First Clomid Cycle - when do I ovulate?

I'm on my first cycle of clomid and so far my temps have been increasing slightly each day from CD1. I'm CD 9 now (so 3 days after I stopped Clomid) and had a significant temp drop this morning.

I was told ovulation happened 5 - 9 days after stopping Clomid. Can it happen 3 days after or could the temp drop be unrelated?

ovulation on clomid can happen anywhere from about day 10 onwards - usually later in your cycle - it's supposed to "regulate" cycles, but most people find ovulation happens later, but they have a more appropriate (12days plus) luteal phase

i will just say though, that for some people clomid doesn't work - crazy hormone swings but no ovulation. unfortunately there are more than a few of us here that have been through this. essentially your gyne will check if you ovulated on that dose, may experiment with different doses etc - but they can't guarantee a response - they might need to use something different (like injectible meds) to get your to ovulate

I Oed on day 15 on my first cycle... prior to that I was not Oing at all.

I used opk's to make sure I didnt miss O day. I got UTD first time!!!!!

GL hunny... try the opks if your worried about missing the egg!

We are all different so it may happen at any time. Have you got an appointment with your Ob to have a scan to check how you are going? I found with me some cycles worked others didn't using the clomid depending on the dose. You may have to find the perfect dose for you. Good luck hun, hope you get your BFP really soon

It will depend on your usual cycle lenght, and also the strength of clomid you take. I take 100mgs and I have around a 30 day cycle, I O on clomid around CD16.

But I have had cycles on clomid where I didn't O at all. Always best to get a 21 day blood test from Dr
