i just got my FIRST EVER positive opk!! it is so positive i even took pics to prove it!

i am estatic but now i have a thousand questions...
i am on cd 20 and my temp hasnt risen so im hoping it does tomorrow. does that mean i still need to wait 14 days from today to test on hpt?

cos even though i o'ed today, i will still get my period on cd 28. weird i know.

heres hoping!!!!

p.s im not ready to discuss what the specialist said on friday as im still upset about that... i will let you all know soon...but im hoping its all irrelevant now and that this is my month!!

Hey Danni -big congrats on a +ve OPK!! Get locked into that bedroom!
Did you get the +ve today? If you did then you won't actually ovulate for another 24-36hrs and your temp will go up AFTER you have O'd.
The earliest most HPTs will detect HCG is 10dpo although for many women, levels are not high enough to detect for another 5-7 days later.
Not quite sure what you meant about AF still being due cd28 as the "luteal" phase should be a fairly standard 14d (maybe 10 at the earliest) which would make AF due cd 34 for you -hope that is clear?
Anyway, wishing you the very best of luck for a BFP soon.

I would think you're probably best to wait until you're 14DPO until you test ... it saves the heartache of seeing a BFN (a false one because it's too early).

ok well i always get a 28 or 29 day cycle and looks like i normally o around day 20.

i dunno how...but i must have an 8 day luteal phase...thats what fertility friend says?

hey Dan this is great news.. get down and start BDing honey, but remember you won't acutally 'o' until 24-36 hours after the opk has picked up your rise in hormone.

I remember wishing all the time, when i used the opk's that they were pregnancy tests, as the opks i used you got two lines like a hpt... but alas not to be..
