Trying naturally between IVF and FET?

We're not planning on heading back for our FET this year, and at the moment we doing the whole 'trying / not trying' thing.

We're both taking our vitamins like good little TTC'ers, but I was curious to see if something like Royal Jelly would help me at all?

Background: I only have one tube, which is open, but not in great shape so I would need the egg to be in pretty tip-top shape to make it through.

Is there anything else I could take to help the process?

    TIA

    Maca Powder
Fertility Fruit Bread (no scientific basis, but good excuse for me to bake and come over for a natter!)

I've not heard much about Maca Powder... will have to do some research.

N2L, it's Audax's special recipe... delicious fruit bun, baked with love and sprinkled with tons of baby dust. She made it for me when I was going through IVF and came over for a cuppa, a goss and let me snuggle her LO for a couple of hours (Nellie and I totally bonded over Dr Phil). I obviously didn't eat enough though...

I just went to my local health food store and asked about Maca Powder helping with fertility and cycle regulation and the lady there gave me the impression that it would help me conceive because it would make me want to have more sex with DH...

She said 'it's great. Just like horny goat weed. Great to help you... you know *wink wink*'

(oh and she said 'just relax. So many people get pregnant when they just relax. Or take a holiday' )

I like my husband a lot and don't really need any help in that area. Are there any other benefits??

Off to spend some time with Google me thinks.

Nic, I have a really good book called The Fertility Diet. It's awesome and basically got my body in tip top shape (along with acupuncture) for us to start out IVF cycle. I know that you're trying naturally just now, but the month before we did IVF, I was charting my cycle for my acupuncturist and my chart was TEXTBOOK and we *almost* considered putting off the IVF to see if we could do it naturally. As you know, we didn't as it was all scheduled in but my body was doing what it should and I feel it was down to the way I was eating based on recommendations from this book - amongst other things of course.

I'll post it out to you today

Elocin, we could totally do that! I'll text ya.

N2L - no, it's the one by Jorge Chavarro and Walter Willett.
It's called The Fertility Diet - Groundbreaking research reveals natural ways to boost ovulation and improve your chances of getting pregnant.

    Awesome book

You meet up without me and you will face consequences....

My understanding of Maca Root is that it nourishes your pituitary gland, so that your body can better regulate its hormones by itself. It's a tuber, not a herb. I wouldn't say it helped me get jiggy, but I did get an energy boost right from it.

Fertility fruit bun, on the other hand, nourishes your heart and soul and heals the bitterness that LTTTC can bring. Must be consumed with a good cuppa and good friends to be effective.

It is extremely delicious. I obviously just didn't eat enough of it for it to be effective for the whole 9 months.

Next time, that will be rectified!!!

Actually, I have to work on my sticky vibe pudding recipe. It's nearly there.
