Has anyone else had a slow response to the nasal spray??
I am on on 2nd IVF cycle at Monash now and their cycles are different to MIVF. MIVF I was on a two month cycle, Synarel for one month - then start injections etc - I had no problems.
This time it was suppose to be only one month and I seem to be taken a long time to react to the Synarel this time - I am already been on it three weeks longer than I was suppose to be.
Has anyone else this experience?? And what did you do?
I've not used the nasal spray due to hay fever, but is it worth asking if you could switch to the lucrin injections if you are not having any luck? I've used lucrin for two stim cycles (at MIVF) with no probs.
Hope you can work out something.

I have another blood test on Monday and and I aksed what happens in if my level still ain't low enough and my nurse said they stop the cycle but let's not go there just yet so I have no idea???
I didn't know there where injections you could take instead - I wonder if that's what they will do.
I think they are as bewildered as me because I had such a good reponse last time.
Does a stuffy nose make a difference? I have had a bad nose this year and sneeze for about 5 mins nearly every morning - totally out of character for me. I wait til all that settles down before I spray and I try and do it around the same time am and pm but sometimes I will be out.
Hi ladies,
I too started off on nasal spray but stopped after day 2 as hayfever caused me to sneeze as soon as I sniffed.
I have been told that syneral is not always the best way to go because you do not always get the exact does. Some of it comes out your nose or mouth and makes it difficult to ensure you are getting it all in properly. I was not given the option of syneral of lucrin (self-injection only once a day) because our clinic was low on lucrin. I think they ought to warn hayfever sufferers that they will react to syneral as it could affect your cycle. Plus, even if you only have one or two puffs on the syneral, then change over to the lucrin (which is what I did) they might still try and charge you for the open syneral as it cannot be reused (which is what happened to me!).
The reason why they start most women on syneral is because most clinics have a low supply of lucrin. However, if you have had hayfever problems in the past, make sure you ask them to have lucrin readily available to you before you need it so there is less stress on you and less fussing about.
Lucrin is not for everyone though. I hate even looking at needles! But you tend to get used to it after a few jabs!
Hi- I had a slow response...but I only had to stay on it one week longer than planned (2.5 weeks in total i think) and then finally my hormones were baseline....good luck! I was also told if I didnt drop low enough we'd have to stop that cycle and start again
