    Question Please help me!!

We have been TTC for over 12 months now, without any intervention from the doctors, i have been told by specialist he would like to start me on chlomid. However before i start that i was thinking of trying chinese herbs and accupunture.
Does anyone have any succes stories they can share? Or even if it didn't work for you and if it affected you? I like to research thoroughly before i go ahead with anything. I want chlomis to really be a last resort.

I've done things the opposite way around - started with clomid (with IUI), then puregon (with IUI), then IVF and now trying TCM/acupuncture in between IVF cycles (and will continue acu with the next IVF cycle if we're not pg before). Our diagnosis is unexplained IF. Since we've only just started the TCM/acu I'm waiting to see if it works, but I know a lot of women who swear by it!

If you feel more comfortable with it I don't see why you can't try it first. I have a very scientific background (and had a needle phobia until I started all these damn injections) so I would not have felt comfortable starting with the TCM/acu.

    Hi miss kris

Firstly I want you to know I am sorry that you have to endure LTTTC- it sucks!

We spent 5 years TTC through IVF, with no avail. I am certainly not guaranteeing this but in July last year I had acupuncture whilst we were having a 'break' from IVF, I fell pregnant naturally in September last year (sadly it wasnt a sticky baby) however in January this year I realised I was pregnant naturally again! (Sorry I hate that word naturally, but didnt know what other word to use).

So obviously I dont know for sure but it seems a little coincidental going through 5 years of no pregnancies with IVF.

Hi Hun, sorry to hear of your journey thus far.

Have your Specialist done any testing?
I ask because we did 12 months of clomid before they decided to do a laproscopy and found two blocked tubes. So the clomid was useless.

It's best to insist they do some investigating to try to find the cause of your infertility - rather then jump straight into a bunch of medications. That's my personal opinion

    Wishing you lots of luck

Well they did some ultrasounds on my ovaries and found that my left ovary is tiny compared to my right which is normal sized, they believe i don't ovulate at all.

but since writing this thread i have had some problems, back aches on my left or right side of my lower back randomly, spewing (sorry for TMI) and a cold, they think it could be my ovaries playing up or my kidneys. Have another ultrasound on thursday and hopefully they can give me good results on friday!! I would just love to know what the hell is happenning in my body!!
