- Sent from my iPhone, more than likely while I should be doing something else!
do you have PCOS hun? can't remember - but if you do, ovulation sticks are useless to you (sorry!)
if you don't, just jump him!! if he's like most guys, he'd have to be on his death bed to not take you up on the offer!
well i did anywayu and what a surprise he didnt turn it down even though he had tonsilitis and headache hahahaha....um i have been told i have PCOS (but i think i want second opinion on htat coz my last GP AND FS said those tests came back negative and this FS said i have them so not sure ) after i did the test i googled it and found oiut they were useless to tell anyway as i didnt have any symptoms of ovualtin..i am just confused as to what is goin on i did a home pregnancy test since i was supposed to get period last monday and didnt it was negative so i thought oh well better have sex anyway that was if i am ovulating i am covered........
bellabee84, when i started ttc 2 years ago my opk's were always positive. I bought some for the first time ever and what do u know, positive. I tested foe a 7 days, all positive. At this point I knew something wasn't right. I googled and it came up with PCOS. I don't fit into the typical PCOS symptoms, BUT i do have very irregular cycles (used to be like 100+ days!) So after 12 months of trying I think I ovulated 3 timesI went to a OB/GYN and started clomid. The clomid made me ovulate every month, but no luck. However since finishing clomid I now can use OPK's because they work

Maybe you should start temping if opk's don't work for you. Good luck!![]()
Thanks guys all your input defiantely gives me lots to think about i am goin to start chlomid next month and see how we go between now and november then if htat doesnt work i will look into something else the only thing that scares me now is still will it happen?? but also if it doesnt how hard will i have to try for number 2 will i have to go through this all again
infertility doesn't always "hang around" for second and subsequent pregnancies. for some people it does, for others it doesn't
pcos can sometimes be less severe after the birth of a child. i went from cycles anywhere up to 9 months, down to a regular 42day cycle after DD's birth. yeah, it's not your text book 28 day cycle, but it's a HUGE improvement on what it had been. don't focus on worse case "what happens next time" stuff - keep your mind focussed on the here and now - and if you need extra help, you need it. your journey to bubba number 2 can't begin until you've walked your journey for bubba number 1. if you don't ovulate on your own, you're already set to start clomid - one step at a time hun
with regards to the PCOS - there are so many different ways in which it may express - for some people, it is the stereotypical or worst case, for others, they can still have a regular cycle but may have very high levels of free androgens which change their cycle. just because you don't think you "fit" the bill, doesn't mean you don't have it. you may have the hormonal disturbances, but not the actual "pearl bead" appearance to your ovaries, or you may have all of it.
well that helps heaps guys one more question after being told PCOS will show a positive result i did one on monday and got positive so i did one again today thursday and got a negative result for ovulation so does this mean i did ovulate on monday?? and now i am not?? or is it likely i wasnt ovulating then just a coincidence?dont want to get my hopes up but i think i did hten and not now so there is a small chance i could be preggers??
Hope someone has some answers for you![]()
Leave it two weeks care if af arrives. If not, pee on a stick. If it's negative it may be worth talking to your d's about starting some meds to force af to arrive so you can get started
