    Need help interpreting scan results (first IUI!)

    Hi Everyone....wondering if someone/anyone can comment on my scan results as the FS nurse isn't saying to much!
    I'm on 75units puregon daily...

    Had U/S and B/T CD7 (last Fri)
    B/T = "estrogen on the low side"
    U'S = lining 4mm, R ovary 17 follicles largest 9mm (4 at that size), Lovary 13 follicles with 4@9mm.......

    Continued with 75units til today CD11 another B/T and U/S

    B/T = well the machine was broken so waiting til tom!
    U/S = Lining 8mm, R ovary 22 follicles the largest 12mm, Lovary 10 follicles with two large 1@12mm and 1@15mm

    So the FS nurse said maybe maybe IUI later this week ?Fri i have to call her tom at 11 when she will have the BT results but i want to know are these results good/bad??? plus i'm concerned there may end up being TOOOO many follices and they cancel???

    Any coments would be greatly appreciated to put me out of wondering!

    Thanks

    xxBella

    Hi Bella,

    Those results sound pretty good to me

    My clinic trigger when the follicle is 18 to 20mm and like a lining of 6mm of above, so you are going well for IUI by the end of the week I think - but I'm no expert

    The 17mm one will probably be the one to ovulate, and as long as the other follicles don't catch up you should be right

    Good luck!!

    bella - given that you have pcos, it's normal to have a number of large-ish follicles, but as long as you don't end up with too many DOMINANT follicles, you should be fine. reading the results from today, i assume you'll trigger in the next 48 hours when the 15mm follie reaches maturity, but before the 12mm ones catch up! it really depends on your clinic, as some might think those 12mm ones will get too close to being ready, but from what i can gather, most clinics will allow up to tw dominant follies. mine allows 3

    fwiw, my first IUI i had 3 dominant follies (16mm at scan), triggered at 18mm. i had another 21 follies between 10 and 14mm at follies at the scan.
