My DH also shares the belief that just because he earns more money that he shouldn't consider his opinions to be more valid when it comes to domestic life. According to you husband's philosophy HE would have to do all the domestic duties if he had chosen to marry a woman earning more then him? How would that sit? it's crazy of course.

Remember at the end of the day you can't change your husband but you can change the behaviour you will accept from him, and other people. If you allow it it's an endorsement for them to continue.
