Hi Ladies, hope it's ok if i join you in here.

Quick bit of info about myself. DH and i have been ttc for 18months. We have had 2 early losses in the last 6 months - all since starting fetility treatment. We have tried cycle tracking, had a Lap and i am now on my 4th cycle of clomid - currently in the tww but holding no expectations for this cycle. Dont ask why, i just dont feel optomistic atm.

Just got back from appoint with my FS as we were going to move onto IUI next cycle but after a lengthy discussion we have decided at this point to continue on our current path and wait it out since i have successfuly fallen pregnant on clomid and the odds are 86% my way on carrying the next pregnancy to full term.

I have been geting the usual side effects - headaches, major hot flushes, oh and did i mention that i feel like a fat, bloated cow? lol! I am moody and my poor DH doesnt know what to do - i think he just mainly tries to keep out of my way.

I hope to get to know you all a bit better

    Hi all,

Tryinglikecrazy - Just thought I would let you know that after my first round of clomid I was shocked at how heavy it was. I had never had it that heavy before and it freaked me out a little. My second cycle was also heavy but my third a little lighter. So all in all I would say it is normal and just means theres lot of nutrients there for you know what when the time comes. Hope that helped

MrsB26 - Welcome and best of luck!!!

Theresep - Hi sorry to hear about the cyst but glad your in a good frame of mind. Well I'm on day CD14 today and waiting for O (Clomid doubled to 100mg to see what happens). Also have a minor case of thrush which I'm not to happy about . So this will be my last cycle on clomid before having a few months break and seeing if I start to O naturally. Feeling a little emotionally drained at the moment and the excitment of TTC has definately decreased over the months.

So my problem at the moment is that my DH is on a bucks night this weekend (same day/day before I usually O) so I'm really not happy about that due to the amount of alcohol they will consume. Is it reasonable for my to insist/demand that he not drink??? Is that possible on a bucks night......I'm guessing probably not. Any hints??? Theres never been an issue about going out and drinking etc...not that my DH is a big drinker but when the boys get together they have a fair few, but since ttc its just becoming a sore point.

    ANyway best of luck

    Hi Everyone

Kristen160 - Cycle 5 has been missed by me due to spotting starting 2 weeks ago which I didn't think was AF, but 2 weeks later still bleeding. My FS has told me to take provera for the next 2 weeks to stop the bleeding and then will hopefully start a new cycle again at 25mg a week after I stop the meds. Fingers crossed something happens this time.

Tryinglikecrazy - I know what you go through with having heavy AF, after my 3rd cycle mine was so heavy I felt that I was losing sooooo much. I asked my FS why this happened and he said that generally when you O AF is heavier. The more follicles you have the heavier the bleed. Makes sense as that cycle I had 5 follicles (cycle was cancelled). So you might have had more than 1 follicle mature hence the heavy AF.

Good luck girls, I will be back in a few weeks when cycle 6 starts.

    Hi Girls

Well Kim's scan on monday was good!! She has two big follicles and so we triggered monday night and will go for the IUI tomorrow morning at 7.30am!! We have learnt our lesson on driving ourselves mad with E2 levels and LH levels, so we just do what the doc says... I gather from the bloods there was no sign of a natural surge, hence triggering last night... Measurements of the follies were 16.9 and 16.5 so pretty much the same so we should be in with twice the chances this cycle!!!

Holly - keep those fingers and toes crossed for us!

theresep - glad to see you are so positive with seeing the natropath and the accupuncture, i loved the accupuncture during my cycles!!

Tryinglikecrazy - Sorry AF is being such a B**** to you. Kims AF is usually heavier after Clomid too, another wonderful side effect huh!

MrsB26 - Welcome to the gang, only pre-requisite is we want to know everything that happens in your knickers, ok maybe not everything, umm yeah close enough! What DPO are you up to?

Mel A - Any news after the dozen egg whites LOL!!

Kristen160 - i would let him go and let his hair down, its a pretty stressful business the TTC and it'll do him good to not have to think about it. The hubbies need a way to release their stress too...

KellyD - Crazy hormones huh? I took the provera once, it sorted my cycle out and stopped the spotting i had mid-cycle, just had to start again! I was waiting for an embryo transfer at the time, so it sucked ALOT!! Try not to stress too much, i know, easy to say...

    Good Luck Girls!!!

I start a brand new job at 8.00 so hope the doc is ready to go!!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Call me Kristy if you like - or MrsB, i dont really mind

Twomums Ha! that's ok, gotta laugh about the undies comment - sometimes i feel like a dirty old man i spend that much time poking around down there. I am happy to share lol. Currently 11dpo for me

Good luck with Kims IUI in the morning

    Kristen
Can you dtd before he goes out? If not i would just let him have a good time, try to think of all those babies conceived when both parties were drunk. My sister has 2 boys, both made that way so i wouldnt be too worried about one night

KellyD I hope the provera gets your cycles sorted out soon

    Me nothing happening atm

    Good luck to everyone
