Kristie,Good for you that you dod not have the s/e of the med. I don't think you should worry about if it's working or not...feel lucky!!! I'm sure that it is working though!
I only have the s/e if I eat something that doesn't agree with my body. I've been taking met since June 4th and my s/e are getting better and starting tomorrow I'm adding 100mg of Clomid to the mix. Here's hoping that I will O and get my BFP!

Goodluck to you and don't give up and try not to think that the meds are not working just think of yourself as one of the lucky ones!

    Sending babydust your way!

I am starting on my second round of clomid after the first ended in a chemical preg.

I get some pretty bad mood swings and headaches, but I can deal with it if I end up with a sticky baby...

    Hi-ya all,

I week to go until testing,, then I'll know if I go to my third round of clomid. I hope not...get my BT results tommorrow for progesterone levels....The nurse who took my blood kept asking when the bub is due.....I said I'm not pregnant...I wish they would be a bit more careful with what they say....or read the paperwork properly....or maybe she knows something I don't

Good Luck Kazz I hope you get the BFP....My blood test is next Monday, to see if I go onto my 3rd round of clomid. My first lot did nothing at all apart from give me thrush and make my libido disappear . This month seems to have been a lot better, so fingers crossed I have ovulated.

I'll let you all know Lis xx

Hi everyone. Kazz and Lis, hope your BTs results are good. Sorry you got an insensitive nurse Kazz. I once went for a BT and the woman said, as she was about to stick the needle in my arm, 'I hope you've got good veins because I'm having a really bad day.' I've avoided that path lab ever since!

Welcome, Loula. Hope clomid does the trick for you. You don't say what dose you're taking but I imagine it's 100mg since you're taking two tablets. I don't know anything about whether you should take them together or separately, but I know some people find the side-effects (mainly nausea) are less pronounced if you take them at night. I'm taking 25mg and have had mild side effects such as bloating and nausea. The side-effects can last your whole cycle, not just on the days you take the tablets.

    Exclamation Clomid confusion

HI Loula, I hope clomid works for you..I have read a lot on it and unfortunately there isnt any set pattern to who it works for and at what stage. There is no guarantee it will work and then if it doesnt work the first time, that doesnt mean it wont work on the same dosage the second time...pheww its all very confusing

Hopefully im lucky enough to have it work this second time ....come on little s and I am approaching my 7month no AF anniversary....all those wasted pregnancy tests!!!!

Lou, take both tablets together. It's suggested that taking them at night helps minimise side effects.

I guess I'm back here, too.

I'm a bit of a weird case like Lou. I'm on metformin for my PCOS, but doing IVF. My FS likes to go with natural cycles for frozen embryo transfers so we need to use something to induce ovulation. I don't use clomid though - it doesn't work for me and the side effects for me are just too severe (serious anxiety problems). I use something called letrozole instead, which works in a similar manner to clomid.

    Hi everyone,

Just a couple of days to go now to testing, no spotting yet YIPEE, usually I spot between 3-6 days prior to AF.....

Lismith25: All the best this cycle hoping for a BFP for you...
Mgm: How are you going this month? I think some nurses must need a holiday or something, maybe there overworked....or they could do a course in bedside manners...hehehe
Loula: hope the clomid works for you, all the best.
Saph: Sorry for your loss, hope this second round is better for you..
    Penny1971: Good luck with O....

Ladies please bear with me, Im just gonna throw this out there.

My body is doing some weird things and i need to know if anyone else gets this.

Firstly nausea, after eating.......really really painful nipples, constipation and im getting the dull back ache and stomach gripe, all indicating that af may possibly be on her way...but im only at cd19....is this right and does it mean the clomid is working!!!

Im trying to not get too excited but there is definitely something different going on!!!

I'm about to start my first Clomid cycle (CD 2- 6, 25mg) next week, so thought I'd join in here

I'm a bit nervous about the side effects (except the one where my eggies grow!)!!! Especially since someone just said they can last the whole cycle!!!

I also have to have a HCG injection on CD13, and have heard that it can sometimes cause a false + on a HPT. Is this true? Should I not test, and leave it up to the drs (don't know if I'll be able to help myself!!!)??

    Hi everyone,

Can i join your lovely group. I am about to starrt my first clomid cycle, whenever AF rears her head. I have just finished my first course of provera to try to induce AF (haven't had AF since early Feb), so hopefully AF will come very soon.

I'm really glad I found this thread, its hard when you don't really fit into the TTC, cuz your body has gone crazy!! and don't know what on earth its doing, and you don't fit into the LTTC either.

    Hi everyone.

Welcome Steffy. Hope your AF comes soon so you can start on clomid.

Alicia, I don't know anything about HCG injections, sorry!

Lismith, how are you doing? Those things you describe could be due to clomid - who knows - it certainly seems to do strange things to my body. Good luck!

Sorry to hear no BFP this cycle Kazz. Think my AF is on its way too, although I did have AF symptoms (pain) for weeks and weeks into my last pregnancy, so who knows... I try not to read anything into anything any more! At least my cycle has shortened this time so I can get on with the next one sooner...

Loula I've also taken clomid at various times but when I checked the insert that came with the pills it said something like 'take them around the same time each day - this will help you to remember to take the pills' so I figured taking them at the same time wasn't all that important.
