    Chuck Steak recipes please :)

Hi i have some chuck steak in the freezer that I want to use up, just wondering if anyone has any decent recipes that I could make. I am not really into casseroles but if you have one that is truly amazing I would like to hear it.
Either in overn or slow cooker is fine.
    Thanks

chuck steak is great to make steak pies out of

    (warning from memory)

    cut it into chunks
    dust it in seasoned flour
brown it in a heavy based pot
use a stock to make the gravy around the beef & the flour
slow cook it for about an hour (until the meat is almost flaking apart)
put it into an oven safe casserole dish
cover it in puff pastry and cook until puff pastry is golden brown

serve with mash potatoes, corn and other yummy seasonal veges

you can also make individual ones in ramekin dishes

    Creamy beef and mushrooms

    2tbs plain flour
    1kg chuck steak cubed
    200g cup mushrooms, quartered
    250ml beef stock
    125ml (1/2 cup) white wine
    70g (1/4 cup) tomato paste
    1 tbs Dijon mustard
    1 tbs paprika
    250ml (1 cup) sour cream
    1 tbs cornflour
    1/2 cup chopped continental parsley
    Mashed sweet potatoe to serve

    1. Place flour in slow cooker. Add beef and toos to coat. Add mushrooms, stock, wine, tomato paste, mustard and paprika. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

    2. Combine sur cream and cornflour in a small jug. Add to the beef mixture and stir to combine. Cook, covered, for 30mins or until mixture thickens.

    4. Stir in the parsley and serve with the sweet potato mash.

    * to save time, you could cook it on high for 4.5 hours

I usually add chopped carrots to the mixture at the begining too.
