycle ladies - I will be waiting and that you all have a good outcome.
JLeigh29 - of course I don't mind you asking. We are all here to help everyone! I didn't really get the option. My periods are very regular, every 28 days and I ovulate around day 14, so since I had no problem there, I guess my FS decided that I could just do a short antagonist cycle. I am not sure if the Gonal F injections are the same as the Syranal? I don't think so. My cycle was so quick and easy, I could not believe it. I was never moody or down and I didn't get any side effects other than feeling bloated. I believe the Gonal injections were to produce the eggs, and then I had the Orgalatrun injections to prevent the eggs releasing prematurely. Then I had the trigger injection and 36 hours later had the egg collection. Any other questions, just ask!
Toby - when are you due for your blood test? for a positive for you!
Have a great Sunday, its so windy out there, so I think I will stay inside where its warm!!
I too am also just starting my first IVF ICSI cycle. DH and I are currently going through Dr Lok at SIVF. They have been fantastic so far.
Anyway, started on 10units of Lucrin injections last Thursday. Was quite surprised with myself that I was able to do them. Was a bit worried to begin with. So moving on, took my last pill on Sat night and now just waiting for my monthly friends to arrive. Have a BT all set for this Thursday and have been told by the IVF nurse that all going well, will start my FSH injections on Saturday .
Just a bit more about us, as well as the ICSI and the IVF were also doing PGD. My husband has a genetic condition and so we were able to be provided with the option to make him the only one in the family with it. We started our whole IVF adventure just a little over 12mths ago now and now its time for all the great exciting things.
Hope we can all support each other on here. Will definately need it. Am kind of stressing a little too because I know im taking the injections but aren't really feeling anything other than a slight sore head. Is this normal I wonder??
Look forward to hearing about all of your experiences and tips
Thanks for all the goodluck vibes.
Amy my FS is Dr Talbot and BT is Friday. I'm going to be a nervous wreck then (not if AF shows up first)
How are you all going?
