Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I work in one of the few oversupplied areas in the health system which means that I won't just be able to set out the terms for any job I want. The information is coming from the head of my department.
The only union is the AMA - unfortunately it would cost me several hundred dollars to join them to ask the question....
