    Success on clomid?

    Hey everyone

I was just wondering what cycle of clomid you got your bfp? It's my first cycle but I don't want to get my hopes up :/

I'm pretty sure it was my 6th cycle. My first cycle I was on 50 and nothing happened. So doctor upped me to 100. I got my BFP on my 5th cycle of 100. It took about 2-3 cycles before my body even got itself sorted out. My O day was all over the place and I had a short Luteal phase. When I got UTD it was my first cycle where I O'd even remotely close to day 14 and it was the cycle after I had my first luteal phase of 14 (it had been around 10-11)

    Good Luck!

    Hi Ahurani

I did 4 monitored (via 21day BT only) cycles of clomid at 50mg. None of those resulted in our BFP. I was then schedualed for a laparoscopy at the end of January. So that ment I had to stay on the clomid for another 2 unmonitored cycles untill said lap.

On cycle 6 I didn't O untill CD23 so had to delay the lap by a week making the new date 1st Feb. The lap was done CD3 for me and yes I was told to keep going with the clomid.

So that makes it cycle 7 on clomid. This is the cycle we FINALLY got our BFP. We were ready to move on to IUI next but luckily we didn't need to.

I am currently 7 weeks 3 days pregnant.

I was on my 7th cycle of clomid when I got my bfp. I did 3 rounds on 50mg, ovulated 2nd cycle but no bfp, the 3 cycles on 150mg with no ovulation and lucky 7 on 150mg resulted in a bfp! I'm not sure if it made a difference but with the 7th cycle I took the tablets from days 3-7 instead of days 5-9, may or may not have made a difference, I like to think it did Good luck and I hope you get your BFP first round!

I know! We were just about to start the whole IVF thing and were lucky to fall pregnant on the 7th cycle. After I had DS we decided not to worry about contraception as it took so long to fall pregnant the first time and we had a lovely surprise when we found out I was 8 weeks pregnant when DS was 10 months! All the best, I hope your ttc journey is short and sweet!
