Hi Luckystrike and . Hope your iui this time round brings you success. It makes you hold your little ones tighter when you realise what a miracle they are... We too have a DD 3yrs old. We took a while to conceive her, with the help of clomid. After this journey we're still on, you just hold her so much closer. My fingers are crossed for you for a BFP this month.
Megsmum, so glad you are straight back into a new cycle. The month goes by so wuickly when you're going through treatment.
Amy, hoping Pregnyl does the trick for you. I honestly believe it was the reason why we got through our last cycle as far as what we did. It's awful stuff to inject but hoping it's all for a "positive" reason at the end!!!
Swirl, hoping AF is staying away from you... Looking forward to some good news in here!!
Hi all
I've been away for the past week (gorgeous Margaret River) and have had some catching up to do.
Welcome LuckyStrike, Good Luck for your ultrasound tomorrow, I hope they find a follicle that is big enough!!
Megsmum, sorry you didn't get a bfp this cycle, but it's great that they can move you onto your next cycle so quickly!
AmyM, isn't Pregnyl horrible?? I had dramas with clothes not fitting as well, and it drove me insane. Too bad I couldn't wear trackies to work Hopefully you'll get a bfp and won't need your FS appointment.
Kaydee, GL for your FS appointment on Wednesday, I hope you get what your hoping for. With so much going on in a month, the time really does fly by doesn't it? I can't believe it's almost July.
I have my Laparoscopy on Tuesday, and then we had another FS appointment booked for 11 July, but they rang and cancelled on me last week, because my FS is going to be on holidays. I hope I'll get to speak to her on Tuesday, and we can organise something sooner, I don't want to have to wait too long to find out what we're doing next.
I'm on holidays for another week, and then when I go back to work, I'm working 4 days a week! I organised it with my boss a couple of weeks ago, because I was starting to feel bad about all the sick leave I was taking with IUI, and FS appointments. I've got Fridays off, but it's flexible so if I need a different day for an appointment or treatment, I'll just work the Friday instead. Hopefully that will help a little bit. DH says I can only spend 80% of what I normally spend though
Well.... I didnt even know this existed.... I ve been looking everywhere trying to find out more... well I know now...Ok.. I ll be back when I ve got some time to look over old posts...
Kaydee - Yes I am keeping my fingers crossed for a positive too, but for some reason I am not feeling very positive about the IUI thing. My DH count is very low, but the FS wanted us to try IUI b/c we were able to conceive naturally the first time in 3 months! If we hadnt had a child he would have recommended IVF ICSI from the start.
Good luck with your appointment tomorrow.
Alloy - I agree you need some flexibilty with all this. I am able to work flexible hrs with my job so I have been able to work around it all "un-noticed" for now. I might have to take days off for IVF if it comes to that though.
Swirl - sorry to hear things didnt work out. I am pretty negative about IUI also, although I have heard many success stories, but maybe its not the "right" thing for us.
AFM, FS said my follicle was nearly ready so have ANOTHER U/S tomorrow. So back on gonal-f for a couple more days. And then I am guessing he'll make me do the Ovidrell to trigger ovulation. I asked why this cycle was taking longer then last month, but he just said each cycle is different.
Also have my IVF councelling tomorrow, so should be an interestng day!
Alloy, sorry I didn't get a chance to post before you went in for your laparoscopy to wish you luck. Hope it all went well today and you're feeling ok. 4 days a week sounds like it will allow you to relax a bit with trying to fit in appts. I work 3 days a week and I've been really lucky where almost all appts have fallen over the weekend or on my days off. Makes things easier when you don't have to rush to get back to work after BT or appts.
Swirl, so sorry this one wasn't the one. I guess at least you've got your next date to count down towards.. 10/7. It would've been really nice not to need it but it may give you some answers. Take care
LuckyStrike, hope your follies are still growing nicely and you can trigger soon. It's hard to stay positive when we haven't had many successes recently!! To be honest, we weren't feeling all that positive when iui was explained to us but the nurses at the clinic told us that it can be right for some people and it is all they need to fall preg. I guess thinking positive and knowing that at least you're trying something is better than nothing. Hoping this one works for you. GL with counsellor tomorrow.
Angel Babies. Hope you find the ladies in this thread as supportive as I have! Fingers crossed you'll have some success soon.
Amy and Megsmum. Hope you girls are cruising along ok.
AFM, FS is on Thurs. Looking forward to it. Have currently got a really heavy cold so I'm hoping it's eased by the appt... I should have shares in Kleenex at the moment. Off to bed - I've had nana naps the last 2 days and I'm still tired... feeling worn out!!
Today was very busy!
Had 3 appointments for IVF, councelling, nurses and accounts. There was a lot of information to obsorb. There are definiteley more steps involved with IVF comapared to IUI.
Had my US in the afternoon with the FS and he said I am ready to trigger tomorrow and do the insemenation on Friday. I guess that was good news, as I was a little worried why it was taking longer this month. We then discussed what would happen if this month failed and have agreed to commence with IVF-ICSI immediateley. So fingers crossed for a BFP this month, otherwise I'll be moving into the big scary world of IVF. As long as I get my healthy bub by the end of this process, I am prepared to do what it takes!
Kaydee - Hope you get all better soon, and good luck with the FS tomorrow!
Angel Babies - Welcome! and looking forward to hearing your story soon
