Price of IUI Brisbane

I have heard different stories as to the costs of IUI in brisbane. As I am still awaiting my first FS appt, I would like an idea of costs involved.
What did you pay and how much did you receive back from medicare?

I went with (and am still with for my IVF) Dr Wynn Williams at Eve Health which is now part of QFG. The total cost was $650 and we got around $400 back from medicare.

I see Dr Gordon Kilvert at QFG and my IUI's cost less than $600 (last year) and we were usually less than $100 out of pocket.

Checked my Medicare claims history:
Paid $581.95
Refund $491.95
Out of pocket $90

Great! I have heard conflicting prices but these prices are definately affordable!

For what its worth, I have a friend in the Caboolture area who was paying something like $1400 out of pocket for IUI's. She was understandably upset when she found out what I was paying. So there are some huge price variations around. If you find out the Dr's pricing and fee structure (ie how much to which medicare item numbers) beforehand, you can work out how much you should be out of pocket using the mbsonline.gov.au website.

total cost for us is $1000.00 and as we reached the safety net out of pocket was $99.20.
