Roller coaster week. +HPT, -BT, AF, +ve HPT & possible ectopic.

    Just need some advice....

Last Thursday i got a +ve HPT but being only faint i asked for a BT which i had Thurs arvo got the results Friday morning and they were only 6.. The clinic told me to expect AF anyday now and that i probably only developed a few cells etc... I got AF Saturday morning it was pretty normal probably not as heavy but lasted the same amount of days etc... Anyway i kept doing pg to make sure but the line kept coming up and straight away.. So i asked the clinic Monday for another BT and got eh results yesterday and they have gone up to 46........ They are retesting me Thursday in hope to see it double + if not then most likely a ectopic pg and i have to keep an eye on signs of it...

1st question is could it be a normal pg it has doubled every 48hrs to get to 46?

2nd Question girls who have had ectopic pg how many BT did they have to confirm it, and how far along were they when they had a U/S???

    Hi Jane,

I am sorry I can't help you but just wanted to respond to your post. In my endless Googling, I have seen low numbers go on to be successful pregnancies, though as you know the norm is not the case and you have AF in the mix. I really hope that it will for you. What dpo was you BT? Just sending you lots of positive vibes and hope it works out for the best. Hugs,xx

I am sorry you are in such limbo my love...

Okay - maybe you ovulated a little later than you thought? It's not over yet love and that figure isn't too bad for 16 - 19 DPO...

I hope the next result is up near 100. Big hugs...

    Aww what a crazy week!

Did you chart your temperatures at all this cycle, or have any other indication of when you ovulated? I agree with FC, sounds like a later ovulation. Fingers crossed for you!

Thanks girls....... The roller coaster has been a bumpy ride..... I ended up in hospital after some pains on my rhs on Wednesday just got home... BUt BT are going up 146 & 113 (first bt was 146 and 2nd a few hrs later that was done in ED was 113) on Wednesday and then this morning it is 265... I was sent home told it is not ectopic all good, but i went and saw my clinic nurse and she said there still is a chance GGGGGGAHHHH so now we are just waiting to see what life brings... Ill have another BT on Monday and then again Wednesday & Friday probably have a scan the following Wednesday and i see the Dr ill be seeing through the pg on 2nd March all going to plan....

Im so tired and exhausted i really don't know how ill get through the next few weeks but we have gotten this far we can go the rest of the way.. My veins might not LOL but we will....

OO i didn't chart it was doing my head in a few months back and i wasn't sleeping properly so i stopped.... But i had the IUI done 23 days ago and had a +ve OPK the day before and that morning.. I had 2 follies at day 14 scan 1 was a bit smaller then the other 1 and im wondering if it got released a day or so after the IUI and thats why it is behind a bit just have to wait and see......

Has the witch AF showed up? While she is gone we can hope and pray with you that it is a healthy little bubba growing for you.

    Thanks girls..

No AF but i had a bleed last weekend which i thought was my period pretty normal af just not as heavy....... Started getting strong pg symptoms though, yucky hung over feeling all day with strong waves of nausea from time to time. sore bbs on and off earlier they killed couldn't even cuddle DH, but they are ok at the moment, hormonal sore lower back (which i had last time i was pg), hungry all the time and gone off fried food (which again i had last time) and exhausted all the time so things are looking up..

I ended up heading back to Ballarat today cos i nearly passed out this morning i went to the toilet at 6:30, started feeling really sick like i was going to vomit, then got hot, sweaty and flashes in front of my eyes managed to get off toilet and lie down on the floor boards and came good.. Got hubby to take me to hossy just incase but they seem to think it is just the pg symptom, if it gets worse and i have bad vomitting, and pain im to head back...

Just a waiting game now, ill have another bt on Monday to check my levels and im pretty sure they will continue that for a week or so until hopefully im far enough along they can scan me and see something probably around 2 weeks time i could have a scan ill be 7 weeks by period...

    Hi Jane

You mentioned that you were heading back to Ballarat in your post. Are you with Ballarat IVF?? I'm doing my treatment with them, have been since Nov 07. As for the comment about "Could still be ectopic".. there is that possibility... Here is my story from Nov last year.

Well, had my second FET and things seemed to be going o.k, on the day of my BT my HCG was 13 (so not positive - above 50 and not negative - below 5) so had a follow up BT 2 days later and HCG was 46, so still not great but increasing. Was getting some pain 2 days later (Monday) so dropped into the clinic to find out if I could take anything, while I was there I was getting sicker and after having an emergency examination with OB, it was suspected I had an ectopic so was rushed to hospital. Another BT was done that day and I was told that if nothing was found in a tube when I had surgery that night, then they would leave the tube alone and not do a D & C. After surgery I was told my tube was fine and my HCG had gone up to 226, so I was in fact pg. However it was still suspected that our little one tried to implant in the tube because the next day I experienced heavy bleeding and a BT 1 day later confirmed my HCG had dropped to 44, so I ended up miscarrying.

However looking forward, I am now on my 3rd FET with my BT scheduled for Monday, however I have been getting + POAS's since last Sunday, so it appears finally we have our much wanted BFP.

I sincerely hope it is the case of a late O for you and that everything goes along nicely, however please be mindful of any possible symptoms as clinics are always wary of possible ectopics when the HCG levels start so low.

    Hello,
I really hope that everything is going well for you and that the BT are going strong. I just wanted to add in here that there are some girls around who are now very pg after having low hcg results...it can and does happen...sometimes things are just a little slower to get going or come together.

Good luck and wishing you a H&H pg!

Aww hun so sorry to hear that this wasn't a sticky bubba . I hope those levels have gone done tomorrow and you don't need a lap. Go easy on yourself these next few days, this rollercoaster can be so exhausting.
