Fi, I feel for you. It's so hard when everything is looking good and then within a day or 2 you feel like it's all turned on it's head. I hope the phone call with your FS will help and your cycle doesn't have to be cancelled. Haven't heard anything about the fine needle procedure.
Amy, stay positive...the pregnyl may really give you the boost you need.
Swirl, good luck with your first injection.
My fingers and toes are crossed for you girls!
-
Hi Amy
sorry to hear your progesterone was low, I was on the pregnyl booster last cycle and it really did help. My problem has always been low prog, but following 1 booster my progesterone was 168! so I have everything crossed for you!

Hi ladies,
How annoying just wrote a really long message and it disappeared, hate it when it does that:wall:
Well i finally am going to have iui tomorrow after a very up and down week, thought they were going to cancel, but phone call today is go ahead so very happy that these follies wont be wasted:) oestrogen was moving slowly during the week but has increased by 300 since yesterday , no scan today but follies were 15, 15.5 and 13 yesterday, was concerned they were on the small side but FS said 2 would be mature, also found article that said when injecting with purgeon 15 is adequate, so my mind is at rest. We have also decided to do a double iui, read last night that recent research shows that iui 12 and 34 hrs post trigger has an increased preg rate. Since it is my last for 2 months, will give it a go FS happy for me to do it, will cost 100 dollars as medicare will only cover 1 iui, not bad really! Feel slightly better that ovulation is more in line with my natural cycle which is normally day 15ish.Thats my update!
How are you all going? it is very quiet here?
Amy- hope the wait isnt too bad! do you have to have another prog blood check?
Swirl- hows the jabbing going?
Kaydee- how much longer till your next cycle starts?
nicole and belinda- where are you up to on your ivf cycle? how are you going?
hope your all good

Hi Fi. So glad your levels have all worked out in the end! What an emotional week you've had! Best of luck for your iui tomorrow. I hadn't heard of the option to have 2 iui's done.. might be worth considering for our future cycles if our clinic will allow it.
Not sure when our next cycle will start... I hope it doesn't!!!!! My last "in between" cycle lasted 34 days :wall: I didn't think AF was ever going to arrive! I've only just ovulated so I'm guessing this cycle will be a longer one too. I'm at day 20 now.
:hello: Swirl and Amy. How are you girls going?
-
Hi Ladies,
Swirl, good luck for this cycle. Hope all goes well!
Amy, how are your levels? I do hope the pregnyl shot does the trick. I hate pregnyl!!!
Fi, good luck with the IUI tomorrow. I didn't know about the double iui. Hope it goes well for you.
Kaydee, fingers crossed AF doesn't arrive for you!
A quick update on both myself and Nicole. Nic has decided to put the IVF on hold for another month, so she and her man are busy DTD all on their own this month!!
Myself, had epu yesterday. 8 eggs from 9 follies. All DH's number great. Went home, had a call from the clinic 1 hr later to tell us DH sperm motility had declined rapidly and they didn't think straight forward IVF would be a good move. After discussion with FS we decided to do ICSI. We now have a better indication as to why the IUI and trying to fall naturally wasn't successful. Call from clinic today, from 8 eggs, 7 injected, 2 didn't make it overnight, but 5 look fantastic! So if all goes well with my embies, transfer will be Monday. I have to say I have a new found admiration for those ladies who have had to do continual IVF cycles. I am in pain today!!! Very bloated and quite sore, but should subside in the next day or two.
Will be checking in on you all over the next few days!!!

Hi Ladies,
I am so glad to hear that everyone is doing really well :D
It has been one week today since IUI and one week to go  so far I don't feel any different, so I think we will do one more IUI and then move to IVF. I had the much dreaded Pregynl but not going back to the clinic until preg test. I thought it was strange that they don't check my progesterone levels after the injection....but they are the experts.
Belinda - hopefully this is the month for you:pray:
Fi - I am so glad that you didn't have to cancel this cycle, good luck today
Kaydee - I still have everything crossed for you that it will happen naturally for you this month
Enjoy Friday Ladies
-
Hi girls, how are you all going?
Amy, when is your preg test scheduled?
Fi, your TWW begins!! Hope the time flies...
Swirl, how are you going with injections? You must nearly be up to blood tests???
-
Swirl, sorry... just read a previous post and you're having BT and US tomorrow. Good luck!!
-
I had my US this am. 12mm and 11mm follicles plus a number of small follicles on the right. Nil on the left. So no dominant follicle yet. Still waiting for the results of the blood tests. Spoke briefly with the FN who feels all is still on track, will just need another bt and US in 1-2 days to check progress. Hopefully by then will have a dominant follicle and will be able to plan trigger/IUI.
The FSH injections don;t bother me in the slightest. The hcg injections really sting. I got by husb to inject my trigger last cycle because I had heard that they sting and because its a really large volume. I cried it hurt so much. The luteal support/lower dose one don't seem so bad and i have given those ones myself.
I too am interested in the double IUI concept. Might see if my clinic will do that next cycle if this cycle is not successful.
FiFi: just a technical question. With the double IUI do they get your partner to produce 2 samples or do they divide the one sample.
Belinda: hope that the embies cont to grow and develop, good luck for ET ?today.
Good luck to everyone else

Hi Ladies,
Glad to hear that everyone is doing really well.
Swirl - I am so happy that you are getting closer
Kaydee - My preg test is on Friday but I don't feel any different so I am predicting a :bfn: but I am keen to try again
Fi - How are you going?
Belinda - Did you have your transfer done today?
Amy
-
Hi Girls,
ET done this morning, so we now have 1 embie on board. Now for the dreaded TWW!
Amy, :crossfingers: for Friday. My test is the following friday, so lets hope it's great news for both of us!
Swirl, good results with the U/S today. My second cycle of IUI felt like forever as my follies were a little slower to respond. But, just think, you only need 1 good size one to get the BFP!! I agree that the hcg injections hurt like crazy. Are you having the pregnyl after the IUI - they are not fun!!!
Hi Fi and Kaydee, hope you are both well.
Belinda xx
-
Hi everyone,
Belinda- This is fab news that the transfer went well! It must be reassuring that they have found the possible problem in the sperm, as you say , it may be the explanation to everything! I have a feeling this is your month:)
Amy- Not long for you to wait now, I have my fingers crossed for you. Hopefully you wont be injecting again next month, but if you are a small tip for the pregnyl, inject it very slowly, it gives the surrounding tissues time to absorb it, I did a little stopped then did a bit more until all gone, not really painful at all that way.
Swirl- Hopefully you will be on track for an iui soon! To answer your question about the double iui, It is 2 seperate samples, we went in on friday morning and saturday morning, poor DH was drained;) What amazes me is how much sperm samples change from day to day. Initial sample was 99 mil, 1st iui was only 10 mil, fri was 44 mil, sat 24 mil !
Kaydee- Hope AF stays away, fingers crossed you dont have to go through any of this next cycle!
Well update with me is as said before we had the double iui and have bd for the last 3 days, so I feel I have done as much as i can do this month, its not in my hands anymore!
I feel more positive though this month as it happened exactly when i would of ovulated naturally, had my natural LH surge as well. It has been more fun this month, when i knew i wasnt going to be cancelled i relaxed alot, so did DH .
I go for my progesterone test friday, preg test is 2 weeks today, seems along way away! Might change it to the tues as dont want to find out at work, dont want to be crying over the patients if it is bad news:rolleyes:
If things dont work this month then we will be going natural with the pregnyl support for a couple of months.
Hope your all well

My bt results came back late on Monday afternoon. I didn't ask for the exact numbers. FN just said another bt and US on Wednesday morning (tomorrow). She seemed to think things were on track. I'm just hoping that tomorrow will have 1 or 2 dominant follicles so we can plan IUI, accupuncture etc.
FiFi: thanks for the info on double IUI
Good luck for everyone for the TWW, hopefully I will be joining you by Fri/Sat

Poking my head in here ....
I had an IUI this morning. I've been injecting with puregon and did a HCG trigger shot yesterday. My FS was a little concerned that I had 1 large follicles and 4 medium follicles. He isn't keen on multiple pregnancies. However DH's sperm count for the insemination this morning was very low (0.7 million, not even a measly 1 million), so I'm guessing pregnancy is very unlikely, let alone multiple pregnancy.
Good luck to everyone else doing an IUI this month :bluedust:
-
Hi Girls,
I'm a long time lurker, just starting to post a few messages in the past few days.
I had my second IUI on the 3/5/08, so just waiting for testing now.
Interesting to read about double IUI, I haven't heard of that at all!!
I've got my appointment booked with the FS if this cycle is a failure, so I'm guessing next step will be IVF. Fingers crossed we won't need it!
Good Luck to everyone :goodluck2:
-
Good luck Alloy! Fingers crossed a BFP is waiting in the wings for you :D
-
Hi all,
I had another US this am (CD 9). Still no dominant follicle. 13mm and 14mm follicle on right plus a couple slightly smaller at 11-12mm. One 10mm follicle on L plus a few 8-9mm. I wont get my bt results back til this afternoon but I'm assuming it will be further bt and US on Friday. I think this cycle is going to be a lot longer than my last IUI where I triggered day 8 for IUI day 10 and then had AF by day 24.
Good luck to everyone else. Who's the first to test this cycle?
S
-
Hi Ladies,
Alloy :welcome: hopefully you wont need to have your appointment with FS.
Fi how is the 2WW going? I agree that you need to inject the Pregynl really really slow. I ended up having to meet DH at the gym in the carpark because it is the only needle that I can't self inject.....we did get a lot of stange looks doing it.
Kaydee how are you going?
Swirl hopefully you don't have to wait much longer
Amy
-
Hi everyone...
Welcome Alloy and Cherie. :hello: Hope your TWW flies by.
Swirl, hope your follies start to do what they need to do without overdoing it! Frustrating for you to be moving slower than last cycle. I'm hoping for you that things progress and you'll be ready for your iui soon.
Amy, you're the first to test this cycle... My fingers are crossed for you!
Hi Fi! Hope you're cruising through your TWW with plenty of distractions...
I'm currently cd26. I ovulated later, around cd 19 so I'm not expecting anything for at least another week... we'll have to wait and see if this month on our own has worked. Trying so hard to think positive thoughts without being too hopeful, if you know what I mean.
-
Hi everyone, thank you for the welcome!
I'm 13dpo today, and have started spotting (which is the same as my past 3 medicated cycles) so it looks like AF will rear her ugly head on Sunday/Monday.
Best of luck to the rest of you lovely ladies.
We'll be having a break next cycle, before our FS appointment 10/6. It will actually be nice not to have the stress for a few weeks.
-
Hi everyone,
so sorry to hear that AF is on her way alloy, you never know though until she fully visits!
I am also looking forward to a break fom it all if we are also unsuccessful this month, hopefully the mountain air in Chamonix will do the job for us whilst we are away in Europe;)
Amy - I have my fingers crossed for you, how you feeling, any different? Have you been tempted to do a test?Good luck for tomorrow, I have everything crossed for you:)
Kaydee- do you feel any different? We should find out about the same time maybe, my test day is the 26th May.
Swirl- your cycle sounds exactly what ive just gone through, it was alot longer and drawn out compared to the previous 1 which was also very quick, iui day 10.
Cherie- hope the 2ww flys by for you!
A question to you all, in your 2ww do you refain from doing any exercise? Finding it bit frustrating that i have had to stop running, was just gettig into it! Feel a right unhealthy blob at the mo. Also has anyone else felt really hormonal half way through 2ww? Feel like anything could upset me at the mo:rolleyes:
FI
-
Hi Ladies,
Well I cant believe that the 2WW is almost over, and I think that DH hasn't remembered that I am going back to the clinic tomorrow to have a test so I would love to suprise him with a +
Alloy fingers crossed that AF stays away
Fi how lovely that you are going to Europe, we travelled Europe last year and had an amazing time, I can't wait to go again. Have you been told not to exercise?? I train with weights a few times and also do a lot of running....but I don't change it during the 2WW.
Kaydee and Cherie fingers crossed that it has worked for both of you this month
Amy
-
Hi Amy,
Yes i was told not to do any exercise that makes you too hot, in the case of me running, I do get quite hot, probably because im so unfit! If it is exercise that you have always done, and you are used to it, i guess it wouldnt be a problem, ask your clinic their thoughts. Good luck for tomorrow!

Hi Girls,
Amy, good luck for tomorrow - I have everything crossed for you and hope you can surprise DH with a +
Alloy, sorry to hear that Af is showing her face, hold onto hope until you test.
Hi to everyone
-
Hi girls,
Amy - :pink-babydust: for your test results today. Fingers and toes crossed for you
Swirl - did you end up having another US today? Hopefully they find a dominant follicle, and you are ready to go with the IUI
Fi - Wow, Europe should be awesome!! I hope you have some luck while on holidays - wouldn't that be a perfect reminder of your trip?
Kaydee, BB73 and Cherie - hope your tww's are flying by, and you all get a BFP!!
AF started for me yesterday afternoon, so I'm CD1 today. I'm going to give the FS a call a little later, and check if there have been any cancellations so I can move my appt forward, and just find out what she wants to do now.
-
Hi All,
Just a quick update from me.
Another US this am, one follicle is about 16mm and 3-4 others about 12mm or so. Hopefully this one will continue to grow. Suspect it will be back for US on Sun with IUI early next week - still waiting bt results from this am.

-
Hi Ladies,
Just had a call from the clinic and its a :bfn:, now we just have to wait for AF to arrive to start again.
Have a lovely weekend :D
-
Amy - so sorry to hear about your BFN. Hope AF is kind to you. I always get AF before test day, I usually do a hpt to check that its not just "normal bleeding in early pregnancy" - but have never made it to a blood test. Will you do another cycle of IUI?
I had a call from my clinic. My FS wants another BT and US tomorrow am - if my largest follicle has grown a little bit more they will trigger me on Saturday night for a Monday IUI.

Hi Swirl,
I think I would prefer to get AF before the test day, I am 28 days every single month regardless of the drugs so I will still have to wait another 4 days before she comes but we have decided to try IUI one more time and then we will most likely have a break before trying IVF.
That is fantastic that you are getting ready to trigger and that your clinic is open on the weekends!!

hi Amy
Sorry to hear it was a BFN  Hopefully your month is next month!!!
-
Amy- so sorry to hear it was a negative again, I hope DH is giving you lots of cuddles this weekend. Before you know it, you will be starting the next cycle, I also hope AF is kind to you.
Belinda- just noticed its not long till you test, is it friday? how are you feeling, do you feel like you could be pregnant? I have everything crossed for you!
As for me, I dont feel any different, the times before when i have been pregnant, I just knew, so starting to feel this wont be my month either.
Hope the rest of you ladies are well

Hi girls,
Alloy and Amy so sorry this time round didn't work...
Good luck Swirl for your iui on Monday.
Cherie and Fi Hope you girls are going ok...
I've started spotting... but I'm not giving up yet!!!
-
Amy and Alloy - sorry to hear about your BFNs
Amy - my clinic if definately open on weekends. They will do bt, us, epu, iui and ET on any day of the week including weekends. (They do charge more than most other clinics - probably to re-coup some of these extra costs).
I have been in for US and BT on both Sat and Sun mornings - that makes it US and BT on 5 of the last 7 days. My FS is paranoid about multiple pregnancies, doesn't even like twin pregnancies. (Will only ever transfer 1 embryo with IVF - no matter what).
Because I have had 3-4 follicles without a dominant follicle, she has asked for repeat US to see how things are going. This am there was one 15-16mm follicle on left (which has come from nowhere!!!) and one 14-15mm follicle on right, with a few small (8-12mm) follicles on each side. Clinic is now happy that I'll have either 1 or 2 dominant follicles so wont need any more US!!!! I haven't started to surge yet so another blood test tomorrow am. I think they would like 1-3 more days for the follicles to grow bit more, but say as long as 14mm or more, they are likely to contain a mature egg.
I suspect IUI will now be Wed or Thurs. They are not good days for my DH (who often starts work at 0700) so will probably end up using some of his previously frozen sperm.
Anyway hopefully will proceed more smoothly from now on, already feeling exhausted (from all the waiting!!!) and haven't even made it to 2ww yet!!!
Goodluck to FiFi, Kaydee and Belinda (and anyone else in the 2ww)

Hi Ladies,
Alloy sorry to hear that you also had a - this month.
AF started over the weekend and I went in for my scan today and they have found a large cyst on my ovary so I have to have this month off 'to let my body rest'. It is so frustrating....they have said that when the cyst has gone that we can start treatment again.
Amy
-
Hi Girls,
Amy, I'm sorry to read about your BFN too!
Swirl, best of luck for tomorrow, that's great that it's a day that is easier for your DH
Kaydee, how are you going hun? Fingers crossed that the spotting means nothing, and theres a BFP with your name on it.
Hope everyone else is going ok!
Just got off the phone with the clinic, to confirm what I already knew, BFN.
I couldn't get an earlier followup appointment either, so now I might have to have 2 months off, rather than one (depending on how my cycle decides to go this month, it can range from 22 days to 28 days). AF is being nasty this month, bad cramping, and bloating.
Good luck to anyone still waiting to test!
-
Hi girls. Hope you are all doing ok.
Alloy enjoy your few months off before FS appt. It's hard when the cycle doesn't work but at least you've got a date to count down towards. Will the clinic ring you if there are any cancellations and they can move you forward?
Amy how are you doing? Very frustrating for you not to be able to jump into the next round. Hope your month off goes quickly.
Swirl How did your iui go on Tues? Hope your TWW flies by.
Fi Not long now until your BT. Do you feel different at all?? Hope you bring some positive news to this month!!!
Cherie :goodluck: for your last week of the TWW. What date is your BT?
I'm still spotting and waiting for AF. Today is cd33. I've HPT and it came back -ve so I'm pretty sure this month isn't our month either... Last cycle off was long and it wasn't until day 35 that AF arrived. Anyway, the next few days will hopefully tell and we'll be able to start a new cycle of oi-iui soon.
-
IUI went well. 13.9 million sperm which i think is good but not great. Apparently good is anything >4million, great >20million. Officially in the 2WW. I'm having extra blood tests this cycle to make sure prog is high enough and to see whether I need extra LP support. First bt and pregnyl is on Saturday.
Good luck to Fi and Cherie and anyone else still in the 2WW. My beta bt not til Thur 5th June (16 DPO) but AF will come by 13-14 DPO if not pregnant
Swirl
-
HI Girls,
It's been awhile since I have dropped in to catch up with you all.
Swirl, 13.9 million is a good number. I only ever got 5 and 8 million for the 2 IUI's I did! Sending you lots of :pink-babydust:
Alloy, I hope you don't stress to much during your few months break - just keep on DTD!!
Kaydee, sorry to hear it was a BFN for you. I know how frustrated you must be!
Amy, very frustrating to have to take a break due to a cyst. Have they told you how long it will take to go away?
Fi, how are you doing sweetie? I have everything crossed for you!! :pink-babydust: for you!
Cherie, hope the TWW is treating you ok! :pink-babydust: to you as well!
Well ladies as you know my test was tomorrow (friday). I couldn't stand the wait any longer and asked to be tested today. Clinic called 1 hr ago and I have a BFP!! I just want you all to keep your spirits up, whatever you are enduring at the moment and know that you will get the BFP soon!! Best of luck to all of you, I will check in on a regular basis and see how you are doing!

OMG Belinda that is fantastic news
I spoke to my FS yesterday because I have been having pain on my LHS and they have said that when the cyst is bursting or reducing in size that it will usually be painfull. But I suppose that is a good thing and hopefully it is going away and I will be able to start treatment again next month. However they have said that sometimes it can take a few cycles before it is gone :(
I'm so happy for you Belinda, you have made me start to think whether it is worth doing more IUI's or to go on to IVF.
Amy
