Oh I have the addict arms too! And when I told DH what they planned to do with the dildo cam I think he nearly fainted. My nan used to say when you get pregnant leave your dignity at the door. For us its when your ttc. Who would have thought so many people would know the ins ad outs of your baby making when you first started! lol
is it weird that everytime I have the dildo cam stuck up me I compare it to DH bits???
(or maybe I shouldn't admit to that....![]()

Today I have been thinking about the different things I will be about to do if this cycle is a bfn. Not really in a dramatic way but more of 'this could take a while and I'm going to need my A game if I'm going to get through it' way. So anyway I was thinking about my reactions last time one which was a little childish. I said to myself 'fine then I'm not taking my folate!' and skipped three days out of defiance. What a rebel!
I love this thread! It's so recognisable... Thanks guys for making me laugh...
Have had plenty of similar experiences. I'm so over showing my girly bits now, that I suggested last time to my partner that I'd tell the dr, nurse, and embryologist, look you have seen my bits now, now it's your turn to show your bits... (not that I really wanted to see them, just wanted to make it fair...)
My DP has had to go through a few as well, he thought it was hilarious that the first time he had to do a semen test, there were 2 old ladies at the counter. He likes to do his part at the clinic so the sample is nice and fresh. The ladies apologised and said we only have a toilet to do it in and showed him right through their lunch/restaurant area to the loo. He then did his bit and came back after a while, walking with sample through the lunch area and the ladies asked if he'd been successful, then were relieved when he said yes, as they weren't quite sure if they would have been able to help him. He had the giggles by then.
Free cooler bags, yeah right.. What about that lump sum that you're supposed to pay at start or end of treatment?! I have been handing the bags back, have enough stuff at home, am keeping the cool elements though, they always come in handy![]()
lol @ Tasha
I was one of those women who had never had a Pap Smear -- it had been mentioned in terms of -- yeah you need to do one, but I was 29 years old before finally a Dr said.... I can do it now if you want.... no, yes, no, yes.... okay....
If I only knew the number of times I would have to expose myself to strangers - The... OMG I just HAVE to see a female Dr... would be laughed at now... 5 years later - I really don't care anymore - it feels weird.... and seems like I should be SO uncomfortable, but I don't think I am anymore. still... the 10 years I put the pap smear off now seems so funny.
I'm sure at 23 I would have been shocked at all the invasiveness of it all... I was still a student and lived at home until I was 26.... all of this was SO far into my future... if only I'd known it would be so hard....
