provera is the devils drug! well, it has been for some of us. the hormones swings can be pretty bad. normal PMS comes around the same time you get the natural drop in progesterone welcoming AF - given provera is high dose provera, it can be pretty full on when that hormone change happens. best to prepare your family that you could be a little "interesting" for a day or three. the increase in progesterone can make you a little grumpy too - so it can last the whole time you're on it and then for a day or three after
with the clomid - there are a number of side effects - the list in the box is pretty accurate - so mood swings, cramping (like AF), hot flushes, headaches, visual issues (i had floaties in my eyes like eye migraines) - there are some more serious ones too. not everyone will get all of them. some will get none. some people won't respond to clomid at all unfortunately (they may get side effects that show it's doing something, but not actually O - this happened to me on even 150mg)
are you being monitored for ovulation? there is a chance of overstimulation. given you don't have PCOS, starting on a dosage of 50mg is pretty high - so keep an eye on yourself - after O especially. ensure you keep up fluids, and if anything seems off, speak to the doctor. hopefully you'll be fairly closely monitored though to ensure that doesn't happen
