Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone knows if a HECS debt affects Family payments? DP finished Uni June last year and earns approx $40K atm.. i think part of his income goes to paying that off but when i start recieving benefits will part of my benefits be going to his HECs also? Or will our incomes be combined as a total to the government and maybe will he get less in the bank as the more he earns the more he is taxed?
