Hello all, I am hoping that we all graduate from here with a BFP. I ma pretty feral on Provera, my poor husband and doggy keep away from me while I am on it. In regards to Chlomid I was ok, just the typical mood swings and pains here and there, nothing too major. On the other hand, Gonalf and the trigger shot is something of an experience. Not sure if you girls can feel ovulation but I can certainly feel it after I have done a trigger shot, and this pain continues right until my period.
Well I am on day 3 of injections and I am hoping that I will not have to go through another as this could mean IVF for us.
I am up for reading everyone’s day to day journey, so please feel free to express your feeling and symptoms, I think it help.
Talk to you soon.
-
Hi Ltl Panda,
That is no good about your reaction to the Trigger shot :(
I really hope it works out for you this month so you don't have to go to IVF....fingers crossed for a BFP!!
SAM :)
-
Hi Ltl Panda,
I'm with you .... BFP's for all of us!
Sorry to hear that the trigger shots are causing you pain! :(
Excuse my ignorance, but am I right in assuming that trigger shots force ovulation?
I also hope that this is the month and that you don't have to worry about IVF.
I'm CD 5 tomorrow, so it's back on the Clomid for me. :crossfingers:
-
Hi girls,
I've been away for a month or so, and thought I drop back in to say hi. Also I've decided to stop actively TTC at this time, as I just can't get my head in the right place to start taking Clomid again and to deal with any more disappointment. I'm also concerned about my prolonged bleeding over the last 70+ days and I want to get off the merry-go-round.
I'll still be watching and celebrating all your BFP's real soon.
-
Hi Belinda,
That is no good at all about your bleeding :(
I was saying to my DH llast night that if this month doesn't work then we will take a month off and it is only our 2nd month of trying but it is such an emotional time, not only for me but for him as well. And even my Mum!
Good luck with everything.
Today is my 2nd day off the Provera and still waiting for AF. I have a shocking headache today - not sure if it is related or not? I used to get migraines when I was on the BCP from the drop in hormones when I had AF. I am seriously bloated too, which is driving me crazy!! My pants are so tight around my tummy.
Hope everyone else is going well today.
SAM :)
-
Ohhh good morning ladies
Sammy I hope AF comes today and doesn’t cause you too much discomfort, do you normally menstruate, I am assuming no since you are taking provera. I find that taking a month off in between cycles could be a really good thing as it gives you a chance to mentally and physically repair.
missbelinda77, what have the medics have to say about your prolonged bleeding. You should increase your iron intake as the loss of blood will really mess you up, please take care of your self babe, hopefully you will not need to do another course of Chlomid and it will happen naturally. Good Luck.
ATryingTime, yes the trigger shot does make me ovulate, I do not ovulate without these, that is why Chlomid does not work for me. I wish you all the best with the new cycle of chlomid, i find that if I try to maintain a normal lifestyle and get involved in many daily activities it gets my mind of all the stabs and twitches. I remember at the start i was so obsessed with all the symptoms that I thought I was going to go nuts.
well i guess will catch up later, have a lovely day.
-
Hey Ltl Panda, nope i don't menstruate by myself (or from memory maybe it is every few months). I was on the pill for about 13 years and I have just gone off it in Jan to start TTC.
Did they give you any reason why Clomid didnt work for you? Hormones are the craziest thing.
SAM :)
-
Ltlpanda: Congrats on the big 0 thats must be exciting you are well on your way to getting your BFP! Could you tell me a bit about the inj? please how long did you try clomid for b4 switching to inj? my gp said that they dont really use inj on their own these day only with ivf gift or something like that is that what you have heard?
Hope eveyone is doing great! Im on CD23 of my first clomid cycle of 25mg cd 2-6 i think i have ovulated but i will find out at my specialist appt on Thursday!!!I have been a bit snappy the last few days and fluttery, crampy feeling in my belly so im not sure what thats about! Also im a bit confused of the other IF meds like femara what is it? and why do they use trigger shots is that with clomid ? Sorry i have only just started with all the IF meds so im unsure of some sorry for asking so many questions!
Take Care

Hi all
Just thought I would come in here as I know many of you go through a lot of OPKs. I have 30 OPK's that expire in Apr 2007 that I would like to give away. I have split them into 6 lots of 5 OPK's. Just email me your name and address and I will pop them in the mail to you straight away - so you should get them Tuesday/Wednesday. My email is missbelinda77@bellybelly.com.au
I rather give them to you guys then let them go to waste, and hope they help bring a BFP your way!
Cheers
Belinda

Hi All
Ktgirl congratulations on af arriving.About time she did for your sake. I hope your bod sorts itself out really quickly and you can get back on the ttc journey again sweety.
BG I"m pleased you have gone to seek help hun. It is so hard trying to cope with sooooo much stuff going on in your life and its not like they are all tiny things either. I do hope you are feeling better.
A big hi to all you newbys in here. I hope you all end up with a bfp very soon.
As for me I'm on cd 24 today and am feeling a bit bown as its coming up to my precious 2nd angels anniversary and I was really hoping to be pregnant again by now. Today is the day I found out I was pregnant last year and thats actually hard to deal with.
I still don't have a computer and its been 2 weeks since mine was stolen. Its amazing how much you rely on something isn't it. Oh well I hope we get a new one soon so I can catch up with everyone.
-
Ltl Panda - When I called the dr about my prolonged bleeding he said that I shouldn't worry that it's just the hormones and it should settle down soon. However, this is not the first time it has happened to me over the years, so I'm just a little bit over it. I really do feel like they don't believe it, and don't see it as a concern. But it's just not normal, is it? I should really own shares in Libra or Carefree.
mako - i'm praying that you get a BFP very soon. how are you going on the metformin?
-
Hi to all the newbies. I hope you all have very successful months and there is a mass exodus from here into the PG threads lol.
Mako- Honey I am so sorry that you are feeling down, just know that I am thinking about you and sending lots of prayers your way. I am sure your angel is smiling down on you and giving you the strength to keep on going :hugs: I hope you get a computer back soon. I have been coming in to check when you come back and have been missing you. I hope you feel better soon.
Belinda- Our bodies do strange things don't they. Mine went the opposite way to yours and once we withdrew all drugs I went on to have an 80day cycle but with no bleeding like you are having. How frustrating that you have been having bleeding for that long. Maybe you should see another Dr about it? You don't want to get yourself too run down either. I hope it all settles down for you.
-
Hey Ladies, Hope you are all well today!
Mako - sorry to hear that you are feeling down :( I am sure your angel is looking down on you too.
AUZZGAL - good luck for your Thursday appt. Hoping that you O'd :) I am not sure what femara is?? I have heard that trigger injections are given when taking Clomid or FSH injections. It helps to pinpoint ovulation. I think that 24 hours after the trigger is when you ovulate. They also use it when doing IUIs.
As for me - I have cramping but still no AF yet...waiting, waiting, waiting!! This is Day 5 after my last Provera tablet.
SAM :)
-
Good morning all,
Hope that everybody had a great weekend.
ktgirl - Thanks for the welcome, look forward to getting to know you better.
mako - My thoughts are with you during this tough time, just remember when you are down the only way to go from there is up.
auzzgal - Welcome, hope that you stay is a short one and you get a BFP very soon. Have you had any side effects from the clomid?
sammi - hope AF hurries up and you can start on your next TTC cycle.
belinda - hope that the break from TTC gives your body and mind a chance to rest and recover. Do you still have any of the OPK's left?
ltlpanda - Thanks for the info on the trigger shots, having only just started on Clomid I am fairly new to all the different drugs and treatments.
Well I am on CD 8 now, so only one Clomid tab left to take, hope the hot flushes ease off soon.
Talk later :D
-
We have a new exciting section for TTC Journals here guys! Enjoy!!
-
Hi All
Mako - hope you're doing ok - i know facing the anniversary of losing your angel is a hard thing, but always know that your little angel is watching over you, waiting to handpick the perfect little soul for you to hold in your arms
AUZZGAL - good luck for your appointment this week
KTGirl - you and i are kinda in the same boat - i've had to take a TTC break til i get my medical (and emotional) issues under control a little. have to say that having a couple of weeks to without the stress of TTC has been nice - should be much better when we kick start again in a few weeks without the stress of surgery looming (here's hoping)
to everyone else, sorry for no personals. haven't been posting here much lately cos of my self-imposed TTC break, so even though i've been reading your posts, i haven't really gotten to know you all - should be back on board very soon. hope that you all have BFP's soon, and that those with issues get them resolved in the very near future so that you can get back to your TTC journey.
-
Good afternoon girls, hope everyone had a good weekend.
Moko, I hope you get a new computer, silly, inconsiderate people for stealing goods, its so upsetting.
Missbelinda, I really hope that your bleeding will not get worse, I wish the doctors would step outside the square and place some individual attention on clients, instead of just following protocols, we are all different, why wont they just give us some special attention and look at our needs as individuals.
Ohhh and ATrying Time, I wish you a BFP with this cycle of clomid and hope you do not have to take more.
Auzzgal, I was on chlomid on only 2 cycles, and they put me straight on the indictable, even with the ingestible, they always have to play around with the dosage as my ovaries always react differently. Once my estrogen levels are high enough, and I have a decent follicle than ill do the trigger shot. I will not ovulate without it. I remember I once had 14 follicles all pretty large, they didn’t want to give me the trigger in case I was going to over stimulate, and I just never ovulated, I was stuck with massive ovaries for a good 2 months. Ahh well what are you going to do, it protocall.
Well ill catch up with you tomorrow. Hope you are all coping ok
-
Firstly thankyou for all your support!
Well i went to the specailst yesterday as i had to go into town anyway as i hurt my back so i rang them and they slipped me so i could go then.
Well i didnt ovulate....Boo Hoo
Im on 50mg CD 2-6 now and will go up each time from there!
I asked the dreaded question what if clomid dosent work? well he said i would have to have surgery (ovarian drilling) and maybe some clomid he says he see;s great success with that! Anyone else had that?
But im hoping and praying that clomid/met will be enough for me!
I have a huge fear of anathesetic so i really hope met/clomid will work!
then when i arrived home AF arrived so im glad that i can start straight away again at least.
What mg's of clomid or met/clomid combo worked for you?
Hope everyone is doing well
All the best
Kristie
-
hi auzzgal. i didn't get any response to clomid either, so i know how frustrated you'e feeling at the moment. turns out my hormonal issues are pretty bad cos even on 150mg i didn't have any response so moved onto injectables and IUI
anyhow, just wanted to drop in and let you know that the ovarian drilling is not a big deal. i also don't like anaesthetics (AT ALL) - i have panic attacks thinking about it, but i figured it was something that had to happen in the TTC journey we were taking, so i just decided to grin and bear it. was up and about same afternoon, and apart from feeling bad AF type pains for a few days afterwards, everything was fine. worst part was moving from standing to sitting or sitting to standing - and even that wasn't bad - just slower than normal! i really hope you respond to the higher dose of clomid and don't have to go down this path, but if you do need the surgery, it's not too serious. feel free to PM or email me if you want more info or just want to chat...
-
AUZZGAL, I really hope that Clomid works for you :)
How is everyone else doing?
As for me - I am not sure what is happening? I posted a new thread with a question about Provera and spotting but I will ask you girls too...
Today is the 7th day after the last tablet of Provera. Yesterday I thought AF had arrived, it was light though. But today - NOTHING!! Except of course the cramping, which has been around for about a week now.
Could yesterday have just been spotting? and is this normal?
I hope everyone is doing well.
Thanks
SAM :)

Starting round 2 of clomid today! YAY AF is giving me lots of pain i hate her......
My best friend rung yesterday and it looks like shes pregnant...................Well i feel like the worst friend in the world cause i dont feel happy for her and i think maybe shes not.. Like i feel i would be so happy if she rung and told me she got her periods i feel really bad as she is a great friend! Still in alot of pain with my back i wish it would go away!!! but at least i start clomid today
When do you take your clomid? night/day
Briggys girl: i added you to yahoo hope its ok Thanks
Hope everyone is doing well!
Take Care
Kristie
-
Hi Auzzgal - Yahoo is fine
i completely understand where you're coming from in regards to not feeling happy for your friend - i always feel a sinking feeling in my stomach when i hear of someone being pregnant - especially the ones that have an "unexpected" pregnancy announcement. i tend to just block them out. i'd hate for anything to happen to them in terms of suffering a loss or anything, but i feel closer to the people who've been through something similar to this iykwim? i don't think you're bad for wishing she isn't pg - we all feel a little envious at times - and i think you're probably just feeling that she might understand a little better what you're going through if she's not - maybe i'm wrong, but i know that's how i've felt about things before... and i'm sure if she rings up and confirms a pg, you'll feel happy for her - eventually....
Hope AF problems calm down for you - she can be a vindictive witch sometimes can't she! i always took clomid at night - minimised any potential for suffering side effects cos i slept through the hardest part of it, plus apparently a lot of hormonal regulation happens while you're sleeping....
hope you're feeling a little better and that clomid works it's charms for you this cycle.

Hello
Sammy darling dont stress, our bodies react differently to these type of drugs. Its unnatural therefore it affects us all in different ways. Provera the first time didn’t make me bleed, and on the second and third AF started after two days of taking the last tablet. It only lasted for two days with very mild bleeding. Some people have proper bleedings but I from what I have read most girls that do not bleed naturally on their own will most likely not have a proper bleed on Provera. Anyways, take care of yourself.
As for me, I am on day 10 of Gonalf injections, waiting to see if hormones have gone up. They increased the dosage from 175iu/ml to 225 as my hormone levels were not increasing. -Stubborn ovaries-. So I am now waiting for my results to see if they are going up. I think I will have another cancelled cycle.
Well I hope everyone else is doing ok, Auzzgal wishing you all the best with this round of Chlomid. My sister in Law is due in about 2.5 weeks, we were both trying at the same time and she conceived while I struggled watching her belly grow. Ahh well. I am really happy for them. They are in their mid 30’s and this is their first baby. I have now learned to let those who are pregnant to share their experience with me, as I find it unfair for them to not express their happiness because I am going through conception difficulties.
Well monash called, levels are still very low. Going to go for a run now…Have a good long weekend girls. All the best.
-
Good afternoon ladies,
I have been loitering the last couple of days and reading a lot, but not posted anything.
I had a bad time earlier in the week and was very down over the whole TTC game.
Tired of the drugs, charting, the scheduling of baby dancing, poas, waiting, etc, etc - you guys know the drill.
Then I come in here and read the thing that you guys are also going through and it gives me the will to keep on going
I just wanted to thank you all for the wonderful community that you have created.
Sammi - Hope AF makes an appearance
Auzzgal - Good luck on your clomid cycle
LtlPanda - Sorry to hear that your hormones aren't behaving :(
Briggsy's girl - I hope the surgery went well and that you recover quickly
I hope eveyone has a great long weekend :D
-
ATryingTime - we all understand how you're feeling - sometimes it's just massively frustrating and heart breaking when things aren't going the way they should be. i can only hope you are having a better time now
as for me, the surgery seems to have gone pretty well. am feeling pretty uncomfy at the moment - have a fat lip, and it's still feeling like there's a fair amount of local anaesthetic pumped into my lips, though i'd have though it would have worn off by now seeing the surgery was 10 hours ago... oh well, them's the breaks! if it's still feeling odd tomorrow i'll contact the surgeon, but for now, i think i'm just glad i can't feel everything yet!!!
-
Hi All
Hope everyone is well!
I had acupuncture today i feel great soooo relaxed! She ae me some fertility herbs as well so i hope with all im doing i can give clomid a better chance of working and it really helps me relax ( cause im such a darn STRESS head) so as long as its doing something!
In the next few months if the clomid dosent work this doc wants me to have ovarian drilling as i said earlier just getting ready incase!lol
Do you know a good ob/gyn in south QLD or not much further then brisbane? that i could see to get a 2nd opinion, I know there is the QLD fertility clinic anyone been there? and Monash anyone been there? and what did you think?
Thanks
Take Care
You are such great support and i wish you all the very best
Kristie
-
hey Ladies,
AUZZGAL, I have had acupuncture too and love it! Sorry I am in Sydney so can't help with the ob.gyn info.
BG, I hope the swelling goes down soon and you are feeling a-ok in no time :)
LtlPanda, I hope those injections start doing the trick soon.
ATryingTime, I totally understand how you are feeling sometimes it all just gets you so down...I hope that you are having a super day today :)
As for me...AF has been doing odd things all week. Spoke to my FS yesterday and he said to count Tuesday as Day 1 so I get to start my 100mg Clomid today!! Which is great. I am having an ultrasound next Monday to check the follicle growth and then I will have a BT on CD21.
Fingers, toes and everything crossed for everyone.
I hope you all have super weekends.
SAM :)
-
Hi ladies,
Feeling a little better at the moment - just planning on enjoying the long weekend and not thinking about anything to much.
I am having a girls movie afternoon/evening with some women from work today and have booked in for my first appointment with an accupuncturist on Monday.
I was a little nervous about the accupuncture, but once again you guys save the day.
Auzzgal - I'm glad that you found the accupuncture relaxing - being a stresshead myself, I am hoping it will aid with relaxation. I also recently took up yoga.
BG - I hope that the swelling goes down soon and that your recovery is speedy.
Sammy - Thats great news about being able to start your second cycle of clomid! :crossfingers: - Here's hoping it's the one
-
Morning
Its great how we are all keeping in touch, and sharing our daily life with one another.
ATryingTime, I am really glad you are feeling better, its so important to have a break from daily sterss.
sammy88, sorry, just having a brain fart, how many cycles of chlomid have you had? I hope this cycle brings you a BFP.
Auzzal, ovarian drill, that sounds scarry. I really hope you do not have to go down this line.
briggsy's girl, I am glad your surgery went ok and hope the swelling goes down.
Well I have been struggling with sore ovaries and the runns all week. Last night was the worst so far. Tomorrow I have a blood test in the morning, so I am really hoping the hormones have gone up.
Well going to Ballarat today for a day trip. Have a good one girls.
-
HI all - hope you're all enjoying your weekend - and for those of us lucky enough to be in vic, looking forward to the extra day off tomorrow (not that it matters for me, i have another week on sick leave....)
well, looks like the swelling is gonna ge worse before it gets better. this morning i woke up with my left eye swollen half closed - but i guess thats what i have to expect - all the paperwork says swelling will get worse for 2-3 days, then improve. it's just frustrating - there's no pain around my eye, so it kinda feels just plain weird!! anyway, things look to be going ok with recovery so shouldn't be too long before i can go back to TTC - yay!!!
-
Sammy: We are at the exact same cycle lol im on my 2nd last day of clomid i take it from cd2-6 Im at 50 mg though.Im glad you lie acupuncture i love it Do you get TCM herbs?
Atryingtime: Im glad others are doing acupuncture i have great success stories even after 14 IVF aattempts etc and they conceive they can unblock tubes etc. Hows Yoga?
Panda: Hope you feel better (((HUGS)))
Take Care
Kristie
-
Hey Ladies,
i do Yoga too and I love it...at first it was hard but now I am really enjoying it.
AuzzGal, Nope I dont get any herbs. I hope we both get BFP on our 2nd cycles - fingers crossed.
BG, I am glad that it looks like recovery is going OK...and back to TTC soon!!
LtlPanda, sorry to hear about the sore ovaries and runs :( Good luck with your BT tomorrow. This is my second cycle of Clomid. The first one was 50mg and I didn't ovulate, so my FS upped the dose to 100mg. Hope you had a good day in Ballarat.
ATryingTime, how was the movie? what did you see? I was so nervous before my first acupuncture appt but it was great in the end! and I couldn't wait till my 2nd appt.
I hope all the ladies in Vic have a great day off tomorrow.
SAM :)

Hi All
Has anyone had cramping from clomid? im on CD 6 havent had any bleeding for a couple of days (Sorry TMI) but the cramping feels like period pain but not really bad just enough to annoy me! Im a little bit snappy but other then that i feel great!
well and my backache i had acupuncture on Friday then i felt so good but today its starting to come back i really need it twice a week but its to far to travel and i just dont have enough time to be able to .
Anyone know how long it's supposed to last?
Take Care
Kristie
-
i found i had mild cramping with clomid a few days each cycle - couldn't decide whether it was a side effect of the clomid, or whether it was the clomid actually working. wasn't real comfy, but was tolerable
-
Hi girls,
I forget to come in here as there are so many of us already in the other thread. Ive been on Metformin for just over 3 weeks now. I have increased my dose only to 1 and half tablets. Still dont know if I will ever make it to 3 tablets a day.
I had hot flushes which have made me turn on the air con and then ive had a runny nose as Ive got too cold. Bad cycle that one is. Only a few minor tummy upsets. I do feel like im getting ovulation pain as well. In my cycles I normally get this anyway but it changes to how it feels. My feet though are really achey. Like pins and needles in some way. Advice from someone was brillant. went to bed with my heat pack at the end of the bed and i had a decent nices sleep too.
Our FS is still afew weeks away so will review then about the tablets and if its ok to stay at this dose.
Hope you ladies are going well.
-
don't give up
I have pocs and my husband low count. We tried for 2.5 yrs with no luck. We then tried clomid (twice) again nothing. I didn't realise how getting your period could be so heart breaking. We the went to PIVET (WA fert clinic) and start IVF + ICSI. I only produced 2 viable eggs (march 06), but as the nurse said it only takes one. We now have a beautifull baby boy, all the heart ache just melted away. I cry still to this day in relising just how lucky we are to have him. So all I can say is do not give up, have a cry when you need to and lean on your best friend (usually when you are on a ****tail of drugs and complain that about your partner).
-
Hey Auzzgal, on my first cycle of clomid i had niggly pain for about 2 weeks but it was bearable. Hopefully your pains means that your ovaries are working away to create an egg!!
Hi Summer, I hope the met works out for you...and those hot flushes go away. I get them when I take Clomid! Yesterday was awful, it was really warm in SYdney and I felt like it was about 40 degrees!
SAM :)

Good morning everyone,
Hope that everybody is feeling well today.
Well my first acupuncture appointment went well, I was fairly nervous about it, but the woman was fantastic.
The bulk of the time was spent on obtaining medical history etc and then the last half hour was treatment. It was very relaxing and did not hurt :D
She was keen for me to stop trying to conceive and just have treatments with her for about 3 months or so in order to prime my body for pregnancy and has asked me to think about it before my appointment next week. While I am keen to try anything and the thought of a couple of months off to clear my mind and body are very tempting, I am also aware of how long it took to get to the stage that I am at now and how long you have to wait to get in with gyne's/FS's - Anybody have any suggestions?
She is also fairly keen to see my husband and treat him as well as his numbers show high percentages of abnormal with poor forward progession.
Auzzgal - I have only recently started yoga - tonight will be only my third class, and I have to agree with sammy - it is a little difficult, but I am enjoying it and I love the quiet time we have at the end. I have also experienced cramping with clomid, however mine tended to be in the last week of my cycle.
Sammy - We just met at a girlfriends and watched 'chick flicks' - Clueless, The Sweetest Thing and then a couple of Buffy episodes.
LtlPanda - Hope you are feeling better and that your trip to Ballarat was great.
What things did you do? Where did you go?
BG - Glad to hear that you are recovering, you will be back to TTC in no time at all
Summer - I have been getting hot flushes and a slightly runny nose since starting on Clomid .
Hope that your syptoms ease up. Glad the heat pack helped with the feet.
Bollie - Thanks for the success story and congrats on your baby boy :D
Look forward to catching up
:D

Hi Girls
Well I went for an US and BT this morning. Even though my hormones were really low, I had 19 follies on my left ovarie and several others on my right. some were pretty big... I am so sore and sad....just have to keep on going. I think IVF is the next step for us.
ATryingTime, its really up to you hun, from my experience I would say to stick to what you are doing now, I also put assisted conception on hold and went through natural and herbal tratment, 2 month and 2,500 dollars later.... nothing. Good luck hun.
sunny_summer, geees babe, if you are already experiencing all these symptoms on 1.5 met how will you cope with 3? take care babe.
Sammy, Auzzgal, hope you girls are coping ok with chlomid. I too had mild cramping on Chlomid, but I think that is beacuse of the formation of the endometrium. Not sure though.
Well girls, I hope everyone is ok and thinking positive...LOve Love.
-
Hi to all you lovelies in here. Sorry I have't been around much as we still haven't got a replacement computer GRRRR to the insurance company. Anyway I hope you are all doing well. BG I hope the swelling has gone down for you and I really hope things start to look up for you too.
I want to let you all know that I won't be hanging out in this thread anymore because I finally got my much wanted :bfp: last Friday and had it all confirmed on Monday. I can't believe this has happened in our month off all medication and all treatment.I'm soooo excited and nervous at the same time.Anyway my little bubba is due mid November and I'm 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant. This has taken us 21 months to get to this point so girls please hang in there and know that it will happen for you too.
