Nervous after 1st transfer

Hey Ellie, I am sort enjoying my little break here, try not to think about it too much...had a nurse interview about my next FET cycle yesterday, its a lot simpler than stim cycle, no drugs involved, all I need to do is to call them on day 10 (which won't be until May 25, seems ages away) to do b/t and u/s and then time the LH surge to do the transfer...

Saturday, its getting closer, no wonder you are a bit anxious...oh, I would go mad too if was given the chance...but all looks so positive and I am sending you load of baby dust...xx

Ellie, I'm still hoping for you, you have great sounding symptoms so you're in there with a chance.

Beibei, thats exactly how my FET cycle sounds. Nothing to take, just a scan to go to, OPK's to take and then the transfer. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try and fertilize the other follie naturally LOL. As if. But we can try.

Bec, I hope you can go straight into it. It sounds great that your doc has developed a plan specific to your needs, they always have better results I'm sure if they're tailored to you? Hoping really hard for you of course!!

Janine & BeiBei - FET sounds almost delightful...and pain free! Must be so much easier on the body...we may all being doing our FET's together...what a story to tell the kids!
I have slept till 12...and feel pretty average now...my boobs are definately back to 'Pre-drug' size and still having lots of 'nagging' AF feelings...but SOOOOO tired...did you girls do HPT...if so how early?????? I just want this over...can't stand another second!

No Ellie, I didn't have the previlige of making the 'to HPT or not to" decision...but I think you can test as early as 10dpo and obviously the later the better accuracy...I guess you are on 13dpo?

hi i had another b/t today i so hate them Ellie iam so hoping a good result for you on saturday it's my mums birthday as well so i have 2 things to look forward 2 as for the HPT i know it's hard last time i made it to the day before i want to do a HPT but my nurse told me that it might give me a wrong result so i left it :redface:

Just a quick about testing..
I test all the time...apparently I have nothing better to spend my money on..or my surname is FORTEL;)
The first two gave me positives on day 12, with DD I tested up until Day 14 and got neg. I almost wasnt going to go for a BT but had too , to be able to start another cycle so when the poor nurse rang me to confirm the positive as the results wernt there when I rang and made me go throu all the birth date and address stuff and said congratulations ..I told her I wasnt becasue I had done 5 tests and they all said BFN. I think in the end she hung up cause I was ranting that it couldnt be right..then my legs went to jelly and I fainted pmsl.
Anyway will be back after I do some work;)

Well I did a test this afternoon after work...and the BFP line came up straight away...and the darkest I've ever had! So now I'm worried I've tested too early and it's still from my trigger...which was two weeks ago today exactly...what do you guys think????

Oh, Bec, your post alwasy cracks me up...I'd so love to be in that situation even being hung up...

Ellie, I think even you had a trigger or preg. it should be out of your system after about a week, so I think there is really something happening in there...if not one...:D there probably will be a big congrats in order....keep testing and let us know

Did another test this morning...and the BFP came up immediately...OMG...one more sleep for BT...can't wait to find out what my levels are...one or two????????

Yahoo Ellie! Congrats girl! That MUST be a BFP, two weeks is too long to still have the trigger in your system. Especially with a DARK line... Awesome news, congrats!!!

Thanks girls...am feeling terrified not excited...have got to this stage a few times now only to have our hearts broken...work sucked today...feel really sad...which is totally crazy...just scared of getting hurt again I think...and then I feel guilty for not being excited...can't wait to know my levels tomorrow...so glad it's Friday!!!!

I'm with the girls you are pregnant:) I asked my IVF nurse how often do you get false positives with IVF she said she hadnt:) That was years ago when I was quietly packing after a positive test and waiting for a BT..
If I could do the confetti thingo I would...just imagine I am throwing bits of paper in the air whoohoo

Thanks Bec! Have just got home...DH came with me which was lovely...he has been to every single test/scan etc this time...I think he's my lucky charm! Of course the clinic was the busiest it's ever been and we had about 15 people in front of us...so we went into the ward and visited our neighbour who had a baby on Thursday...and to totaaly make my day the little darling only stopped crying when I was holding her...DH is convinced it's a sign!!! Then back to the clinic...Our embryologist came in and kissed the little thing of blood (cant' think what they are called?)which was lovely...she was very happy to see me looking pale and feeling REALLY sick! DH then took me for a lovely brunch overlooking the ocean...did some shopping ...now we wait...one hour and five minutes to go!!!!!!!!

OMG...they told me to call back in 15 minutes...so I cracked it!!!!!

And...they put me through to the nurse...

They had the whole team on speaker phone for the BFP!!!! Hcg= 235 , E2=4400. p4=315...best levels I've ever had!!!!

Now bloods every three days to check it's not an ectopic again?????

Still hasn't hit me yet...I've been really sick and the cramps are bizarre...if I didn't know my progesterone was so high I would be convinced I was about to get the worst AF of my life...nurse assured me it's 'all to be expected'..whatever that's supposed to mean? I can't say the 'Pre.....t' word out loud yet...maybe after ectopic scan...I think this is the really sad part of TTC for 8+ years...I'm so prepared for heartache I don't know how to enoy this...I feel a bit ripped off...my SIL's all jump around and everyone gets excited when they're at this early stage...I can't even tell anyone...and don't think I will for a while? What do you guys think? Should I be screaming it from the roof tops?

Ah, Ellie sweetie, I know that kind of feeling just by reading other girls' posts in Pregnancy in 1st Trimester, its only very natural though at this early stage, I think I will be the same. Nevertheless, I think you should start enjoying it...how wonderful to be in that kind of state...make the most of it hun...

Also since you mentioned ectopic pregnancy, I know my FS said it is very rare to have that when you have IVF since they put it into your uterus the right place rather than in a natural cycle, embryos have to do a little bit travelling to get there themselves...so I just want to reassure you that it is really unlikely to happen ...

So enjoy it I'd say!!!:dance:

Ellie, you tried for so long and obviously you've had alot of setbacks and your guard is naturally up, its self preservation isn't it. But like BB said, its unlikely to happen again, so try to enjoy this wonderful time in your life. And NBHHY - (nothing bad has happened yet), so just take it one day at a time... You're on your way now!! Thats the most important thing! Yay!!! Thinking of you!!

Janine, how are you travelling this cycle?

Mine is quite eventless since we are on a break, DH and I will give it a try naturally anyway...I know its very slim chance if that hadn't happened after 3 years, but who knows...

I was surprised to know that transfer will be happening 5 days after the ovulation on FET cycle...so it won't be until early June...a loooooong month to go...but I am going to make the most of it...ie. tennis..:D

hi everyone!!!!! iam so happy for you Ellie::P that is great news....... i have had my transfer it went well, we transfered 2 embies!!!! so big changs of twins but will be happy with what we get, we also got 8 frozen very very happy with that,tummy still a bit sore from EP, friday wasn't good had to have a heap of blood test cause my leavels went to high,so iam on the crinone ge dose anyone know if i will blead if one of the embies dosn't stick???

Hey Vanessa, Congrats on the transfer, so exciting. And now the wait begins. Hope it goes smoothly and quickly for you. I don't know about the bleeding, because you could bleed if they DO stick. When's your blood test then?

BB, Wow, I didn't know transfer is only on day 5? Or are your embies day 5's? If so, that makes sense, but its still a long wait isn't it? I think they tfr as per how old the embies are?

Ellie, have you had another test?

I'm okay, just waiting for my scan on Thursday. I've had a few electric zap feelings in my ovaries, so don't know whats up with that one. Time will tell I guess. Oh, my doc phones to say we have Sperm Binding Issues, thats why only 2 fertilized outta 10. I still don't know what that means but at least its an answer someway isn't it? Unexplained is so frustrating.

Waiting for test results...going insane...this is when things usually go wrong for me...get the BFP then next results are bad...I so hope that's not going to happen again...I just can't do that again...I so scared...30 minutes till I can phone.

Hey Janine, yes, my embie is blastocyst, so yes make sense they transfer it 5 days after my ovulation...Hope soon you will know more what the issue is and then find the solution but seems all going into the right direction...

I am quite happy to find out today that apart from the access fee, my PHI covers all my day surgery cost which is a great relief for me...I got a shock when I received the bill of embryo freezing fees of $632, which you can't claim anywhere,all these just add up doesn't it?

I'm paying only 180.00 a year to store my embies thank goodness...its seems like there is a bill always showing up. Funny thing I never got a storage fee until I filled out a form for a sucessful pregnancy for there statisics and then got a bill after that lol maybe they thought it might soften me up :)

Im just hanling it very realistically Im trying not to listen to my bodies psuedo signs because I always convince my self this caould be it so. Im excited but trying to prepare myself for the bad news so I dont mely down too much. Just remeber If TWW doesnt bring the news we want its not the end we just have to keep going. Also keep busy and look to this forum for support I have found it really comforting and my spirits high..

No tips Vanessa unfortunately, I just lived in denial for the 2ww I guess. Pretending nothing had happened, and then all of a sudden it was over. It actually went pretty fast the last time, wierd. Try to keep busy if you can. Its not too long now! Half way there!

i had my transfer yesterday and am sooo nervous. i seem to have little aches and burning sensations in my lower tummy on the right hand side. hopefully its just the crinone.
