Question Are we doing the right thing?

As most of you ladies know, DH and I are going overseas on the 30th April. I am now really worried that what if we are making a mistake and we should be trying to actively conceive NOW after all my ops and we have been given the all clear... I am worried that I am leaving it to long... BUT i so want to go overseas again, it is like something is gravitating to me and saying i have to make this pilgrammage...??? I don't know what it is, but being pregnant right now, just doesn't seem right!!! I am so worried we are going to blow all our chances by waiting... Are we making a mistake??? What are your opinions...My surgeon said I only had 10-15 percent chance of reaccuring endo....

If your not ready to be pg then dont hun!!!! Go over seas and enjoy yourself....Its not right or fair to get pg if your not ready for it and you cant if you only want this cause your worried you might leave it to late. But its up to you. You will do what you think is best.

    Good luck hunny

hey leis, no one can tell you whats right or wrong. Sit down with DH and discuss your pros and cons and I am sure you will make the right decision

Here's my two cents worth. You are 31 years old so don't beat yourself up woman! Go and have a nice holiday. With those endo-returning odds - you should go have a nice blissful holiday and not worry about the TTC clock until you get back. If you were 36 - I'd tell you different!

Or here's another idea. (I think you said recently that you were back on the BCP?) Why not choose another (less reliable) method of contraception once you are on holidays, but stay on BCP until you leave.

Hi gals and thanks for your advice.. yep, i know only i we can make the decision... and I know I am only 31.... Oh yeah Kar, I didn't end up going back on BCP as my specialist said it would take to long for my body to adjust when i chose to come off, so we are doing 'quick draw mcgraw' IYKWIM!!! and also avoiding o time ... (God it seems so silly after all i have been through).. we won't be careful whilst on holidays either.. it won't matter if i fall over there.. I think the reason why I am stressing now, is i just spoke with my friend who is pregnant on the phone and she rattled me with her constant all about her and her pregnancy conversation, and didn't bother asking how i was... (see my vent post)..... I am ready for pregnancy but just want to get my trip done... it is number one priority at the moment.. thanks for your thoughts.. everyone else keep adding.. leis xx

I would go on the trip and be very careless contraceptives wise while away. Then you can use an exotic name of where they were conceived!!

Just don't BD anywhere near Far Wallop, Grimley, Lower Piddle on the Marsh, Prats Bottom or Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantysiliogogogoch while you are in the UK.

Leis, I haven't been around the AC threads for very long but I get the impression you've had quite a journey ttc. I say go on your trip, have a ball, hopefully conceive while you are away and come home refreshed, enthusiastic and ready to start your family!

    Good luck with your decision....

Yep! It is that famous one because it is the longest place name. I think it means something about a church near a whirlpool between the trees or something!

Leis maybe this is your body's way of telling you that it needs a break. Take the holiday, relax and enjoy yourself. When you get back you should be totally refreshed and ready to start trying again.

The odds of the endo coming back are pretty low too so dont beat yourself up about it. Do what feels right for you and DH now and try no to worry too much about the future
