Starting on Lucrin without waiting for periods

Hi Ladies,

I have had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago, and from my calculations would have ovulated last night. This will be my 4th stimulated IVf cylce. Have spoken to the FS yesterday, and he has asked me to come in for a blood test next week Wednesday and depending on my blood results I will start Lucrin on Thursday.

Normally my period is not due till about in 2 weeks time, and the FS says that I will not have to wait for my periods, or go on the pill to start Lucrin. Have any of you ladies been through this sort of cycle.

Any information would be great as for my past 3 cycles I have had the long regular cycle, where being on the pill, Lucrin, etc.

I have always gone straight to Lucrin without being on BCP first. I suspect it's because I didn't have a chance of falling pg naturally that they didn't bother with a BT first, but this is the protocol most used by my FS to do a down reg cycle, so yes, it's one way to do it.
