I would give it a go.
Can you erm...help him out get rid of the oldies so you can get some freshies?
Hope your thrush clears up quick smart and all the best

Ok, so as some of you may know I am having a dilemma.
I am CD 69 today and suspect I am ovulating. I am undergoing a 14 day thrush treatment (cream/applicator) for a mild case of thrush, which is half way done. And when AF turns up in 2 weeks we are starting IUI. (I have had a couple of infections in the last 6 months hence the 14 day treatment.)
For the first time EVER I have had EWCM last night and again this morning and also O pains last night.
Long story short:
I am trying to 'prepare' for IUI and be infection free. The thrush has gone, but I am scared it will come back if we DTD. I have a list of cons because I know all the pro's of falling PG naturally when you have been trying for almost 3 years
CONS:
Thrush may come back
DH and I have not DTD in about 4 weeks so his swimmers are anything but fresh ( he doesn't erm...slap the salami)
Being CD69 is not ideal conceiving conditions for both lining and egg.
It may be too late anyway because the pains/ewcm were last night about 6-8pm
If we do join the 2WW the we have to re-book appointments and wait for a BT to confirm. And if we do conceive, I am worried about m/c because of the less than ideal conditions. WDYT? I am so stuck as to what to do![]()
I would give it a go.

Gosh that would be hard! I guess the thing for me would be that with IUI I'd know that the timing would be perfect and the swimmers would be right where they needed to be, whereas with the magical natural preg it's harder to get the timing right.
BUT - you have EWCM! You have O pains!
You've been trying for 3 years, does a few more weeks make a difference? (I'm not saying that to be like ''pfft, it's only a few weeks'', it's a genuine question because sometimes those few weeks can push you over the edge and have a massive effect on mental health)
There is something a little bit magic about the natural preg that comes out of nowhere, so that would be nice, but I'm guessing the certainty of IUI would take away some of the anxiety. I guess it comes down to whether you want magic and terror, or AC and certainty (and, TBH, probably terror too).
I am no help at all.
Good luck!!
good point about the IUI being perfect timing. My issue is I don't usually have a lot of O signs so this is hard to ignore.
Rach83, lol I need the freshies tonight!
Oh this is doing my head in. I'm swinging towards not DTD and just waiting for the IUI. But if the IUI doesn't work I will be forever asking myself 'what if'
I would do what Joeve suggested and get a syringe, get DH to produce ( good practice for IVF lol) and do it that way! Then you have no risk of cross infection b/w you and DH and hopefully you can still remain thrush free!
Good luck whatever you do x
tasha: i still say wait, i know its hard but realistically if you ovulated last night its probably too late for dtd now anyway. i really think get the thrush sorted & wait for iui, you said yourself its been 3 years & while a natural bfp would be nice the "conditions" aren't ideal with the long cycle & not so fresh swimmers, at least af is in sight now so it won't be long![]()
Ok, I will just wait. Wonder why I got ewcm after years of none? I hope it comes back next time.....
Joeve the applicator expert! LOL you know what i think!
yeah then when you've done the applicator you can poasjoeve style
I am a TTC freak....
Ok just to clarify I have not used the applicator method just thought about it, so Tasha you my dear would be the offical applicator girl should you wish to take up the challenge!
Hmmmm, mentioned it to DH![]()
And does he want to be the applicator boy????????
He thought I was joking, should have seen his face, hilarious.
I think all my ewcm is gone now anyway...
Hee hee our poor DH's they would never think of half the stuff we do. Maybe you do it tradional style then![]()
Maybe I don't do it at all
I think that ship has sailed anyway Joeve. Boo hoo, this darn IUI better work *shakes fist*
girls we had a patient at work last month who got UTD the syringe way- first try after yrs of ttc, no joke!!
Don't think my DH would be impressed either hehe.
Don't worry Tasha, your time will come soon xx
You are kidding? Wow could I be a secret fertility guru without knowing it! *sneaks off to find some syringes*
