Yep, it was not pleasant!! I had a sore throat after my second op too. I was actually awake (just) in recovery when they pulled the tube out after my first op - again BLAH!

Like HM, I don't want to scare anyone unecessarily, but I wish someone had warned me about how painful it could be. Like I said, my first lap was a pretty full on surgery, I was in theatre for 4 hours. No one prepared us for this. My poor DH was a wreck.

I think the huge difference comes with what they actually do during the lap - if it's an exploratory surgery (which most of the time it is for LTTTC or AC patients) then 9 times out of 10 you are going to be just fine!!
