    Working Mummies Support Group #2

Prob the second one. The first has left a bad taste in my mouth with their disorganisation and just lack of courtesy. The second guy has been in touch a few times just since i interviewed on wed and I think there will be better career growth at the second one

Congrats BD! And yes sounds like the second one would be much nicer.

Welcome AlligatorsMum, yes sounds like life is going to get busy. I'm sure your DS will cope with the bottle. He's used it a bit and once he works out that's the only option at childcare he'll probably be fine. Good luck with it all!

Thanks OP. Well I'm currently working 18 hours a week for the paid job but I do it from home and the timing is flexible so I do 3 hours after DS has gone to bed most nights of the week. Then I'm working on my thesis during the day 5-6 days a week either while DS is at childcare (school holidays now) or with DH. So I guess working 6 full days a week. The paid job should stop a month or so before the baby comes and I'm hoping I can hand my thesis in to my supervisors before the baby arrives (my current plan is to hand it in a week before my due date so hopefully I can manage that and he's not early!)

Congrats BD, and I agree, sounds like #2 is more promising and #1 doesn't quite suit - hope it all works out how you want

Welcome AM - Hope the transition back to work next week goes smoothly for you all ....

OP - DOH re DH being quiet, sucks when your return to work was supposed to take the pressure off financially a bit. I really hope things pick up for him soon

Nyigi - hope bubs doesn't surprise you early and all goes to plan with the thesis

Interview tomorrow. It was initially today via video link but the hiring manager is now visiting (he is located in another state) so I am pleased that I had an extra day to prepare and that its face to face, much easier to communicate and present myself that way. Have prepared thoroughly (thanks OP for your great input too) so feel I am ready. Its not till 230pm though, would have been nice to get it done and dusted early. Good thing is I have a relatively busy morning so that will be a nice distraction from the nerves building etc.

Will report back. On another note I have arranged a week off next week. With all the redundancy stuff about to gain momentum (we get our redundancy dates Aug 18) its about to get hectic leading up until November so thought I'd recharge. Its been a stressful few months and I am rundown and really need a break so it will be good to have some time off to do - well nothing in particular but have plenty of things I want to do (some decorating, set up DDs big girls bed, register at some recruitment agencies if this role doesn't pan out etc etc), just a bit of 'catching up, organising my life' kinda stuff LOL
