    What happens after clomid?

I was thinking today.. what happens if I dont get pregnant on clomid?

How long can you use the clomid for? I am ovulating on it but is there injections that can be used after? or do you go straight to IUI?

This is my 3rd cycle on clomid. First cycle was 50mg and I didnt ovulate. But I have been on 100mg for this the 2nd month and it doesnt look like it has been successful.

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I am prepared for what might come my way :/

Clomid didn't work for us so we went onto FSH injections, but I then had OHSS (Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome) and Then December FS said are you over this yet to my reply YES!!! So we did our first IVF cycle in Feb and got our BFP end of feb (After nearly 4 years of fertility treatment)... If you need to know anything feel free to shoot me a pm

I think it depends on your specific fertility issues (if known) and your FS' preferences.
I guess it also depends on your tolerence for invasive procedures and financial situation. We never did clomid, but had the option of trying IUI first. We didn't think it was really worth it given the very low sucess rate (relative to IVF) and DH's sperm issues.

Hey Ahurani. There are different levels of clomid and I believe most docs don't like you to be on it for more than 6 months consecutively. I found the side effects quite nasty particularly half way through when as I mentioned in the 2ww forum my whole personality altered. NA-STY!

We then did IUI thinking it was the next least invasive and cheaper option than IVF. I didn't go in with a positive attitude I admit, so instead of doing 2 as we'd agreed I did one only with a BFP.

So we then went to IVF with ICSI.

Speak to your FS as to other possible options and what might be 'right' for you 2.

    Hey Ahurani,

DH & I did Clomid for 6 months & I just had a lap done, which was all clear so we have been referred to a FS right away.
