Hi. I am going completely crazy and need help. I have been researching until my fingers hurt to try to find out how long it takes for pregnyl 1500 booster to be out of system
I had a transfer Thurs 24 July of a hatching blast. My last pregnyl injection was Sunday 27 July.
I did HPT's from 30th all BFP testing 25ml. Some faint line but got darker. Did another 25 ml test this morning and it was very faint and I assumed it was the pregnyl coming out of my system - SO, I bought a discover one step this afternoon that measures 50 ml and it went positive straight away and not faint. So what is going on? My blood test is due monday morning and this is killing me. is this real or the booster of pregnyl? I emailed the doctor yesterday and she said the pregynl is still in my system and can cause a false positive so to wait until Monday. Has anyone experienced this. Has anyone has a similiar experience nad got a negative at BT? HelP !!!!
i would trust your doctor - i've been through the process using booster shots, and have only ever believed it when using the ultra sensitive ones and confirmin the pregnyl out of my system (usually 4-5 days after final shot) and then watching a line reappear after a complete negative for a day or two. i always recreate same circs in timing of the sample too - cos it can be easy to have varying results depending on the concentration of your pee!
good luck - so far it's sounding like good news for you - but i would wait until you get a positive BT before celebrating...
Yes - my logical brain agrees wholeheartedly with you -although this is the same doctor that hates to be optimistic. she is so divine (new doctor) but she had me in tears before my hatching blast transfer because she said of the 17 eggs only 4 were left and they may not make it. I got a hatching blast and 4 extra blasts (only 2 ok to freeze) but i think she likes to not get hopes up which I appreciate.
I have never had a positive test before ever so very exciting. I actually took the one step which measures 50 to try to tell myself it wasn't true which is why I was so shocked.
I was told if pg that the line would not disappear..... I have not had it disappear - do you think this suggests it is purely the pregnyl? I would think that registering on a 50 test after 6 days after would be unlikely- but knowing my luck to date who knows.
Oh that is so great for you.... i have always been so upset about them not working this is our 3rd icsi cycle and we had 6 FETs in first cycle all BFN - the thought that it might be our turn is making me feel nauseous with fear and excitement. I am so scared its not real but scared it might be because I just couldn't believe it could be ~!!!!!
I am glad you are home Sat night too to listen to me whinge. x
everyone metabolises the pregnyl at a different rate - i've heard anywhere from 3 days to 7 days before it's out of your system - my clinic won't test (BT) til day 8 after the last injection....
i think you're in with a chance, but i would be cautiously optimistic and not get excited until you get your results from the clinic (but i'm a lot more cautious now than i was in the past, for obvious reasons!)
that makes sense Briggsys girl. My BT will be 8 days past my last injection.
I will test again tomorrow and see if any sign on it still. If it is there then, I will start to hope a bit more that its out of my system and is real. Part of me thinks though that it should be reducing if it is just pregnyl which suggests i should be at least only getting a positive on a 25 not a 50 - I would be interested to know what sensitivity of test all the false positive people who have experienced this are testing with.
You are welcome sweet you have the tired feeling to look forward to if it is that much sort after BFP I have my fingers crossed for you and as the girls and I say Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise
Sorry I forgot to finish this to advise it was a BFP !
Not the pregnyl after all.
This is our 3rd full Stim Icsi and about our 8th actual transfer so we feel very pleased. It is very early days - but we had very high beta levels and good progesterone so I am full of positive thoughts.
Thanks for the responses and well wishes - and hope the rest of you get your BFP !!!! soon
